The original two Max Payne games had no affiliation with Rockstar. Rockstar bought the brand from Remedy Entertainment in 2011 (iirc) and then made Max Payne 3 and ported the originals. Edit: This is actually wrong, Rockstar helped develop both Max Payne 1 and 2, and published both games, it's just that Rockstar didn't fully own and develop the games themselves till Max Payne 3.
@@Burstify Yep, in the time since I wrote this comment I actually learned Rockstar DID have affiliation with the first and second Max Payne, they actually had helped Remedy develop both, and DID publish both games. It just was until Max Payne 3 when it was fully owned and developed by Rockstar, no Remedy involvement. I learned the original from some misinformation that is commonly spread by RU-vidrs (not this guy) that DON'T do their research, remember not all RU-vidrs have respect or dignity, don't believe everything they say.
