My observation on Samsung Note 10+: If VoLTE is enabled, at the end of an average day, my battery level is around 30%. If VoLTE is disabled, at the end of an average day I still have battery level of 50-60%. It seems like VoLTE uses more battery.

This channel is the best detailed source on voLTE I've found so far. My current project is to setup a voLTE capable phone on my openline Huawei B525s-65a LTE router with a view to getting a personal low cost 4G/5G broadband alternative to the costly cable and fiber broadband in the Philippines. Any suggestions as to what features might be relevant in the selection of a voLTE capable phone for my router & dito sim ? Thanks for any help on this question.

What if I want to use a speaker and mic in an mobile environment (car or truck) instead of a telephone handset? So if I have an LTE Cradlepoint router can I drive two way conversations across it without needing a handset?

Hi you gave nice information. I have iPhone XR which support VoLTE but using JIO sim I can’t make VoLTE call. But same SIM works in android phone. Do you have any idea? I did not get help neither from JIO nor Apple. I wants to know the problem.

Althougth call is made using IP Packets , Charging will still happen on Minutes while making VoLTE call ( No deduction from Internet Data Quota )

Updated Samsung Galaxy S8 and I lost Android Auto connection in my car, wife did not. Went to car dealer and they could not solve problem and suggested I go to our carrier Sprint. Sprint checked phone and found VoLTE turned on. Turned it off and Android Auto works. I asked why wife's works and the answer was the update doesn't always turn it on.
