Finally a video of someone starting with really short hair, gives a better idea of what to expect with my journey and where I’ll be at my one year. My neck, back and sides are about the length you started and my crown and top are a little longer. I’ve never had locs before, but will be getting my starter locs in a couple of weeks, January 2024.
I combed mine out but you kept it a buck and showed the real process not just the glitz and glam like some of these other channels. I think I'm going to try to start my journey again.
I just keep watching this video because .. my locs are the same length from when you started yours. You’re giving me so much hope to let my hair just BE 😩 I’m so ready to comb them out. But I know there’s a process
Doing to much with your loss, colouring, wigs, styling and touching it all the time especially in the starter lic stage not budding or loced yet. Locs need to be free and let them be and just grow. To many people starting locs for fashion and don't know how to treat it.
I finally ran across a video with someone starting locs with really short hair like mine. Even though this is my 3rd loc journey, I’m 1 month in and I’ve never started with my hair this short…so this is definitely a new experience. I can relate to the unraveling in the back, but they’re getting the hang of it now. Thanks so much for sharing 🫶🏽
Thank you so much for raw video and not hiding things from us. I needed to see your issues with dandruff because I’m on the journey of starting my loc journey and knowing that giving me a lot of hope. My hair like is about the same as yours when I’m starting or even shorter! ❤❤❤❤
I love your loc journey bc you started with short hair I'm two months in to my loc journey 2022. Started with short hair also and I know patience is the key. I'm loving my journey 🥰 your locs are beautiful ❤️
Thanks for sharing. Your journey looks like what mine would look like with wigs, extensions, and wraps. 😂 You hair has definitely come in very nicely. I can’t wait to see how it progresses.
First I love that you showed pictures/videos AND added your own commentary and that meme LOL Loved your first hair style l! I know you was feeling yourself 😂😍❤️ Way to stay patient. I’m still contemplating if I wanna lol my hair 😆
Thank you, u just inspired me to keep going. I was about to take out my starter locks and braid my hair up. You and Your hair are beautiful thank you for sharing 😊👍🏾
Excuse me excuse me my first time watching your video I'm going to just say this me myself and I have natural locs and I have been growing them for a long long time and then when my lost my son 2017 and lost his oldest brother 2019 I cut all my locks off and I started going them back in 2022 but I just want to say this you're beautiful with or without Locs you're gorgeous you're a gorgeous black 👑 but I'm going to tell you that lock journey is something else it'd be something else but now I got my locks looking gorgeous and beautiful 🤩❤️ thank you for your beautiful video have a blessed safe year we got that covid-19 and everything out here just a blessed and safe sista
Great video! The journey is real I cut mine now I'm going threw the process again. But seeing this inspired me to trust the process. Thank you. And when u died it gold that really set it off. God Bless and have a nice day!
Your video is so wholesome. I'm thinking wait no I'm gonna start my loc journey and your video just made me more confident about my decision. Happy locversary giirlll😁
Thank you for such a real video on your loc journey and showing the times you wore wigs over. I’m Currently at the awkward faze but what’s more awkward about my own versus your hair and other videos I’ve been watching is that you and I have similar hair textures, our parting seems to be close to the seem size but, you and others still have more locs than me. On my big head it seems that there’s only a few twist locs so I definitely can’t wear out or would comfortable enough to do so. So I’ve been wearing twist loc extensions over mine till I’m comfortable and confident enough.
Wow! you did a lot with your locs within a year. I'm three months in and I don't do anything but keep my scalp oiled and locs moisturized. I wouldn't have no hair if I did all that.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and from the beginning till 5:49 -5:52 photo you looked like a different person . Keep doin your thing Stay blessed
i was thinking about starting my loc journey before i chopped my hair off because i wasnt sure about the short cut but my hair was DAMAGED from bleaching and dying it over the years so i chopped it off and i’ve been rocking the short cut for a few months almost a year and now im growing my hair out and going to start my loc journey🌱
It was nice seeing your doc's journey because, it gives some what to expect on my journey. Only difference my start locking after 1 1/2 month but, I have a problem with one's closer to my neck struggle to loc like other too. My cousin does waxing dye for her locs too because, she doesn't have to bleach first, and it less damage to her locs. Which is why I will be going that dye way when I start dyeing my locs.
Happy Lociversary!!! Thanks for the uploaded video. I watched your previous one as well and both were really good. (Also really liked the Rihanna music ;p) I was mad for you that two locs went into your faux locs because once they start to connect those sistas don't like to separate. Oh and the septum piercing looks good as well.
This is such a pretty loc journey!! I’m so excited to see mine grow when I get them. I’m starting from a pretty low twa. Wondering if you used any tea rinses for the dandruff issues you mentioned?
Thank you love! I hope you enjoy your journey ❤️ and for my dandruff issue I would do a mini Baking soda and ACV rinse. Since I had starter locs she wouldn’t leave it on for long. I have a video on it if you’re interested!
Mine is much longer than yours but mine unravel too in the back & also on the sides too but I will keep on twisting them back until they intertwine & it gets on my nerves..but yours look good I just started mine about 1 week ago but I'ma make it through
Woah the lemon juice threw me for a loop! Did it help, what’s your rating on your experience? Did it help it grow or benefited your hair or is it just solely a way to bud?? I never heard of this lol !
wow!!!! u did alot with urs!! i just got mine 1/1 in a style and she told me not to do a thing with it because of my texture. not even put anything in it or spray them. i wont be doing anything with it until february when i go for my retwist. i cant wait to style them and hook them up like u did urs!! do u wear a special cap under ur wigs? they were all fire 😍
Sis Your Straight Ends Keep Them ! They Turn Into Faries( Locked Ends) Also Look Into Low Maintenance. Styles Less & Retwisting Less MAY Result In Quicker Thickness & Growth To Each It’s Own (1 Year Nxt Month) Deciding To Free-Form & I Retwisted Every 6-7 Weeks !
The Color at the end omg don’t bleach it lol just keep reapplying it looks so good your locs look great I am growing out my hair as well. But i want to start with two standard twists so waiting on my twa to grow out a little bit more. But your locs are perfect can’t wait to see them 6 months from now
