Thank you so much. i'm starting the ordering process right now for the QH12 and you made me feel better about it. I'm a mechanical/electrical engineer and I have no doubt that my experience makes this the best machine for me to save some money. I'll have a hot ass, but that's ok!
@@Will-tm5bj I've been trying auctions. No luck. Would make sense for a CAT, Bobcat, CASE, etc. but I still don't have 40k$ they are selling for at auctions.
@CGreciful I got a chery 1 ton machine with a grapple, thumb, flat bucket, and quick attach for 5400 out the door at a Jeff martin auction. It would definitely be worth looking into those and Richie brothers auctions. If I waited 10 more minutes at the auction I could have gotten one for 1800 bucks
@@Will-tm5bj yeah you're totally right. I guess it's time vs. money. It would take 3 days and lots of gas money to go get one from the closest Richie Bros site to me. If I didn't have a disability making long drives a pain in the butt, I'd do the auction in a second.
Thanks for the video. I bought a Typhoon brand but almost identical. I've done a few mods I did 8" blade extensions and added to the top of blade because I got tiered of it spilling over the top and the extensions gave a little more stability. I also added a fan in the engine compartment and planning many more mods maybe I'll make few videos.
Chad, I just ordered the Typhoon two ton machine. Terror 18. I hope it is a good machine. I needed more that a one ton, and there is a huge jump in price from the two to three ton.
@@jameshall4558 So far so good I did break the pin in the upper boom but it was a easy weld fix its definitely stronger now. I've been on many types of equipment for a living. Depending on what your doing these appear to be good for the price. I wouldn't start a business with one but I see people are doing it.
Great Video! Sure it beat a shovel. Pretty impressive how this little machine can do, I help my buddy clean some yard and pick up some heavy cactus around 3-400lbs like nothing. I would suggest change the oil and add fans or you can remove the back panel. 🎉
They are great if you have realistic expectations. Your not getting a kubota machine that's going to give you a 7,500-10,000 hour lifespan. I know single man startup contractors that buy them, run them for 100-200 hours, resale them, and get a new one. The operating cost doing that is about $15 an hour including fuel compared to roughly $31 for a similar sized rental machine. They eventually upgrade to a name brand machine. They are also good for homeowners who are only using it for occasional use.
Like, yea, sure. But the thing is that this is just such simple design. Engine replacement is cheap af. Koop, Kubota engines go for couple hundred dollars, and I'm presuming this is 7.6kW. Then everything else is hydraulic. For anyone who understands hydraulics, replacing broken parts, even the pump, is easy. And it's easy to learn.
My buddy ordered his 1 month ago, but it hasn't arrived yet. He paid around $12,000 for the Ground Hog brand chinese mini excavator and got the post hole digger, hydraulic thumb and the extra bucket that is bigger for moving loose dirt piles.
@@WestonSpiceryeah probably ,with 5 or 6 thousand hours on it and 5 or 6 thousand dollars worth of problems.18 thousand later you still have a clapped out machine.
Man,i feel bad about ya'll not havin any rain. Your topsoil is blowin away like the dust bowl of the 1930s. Love the little escavatir, looks like a real labor saver for sure
As my Grand Dad always said does not matter how good/bad the digger is its better than a shovel !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have run a J.C.B. 1084 for the last 8 years doing light work around the property I paid 6K for it spent about £450 on oils and bits over those years and will get I hope all of my money back if not more ??
it can probably lift it but it wont be pretty. You will tip over as soon as you swing over the side of the tracks. overpowered for its size and small foot print isn't the greatest for lifting
@@restoration-projects That makes sense and super helpful. If I run that route, I will likely lift straight on and reverse down my property, drop, then drive around and repeat but that wouldn't be very efficient. Next equipment level up is just so expensive. Was hoping for something sub $8500 to do the task. Thanks again!
One person gave a comment about it's not a Kubota . Years ago Kubota wasn't a John Deere . Stop talking down on these machines because you don't know they could be the future .
Chcete kopat tvrdou zem je mnohem leps otocit bagr cepelm vzadu ,stroj je prilis lehky 1- 1,2 tuny a nadzvedava se kdyz kopete. Really consider buying one have some land cleaning to do figure this might be cheaper then rent one or Hiring someone to do the work i could do and like the fact it has a briggs and straton motor have an extra one sitting in my garage that i bought while back for a project ended up going a different route
I bought the hightop ht10b about 11/5 year ago. Paid 11.500. Now can find from 6000 and up. Buy beware you do get what you pay for. I have had a few problem. Not bad tho. You do need to be able to work on one. I put quick change for bucket change out. Hydraulic thum. Picked up the cylinder from atwoods for about 100.00 the metric fiiting to are sac hydraulic you will need to fing a hydraulic shop who sales them. I think i paid 10.00 a piece.the hose bought at atwoods to.Add lights. I see you removed the back cover. Mine gets warm to
