I have been watching mega amounts of tutorials for quite awhile trying to find the best way to start as a newbie. I need to feel comfortable with whoever is explaining the process that best suits me. Taaadaaa! Thank you so much for being so patient and articulate, I'm pretty sure I'll finally feel confident enough to construct a mini book!I truly appreciate this tutorial. Perhaps you would make for a wonderful teacher! And I have always admired your creations, very beautiful work, again, Thank you.

I just found your videos and am so glad i did! You make amazing creations with lots of quality and care put into them. Your step by step videos are on point as well, too many times the viewer cannot really see how something was done. You explain your steps well and i love having the measurements typed on the screen. Thanks for showing me ways to create a base to go wild with my own ideas!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial. I have been struggling to find a tutorial which shows the hinge system with a thicker gusset. You have helped me so much and I finally feel I have the confidence to bind my pages! I was worried I would ruin it but I think I will be ok now that I've seen this.

New Follower here....First I'd like to say "You are so awesome"!! My son Kyle is getting married in just over a week and I want to make them a nice mini album, so not my thing. (I make Art Journals and Junk Journals) I know they don't want those, so I set out scouring RU-vid for mini journal tutorials. I have come across some great tutorials, and then I found you..... joyous joyous day!!!! You are just amazing, you make me feel like I can do this. I was looking for a waterfall tut and you were making one in your mini with me series. I've been through most of them then I found this tutorial. I made on using Laura Denison's "Stack The Deck hinge. I totally love how you did yours with 1/2" gussets. I have a ? If I wanted to have 6- 8 hinges, would I add the 2" on the ends and then figure out every half inch to get 6- 8 and add that to the 2" on the ends to get the length of paper I would need? I am a mathematical moron and with the other hidden spine systems they have 1/8" & 3/8" measurements which is too much math for me. I know my comment is more like a short story, but I also have to tell you after seeing the mini series with G45 Children's Hour, I am completely changing my album, I'm going to use G45 A Time to Flourish its like Children's Hour only more adult. I thought this way the can take photos and journal stuff every month for their first yr of marriage. (Especially because they want babies right away) I also plan to make extra journaling card so wedding guests can jot them a note or a piece of advice, then I'll put them in handmade envelopes, then each month for the first year they can open the envelopes and read the journaling spots or tags. I'm really really excited to make this album now thanks to your AWE-mazing "make a mini with me" series. Hoping this finds you well!! ((((HUGS)))) 🌸💕

Hi! I am completely new to scrapbooking. I love how easy your tutorial is to understand. My biggest fear is creating the center part of the album. How do you adjust for more pages or larger or smaller binding sizes? If I had a 3" spine, I would like to add 7 or 8 pages. How do you determine the size of the score width so your hinges fit your spine?

Hiya, your videos are great, so helpful. What thickness of kraft paper is best for the hinge and pages. I made my first album but I had problems with the hinge backs coming unstuck from the spine once the pages were embellished. I used a sheet of scor-tape to attach the hinge system to the spine but in the end I had to drizzle Collall glue into either end to get a good bond. I have several baby mini albums to make from now into next year for family n friends. It's like a baby boom lol.

thank you for your tutorials. i just wonder something. Do you use tyvek inside the hinges also? i would love it ,if you could make a video where you put the tyvek on. i just got tyvek but i dont know if i should put it all over before i score ,or put it on after i glued the hinges together. thank you so much

I wanted to ask you if you use anything to protect your front cover? Like some kind of spray to stop the paper marking? I used Mod Podge on one but wasn't happy with the result

I followed everything but could not see the use of the extra fold line inside the front and back covers to the inside of the one used for the covers. Love the way you put this together. In resizing I had to do a bit of math (ugh) to figure out how wide to begin when I want half inch flanges with a wider space between. Thank you for using good lighting, It helps to follow what you are doing.

Hi! In this tutorial the spine - is it 2 1/2 or 2 3/4? I went to the final walk through on this one and on the screen it says 2 3/4. I would love to try and and just want to make sure I get it right lol. Thank you! (I apologize if someone already asked this)

I've now tried twice to make this but I keep getting cracking along the spine. I've followed the instructions & manoeuvred the covers slowly. The second time I got as far as putting the inside cover in before it cracked. I'm wondering if I'm not leaving enough space between the covers & spine. Or perhaps my paper is too thick or my chipboard may be too thick (someone told me the chipboard in the UK is different to USA). Mine is 3mm thick. Does anyone have any advice as I can't seem to get past this?
