You deep dive into so many topics, having so much knowledge packed into a relatively short time, it's almost like having witchy class every video you make. I think I've learned more watching your videos then any other channel I've watched. And while your videos are so in depth and packed with useful information, and good starting points for continuing research, your personality makes your videos relatable and easy to follow. You have a gift for teaching and reaching your audience that is very refreshing. You never talk down to anyone. Already, you have the respect of other seasoned practitioners who make content, or they would not be willing to work with you, and your collaborations are engaging, allowing your viewers a look at other people to follow for other good content. I can see why working on your confidence helped create a richer, more rounded channel by giving you the strength and courage to tackle the more meaty aspects of magic and the craft, making it accessible to all. #blackcat I loved how you touched on the mental health. For YEARS I avoided practicing because I was told you have to be in the right state of mind to practice effectively. I was afraid with my clinical depression, that every spell would backfire, that anything I’d manifest would turn to absolute shit. So I avoided it. Years, wasted. But one day I was like “man…I’m never going to be able to practice. Ever!”, did some more digging and found the confidence to come back to it. You don’t have to be mentally OK to practice. Especially when you can practice to HELP you be mentally OK! So thank you for touching on this. 😊 and the rest of the video…well…I I’m always learning something from you! ❤️

Excellent advice, sometimes we all need to focus on rest and self care. Personally~ Covid knocked out my dreaming completely. All visions, poetry, meditation was challenging and ceremonial ability or the inclination to do anything vanished. I am so relieved, it's all coming back and a wonderful tsunami is lifting me again day and night to a productive creativity flow and my focused fulfilled intentions are coming back. I admit, Remembering dreams is still a bit spotty, which for me is odd as a life long lucid dreamer. I am trusting the journey yet I am impat to remove the veil again and meditate on remembering my dreams each night🎉🎉🎉🎉 I feel immense gratitude for this return AND finding your videos. thank you so much for your insight on the dark night of the soul question!! that was really validating and confirming about what i’ve been going through. what i started doing since i actually asked that question is essentially just focusing on pleasure and joy and playfulness (just like you said!!), wherever it may come from, with no expectations for productivity or capitalistic gains - because i also realized that internalized capitalism was definitely a part of this, i’m autistic and chronically ill and in a deep healing period, and something i’ve been neglecting is giving myself the permission to just Be and Enjoy and not be working constantly towards a job. now i’m again getting glimmers of a new chapter coming, and just trying to keep a big picture point of view and see beyond my current identity and circumstances. i’m feeling super fizzy (as kelly-ann maddox would say) about my craft from this video, as happens with every video from you. also loved that mention about holistic eastern medicine and your experience as a massage therapist learning the brain-body correlation!! you’re so right, the only reason i am able to walk and dance and feel GOOD in my body right now is because i looked back at the psychosomatic side of things (that word def has a certain connotation around it, but psychosomatic illness is literally just as real and physical and life altering). every comment i leave on your videos ends up being so rant-y and excited, it’s so much fun though. also you’re so close to 10k!!!!!

WOW! BLACK CAT! My time certainly was NOT wasted listing to this entire video! I was so excited to watch this video … And I have a short attention span 😂 I will go back through this video with a note book as well. I think the thing that hit me the most … Well 2 things … 1. Your explanation of Aleister Crowley. My opinion was that he was a narcissistic person, but I didn’t have anyone to bounce that opinion off of. 2. I LOVED that you addressed using pop culture references in the Craft the way you did! I used to wear a black dress daily with beautiful jewelry. I have gotten out of that because I am home bound. I have gotten into just wearing sweatshirts and leggings. The truth is that I feel so much more magical wearing my dresses and my jewelry. I also used to wear exotic perfumes that I created with essential oils and I also sold them from an Etsy shop. I had many customers who would religiously order my perfumes. I don’t have my Etsy shop anymore because it really was a lot to do because I was doing all of the work. I was making good money, but it was killing my body. I am realizing that I need to re-write my money goals and create a well-being bowl as well. Those are 2 things I have control over. Also, I was going through my crystals today and found my beads for the Norse Goddess Hel. I want to begin working with her. I identify closely with her because of the damaged part of her body. My body was severely damaged by cancer. I definitely need a re-set! Well, I think this video obviously let me work through my life path 😂 Thank you for what you do! Tammy

Ivy, thank you SO much for answering not only my question, but everyone else's, too! You put a LOT of info into one video. You were totally correct answering my question about knowing which deity to work with. A few days after I posted my question, I KNEW without a doubt I need to work with Hestia right now. She's the goddess of Hearth and Home which makes sense with us temporarily living in our camper while we're trying to find our new home. I have never felt that intense feeling of knowing what I needed to do and who I needed to work with. I didn't know her name at the time, I just knew I needed to work with a deity focused on the home, home protection and the color red and fire. I did my research and Hestia fit all of that. I bought red tea candles to only use for her (before I watched that part of your video) and made her a crocheted gift and have a small altar set up for her. While you were answering my question, I got emotional because I could feel her and you were sort of confirming everything I was feeling. I can't wait for your deity videos. Thank you again for not only this one, but all your others. I'm sorry of binge watching your past ones when I have time. Lol Every time you talk about Chaos Magic I get excited because it's so similar to what I believe and how I practice and it's sort of validating that how I do things and what I believe are exactly what is good for me. Great video and thank you for the shout out! I agree that we do have a problem in ceremonial magick with misogyny. It's something the broader community needs to be better about recognizing and moving past. Fortunately there are a lot of people out there, myself included, working to change that, but it's not easy.

CONGRATULATIONS on the 1 year anniversary! You did EXTREMELY well for starting last year. Yeah, I'm an introvert that stumbles on his words too. I should do a spell to help communication and such for RU-vid. That's awesome that you didn't get down do to negative comments. You definitely want to do videos that you would enjoy or it'll probably suck out anything positive some you. I agree with your reasoning on why you don't post baneful magick videos. For me, manifestation is witchcraft. I would do a spell that evokes the powers of the Goddess Harmonia or another "positive" deity/ Greek daemon. Maybe a Witches ball that could snatch her negative energy/ attitude. Oh wow 5 years to enter a trance state. I haven't tried binaural beats to slip into a different state because one time I clicked on a binaural beats video and I didn't like it so I tried a few others and I didn't like any of them, but maybe I'll try again. Not a lot of people talk about using crystals banefully. I've been thinking of doing a moving spell for our neighbor because my family and I hate the Dad that lives there, he's a f****** know-it-all a****** and he has threatened my Dad saying he will sh** him plus he doesn't pay the water bill! They have a for sale sign up so half the work is already done. Sometimes I right down a word that is my intention and I focus on it while visualizating or repeating the word/ phrase. I would want to talk too 😂🤣 So you're like Jack Skelington? 🤣😂🤣😂 I'm the same. Oh I didn't know you had some form of PTSD, I do too. I had a panic attack while watching the movie 2012, and it was not fun. Cool servator. I HATE when people say you can't practice if you have mental illness or taking medicine. Like more than half of the Witches I've met have at least one mental illness. My new therapist is pretty open with my pagan and witch beliefs and practices. Health care and Witchcraft have been intertwined for millennias, it's really cool. In ancient Greece if you were ill you would go to a temple most likely a Temple of Asclepius and you would sleep there for the night and Asclepius or some Deity or spirit would give you an antidote to help you and if you didn't dream anything you were probably screwed. HOLY CRAP! I try to manifest a parking space in the front A LOT because my Dad is in a wheelchair and I push him so it would help us both. Sometimes I ask Hermes to help. I have tried Green lights too. Oooo controversial topics!!! I think Crowly is a jerk but Thelima is great, I don't know enough about it but it's still a good thing. Could you do a video or a series of incorporating Buddhist philosophy/ practice with witchcraft? WOO naps! Cool spirit story! That question of "If you could only have one tool what would it be?" Is SO unfair and cruel!!!😂🤣 My most used spell is my Hypnos' Hot Chocolate. Ooo a new God! I knew you were going to use ocean deity as an example. I love the Pop Culture spell ideas. The merging of science and Witchcraft is an awesome topic. Keep. Your. Ideas. To. Yourself. It is not selfish to keep your ideas to yourself. Protection magick is preventative magick, that's why I do it.

Thank you so much for talking about my questioning of Aleister Crowley and Thelema. I’ve been on quite the journey finding where I fit within magickal practices. I heavily dislike Aleister Crowley as a person, but I don’t think I should throw away everything about him. I talked about liking the Thoth deck in a tarot group and instantly got called a racist, misogynist stan. I just don’t see why we should throw the baby out with the bath water. But I also want to just say your channel is amazing. I like that you discuss a wide variety of magickal practices. You introduced me to chaos magick which I find absolutely fascinating and I want to look further into cultivating my own practice.

In my experience it is best to be at peace for divination. Emotions are a very good time to request help, protection, or healing for oneself or others. It is never a good time time practice banishing when angry ... better to honor others path and free will and focus on your own growth and send them off your path. I no longer cycle with the moon, but I found when in cycle is a great time to thank your spirits for their companionship. Never forget to honor and thank your dieties

You and I share same beliefs. I never realized there was a label for what I believed (chaos) and it’s much easier to explain to someone 😁 I really do resonate with EVERYTHING you have said. My favorite thing to do is bounce back-and-forth between Huberman Lab, ( my favorite neurobiology, podcast) and Magick videos, particularly yours, considering the strong overlap I feel with many of the personal perspectives you have shared. And here I thought we may have exhausted topics for Q&A sessions, wow was I wrong. I usually get three modes of thought when I ask my question about tech in witchcraft; there is the puritan reconstructionist view that if nature didn't make it it doesn't belong, then the mix answer of as long as it's not directly used like a holder or stand for a wand but not the wand itself, and the final answer which I believe is more on your line of thinking is let magick and witchcraft evolve as it moves into modern times. I have a few projects in the digital phase currently, I like this idea because the only limits are the size of the machine and you own imagination. 🐈‍⬛

15:15 In regards to the negative mother-in-law, I have a few additions if I may. For the cleansing jar, activated charcoal would be a really great addition imho. 1) activated charcoal is used in the medical field to absorb medications and poisons in the case of overdoses when they aren’t necessarily going to pump their stomach. It’s a much gentler option. The charcoal binds to many substances so it cannot then be absorbed and processed by the body (which is what causes the damage). It is then flushed out of the system harmlessly (with some black stool). Look up how it works and it’ll help you understand how it works better. 2) Also, it is *black*. Black absorbs all light, it absorbs heat, it absorbs energy if you will. It is a color of protection. Now, you can get activated charcoal capsules at Walmart for super cheap. Now, if Ivy’s suggestions don’t work, I have something more … intense. You could use a mirror box. The point of the box is that the objects energy, attitudes, actions, etc are reflected back to them. No matter which way they turn, they cannot escape it. Good vibes? Cool, cool. Bad vibes? Well…. You build a box/cube where all 6 sides facing in are mirrors. Inside the box you put something representing the person: a picture, their name with hair taped to it a poppet, etc. You can make the ritual or spell as simply or complex as you want. This can be really intense for someone if they have a lot of work to do on themselves, but again, they’re getting a good hard look at themselves. If it gets too intense, you can always release them from the box.
