@@PrincessofthePrincesses I do know of a great harpist who sells books of harp music with all kinds of songs in a category. Her name is Sylvia Woods and she not only gives the harp music, but also easier vs more elaborate versions of each song (plus guitar chords). To start out, I learned from a book called "Harp Olympics Preliminary Round" (it's a purple book). It has some great simple songs to work on specific techniques. It also has a few tips for harpists in general such as restringing, what to do when you get a blister, etc. While I was learning from this book, I was also learning from "Suzuki Harp School Volume 1". This just contains more basic songs to play on the harp. The level of the song's difficulty increases as you reach the end of the book. Nowadays, however, I usually either make up a harp version of a song by ear or look up guitar chords and do "harpy things" based off those if I do not have the song in sheet music.
I’ve been playing now for over two years. Getting up to speed is always an issue for me. I mean if I practice only one song forever I can but if I am working on multiple pieces I seem to always play under tempo. When I play at church I’m up to tempo but usually playing hymns with them left hand only.
Yes, they are called levers and you have them on a lever harp (as opposed to a pedal harp). Lever harps usually have a lever on every string, and they change the pitch by a half step, so you can play in different keys, or do accidentals 😊👍🏻
You don’t have to know how to play the piano in order to learn the harp. I learned it without that training and it was also my first two handed instrument (simultaneous melody and harmony)
The first four notes are identical to "Holy Mountains" by SOAD. (Three minutes and eight seconds in - if I am not mistaken that is the bridge of the song)

Too bad you didn't record yourself when you had actually started. You are playing more difficult pieces, but your perfect hand position hasn't changed, and your tone was excellent all the way through, and anyone who has ever had lessons knows how much time and effort goes into creating a good sound on the harp. Ya' can't fool all of us, young lady! BTW, you haven't changed your clothes in a year ?!? 😁🎶🎵🎶

Was thinking the exact same... it's very misleading... I took harp lessons for a while before covid and it looked or sounded nothing compared to this. If you had put actual clips of yourself together at those stages of development that would have been much more impressive. All I see here is a very good harper playing a variety of easy and more challenging pieces. It's doesn't show actual progress.
Im learning harp since 3 weeks, and i dont have this precision ahah i can see it's just for demonstration. I play piano since 30 years so i will adapt quick, but fingering cannot be rushed
It’s an example from a harp teacher of what progression in complexity when learning harp can look like 😊👍🏻 It’s just intended for inspiration, to show how it sounds when pieces get more difficult. Every person will learn at a different pace, so it’s totally fine if it takes longer than this example to get to this level.
Carrie learned harp many years ago, with lots of harp lessons with teachers 😄 She’s just demonstrating what level of pieces are possible to learn in a year, which we’ve seen with many of our students 🥳🙌🏻
