Temple was #1 in the country when they went to visit #5 UNC in The Dean Dome in Feb of 1988. The result surprised many as the Owls gave the Tarheels their worst beating ever at that arena.
Many think this game verified the legitimacy of the John Chaney program; a program that would stay in the national spotlight for many years to come.
