@@pickyaudiolove your videos as I use my Bluetooth headphones for around 10hrs a night in a forge shop so the noise around me is around 155db constantly. Had a pair of j lab air ANC but lost the the right one so had to find a new earbud to use. had a soundpeats sonic pro and they were honestly terrible sounded like the music was being played from far away with no bass at all. Recently heard about tozo and figured I'd try the nc9 for 40 and it is 5 times better than the sonic pro. The soundpeats app is a joke compared to the tozo app. Your review is great but they keep updating the nc9 as I now have 5.3 on these. Honestly for the price tozo has me as a customer forever just for the sound quality

The earbuds failed at 6 months. the left side makes some weird noises and is very low. These are the second ones that I buy. The first ones, I returned them a few days after buying them due to the same situation. They sound great but they have a serious quality problem. On the other hand, I tried to contact the customer service department which, after a long wait, told me that they would call me back because they did not have an immediate response to my situation. They have good sound quality but it is useless if they also have manufacturing problems.
Same with me. 2 pairs died. The part to worry is I have 6 tws and both the times mw3 were hardly used for even a week. Got my third replacement. Fingers crossed

Great in depth review I agree the sound personalisation takes adjusting the sound to a new level. Really happy with these buds but I am getting some battery drain now will need to test it out further....
I bought these after seeing many reviews, including yours (which was detailed and excellent). After 10 months of daily use, just a couple of days ago the left bud started to drop out and come back in repeatedly. Touching the bud to re-seat it resulted in a loud crackling sound, like a poor electrical connection. This dropout problem got worse and within an hour the left bud speaker was completely dead. The touch control still worked so the left bud was alive - just the speaker had died. Thankfully the retailer replaced them on the spot (Officeworks). For AU$350, I was hoping for a longer life than under a year! My use seems like it was much lower impact than yours - I was pretty careful with them.

Thank you, initial reviews are great but post launch reviews are so much better. Looking for new ones as my sony xm4s battery crapped out super fast. My older cheaper JBLs never had that issue, so i am pretty dissapointed with sony at the moment, even though i enjoyed them for a while.
The wind noise sucks even with the anti wind settings, on a scooter it's crazy. Mine lasted 9 months before the battery no longer wanted to be a battery.
My pair were great the first 6 months. Afterwards they would only last maybe 3.5 hours with ANC on. And maybe 5 with it off. After about a year, my right ear bud would out of nowhere give screams of white noise. Sometimes the earbuds would not charge as well, so I would have to keep taking them in and our the case a couple times until they would start charging. I just got them replaced at best buy, because I do enjoy the sound quality. Hopefully, this pair is better, if not I may go back to sony.
Agreed, regular sound(which was already the best) sounds lifeless and non-enjoyable when compared with sound personalization turned on, it is unbelievable how much they have improved with a single update.
Sennheiser TWS2 survived even the wash machine together with the case. I forgot to put them out of the pocket. Battery life so far is good. Tried TWS3, but never considered a replacement as the sound quality is pretty much equal.
I think the sound personalisation is probably something like a full spectrum eq that’s the chip in the earbud can have access to and fine tune every details and not reducing other frequency bands like the normal manual EQ does…it might also apply volume boost for those eq frequencies selected by sound personalisation feature (as in when the user slide the bar during the personalisation test) so bass mids highs don’t get reduced or affected like manual EQing does (maybe due to the programming coding for such settings?). Just my uneducated guess. Happy to hear more correct answers :)
I bought these a year ago Sound is amazing for this price Have used them regularly and then the right earbud is now not charging Cleaned the contacts etc but to no avail Got a replacement under warranty and worked fine for a while then the same thing happened POOR BUILD So much for German engineering Have replaced them with B&W pi7s2 Sound is miles ahead of the 3’s and better built Bye sennheiser
I bought this TWS MT3 8 months ago, to be honest, the experience of using this TWS is very impressive. It has its own features and applications, and the battery life is long-lasting so it can be used for various purposes such as listening to music, watching videos, meetings, and other needs. However, after 8 months of usage, it turns out that one of my earbuds (the right one) gets very hot and cannot turn on. I thought it ran out of battery, so I tried recharging the battery, but it still wouldn't turn on. I then searched for information from the community on Facebook, turns out I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. Some say that it happens due to using TWS and recharging using a fast charger which damages the components inside the TWS (chipset/battery). Fortunately, if it's still covered by warranty, they replace it with a new item. If not, you will suffer a loss. In my opinion, it's better to buy TWS MT4 instead, and hopefully, it already supports fast charging. Thank you.
Appreciate this video! I was deciding between Sennys M3s and Sonys mx5s. The Sonys are better in most ways, but I like the look of Sennys more and I listed to heavy bass music almost every day. I hope that I will be happy with my choice
It's been two months since you left this comment. Many users complain about the build quality of the sennheisers,. Most of them were left disappointed as the units broke after just three months of use lol. You still have a month to enjoy it I guess.
@@jimboy6414 Good thing that I got Sonys then... which broke after 2 weeks and had them replaced! And the foam eartips seal terribly most of the time and hurt my ears sometimes

I am a long time subscriber, but I have to thank you for your reviews on the Mtw3. I finally bit the bullet and purchased a pair and I am totally thankful that I did. The fit and sound with the update adding so much to the sound (personalization eq) is a great tool. There is so much I have learned over the years. Amazing sound, probably the best sounding earbuds I've owned..and most likely the last pair of Sennheiser I'll buy. After two months of really careful use the right earbuds started making chirping sound and the volume got much lower than left. Pulled the plug off for cleaning and the mesh fell off completely. Had TW2 earlier and they experienced battery issues in less than year. The quality is utter shite.
I like and enjoy the comfort of my Sony linkbuds S so much but you I still miss Sennheiser momentums ...they are just unbeatable to my ears in terms of tonality and balance and clean bass
Funny how different ears are, this morning my left AirPod Pro 2 just popped out of my ear during downward dog in my morning yoga session and I just don’t get a proper seal with them hence the noice canceling is very insufficient. Got back to my linkbuds s as I do frequently beeing disappointed by other earbuds. Thx for the update on the mtw3!
My pair of momentum 3 died they lasted from October of 2023 to July 2024 they had really good sound for my ears at least and nice bass and its still probably my favorite pair of wireless earbuds and im probably gonna buy a new pair on Amazon they are cheaper than when I bought them at best buy
Thank you for the review. I just got the Sennheiser momentum 3 about 2 hours ago and I love it. Me personally, i dont mind the white noise and I have the transparency mode all the way to the highest. Im still waiting for the app to update (its taking so long 😭😂). I did the sound personalization but it didnt sound how i wanted to probably because I had the old app with the 3 band eq. Overall, I think it was worth $180 since it was onsale in Best buy
Ima give a 2-3 week update. So yes they still work perfectly fine. I have some nit picks about the earbuds. 1. Connection: The connection to my phone is slower than the last pair of earbuds I had. So my last pair was a galaxy buds + and something that I noticed is that my galaxy buds only take 4 seconds to pair but the Sennheiser's take like 8 seconds which to me, feels kinda sluggish. I also noticed problems where when you wear both earbuds, the left side randomly cuts out for like 2 seconds and then goes back to normal. A third problem is something that happened once where it would not connect to my phone. I had to just open the case and it connected so that was kinda weird. 2. Build quality: Its great overall except for the fact that the hinge is just, kinda weak? Like with the case closed, if you try to wiggle the lid side to side, you can hear it creek but that just the lid and case just rubbing. This is only when you move the lid side to side when it is closed. when you open it, there is no noise and it does open up nicely since it won't be flimsy when opened all the way. So overall, it's still holding up great. I love the sound quality. Sometimes I do think maybe I should have gotten galaxy buds pro 2. Both options wouldn't have been bad. There's always the up's and downs for anything and i'm a indecisive person so it makes it hard because I had the choice that I could either get a different brand new product that (from what I seen and heard from) has a good reputation for audio quality or I could stick to samsung since I know the reliability and the sound quality is still great from the last pair I used.
By the way thx for your reviews and feedback, i usual don’t like updates as it ruined the sound quality and other stuff in my past experience. But after your review I updated my headphones momentum 4 and discovered the sound personalisation feature really is game changing. I have Sennheiser ie600 paired with a mobile amp. Sounds is day and night vs Bluetooth. and the momentum 3 and 4s with these sound personalisation feature, the sound is really up there. I say 80% if the audiophile quality compare with wired ie600(ie600 is more clean overall, bass is cleaner too, punches deeper vs my mo3/mo4 personalisation setting, so I find it more satisfying with ie600, natural vocal and clear high extensions without being harsh, Bluetooth connection is one reason the sound quality is bit less). Never the less, I need a pair for summer use while not compromising too much on the senny sound that I liked about, So I decided to buy the momentum 3 for summer days use (and made the comparison). I Didn’t want the sweats over ears. And really enjoyed it with such open sound stage and this “back up” pair of momentum 3 is really useful when I find wires that gets in a way in certain situations 😂
Love the originally Sennheisers. Bought the Sennheiser 3s, loved them until the left ear bud stopped working. Nightmare trying to deal with seller and Sennheiser

Hey. Love the video! I found that the app just pauses the music while you fine tune. But I just unpaused the music and I was able to fine tune while listening to music instead of the song provided. :)

I use them, but it has a big problem and it is apparently hardware, because with the guarantee they have changed me up to 3 times and each time the left side has interference for a few seconds, every day it is the same, being a brand as prestigious as Sennheiser and that it has this problem and the most incredible thing is that in the 3 warranty changes they have the same problem on the same left side, but it should be noted that they have great brutal audio quality! Apparently I will have to live with this problem that not even with firmware has been solved. I use iOS 16.5. 😥
Had a pair of these last July and had a horrible connectivity problem with the iPhone so I returned them. They would drop while playing music and then I had to spend up to 10 minutes or more trying to get them reconnected. Terrible experience. Has this been fixed>?
Bang and olufson EQ or EX beats MM3 in every category. Cleaner tighter more detail bass and superior detail in the mids and highs. Also feels more premium.
It's been almost two weeks since I contacted support to resolve a headphone mtw3 warranty issue. Other than “We appreciate you contacting us,” I heard nothing else. So draw your own conclusions, guy
have you used the momentum TWS 4? if yes how is it any different and also did yours ever stop working? For me the right side stopped working twice and does not charge. I wonder if they fixed that with the fourth version

Louder always sounds better - perhaps the new feature with the dot down to the right just makes all bands louder? But I understand it's hard to tell with ears - would need to measure the sound to be sure. Thanks for the revisit.
How many times you had to send them in for repair? They begin to have issues regulary after 3-4 months as you can find out in numerous entries on the net. You would be the first person with a pair which lasts one year and longer I came across. I like these headphones but returned them after the left one began to make high pitch noises already after three months. Still waiting for Sennheiser to get rid of their massive quality problems ever since Sonova bought the company.
Bought mine nearly a year ago. They squealed on the left bud for some reason. They sounded good, but yesterday when I tried to charge them the right one had stopped working and the app wouldn't register them anymore. Expensive but not worth their price. I seen other comments on YT reporting the same problem.
So this means that on May 2024 they will release a new version? I was looking into buying rn but if they are releasing a new version in May is it better to wait?

I watched your video (thank you) but since it's a review I couldn't find what I was looking for, which is - why is the caller unable to hear me? In your video (7:45 to 8:01) you sounded perfectly clear 😯!!! I would really appreciate it if you kindly offer some advice on how you did it. So this is what I did - Took it out of box, charged in case for 30s as instructed, turned Bluetooth on and paired the earphones with my MacAir M1. Next I answered a WhatsApp call on my laptop (before trying out music or anything else). While I could clearly hear the caller perfectly, she could not make out anything that I was saying, apparently I sounded very far away. When I took out one earbud and spoke directly into it, she could hear me clearly. So I don't know how to talk and be heard like you in the your video, with the earbuds IN my ears. Do please help as I looked through Sennheiser videos and Reddit forums and found nothing 😢
I have the MTW3 Earbuds. They sound great but for me they are NOT suitable for gym use. I have replaced my earbuds twice now just because when it gets sweaty the earbuds don't charge after a while at all. You need to regularly clean your earbuds after every workout. Cannot let sweat deposit as after a while the case stops charging the earbuds no matter what you do Anyone else faced this same issue? Would love to know what you guys did
I've gotten myself in the habit to quickly wipe my earbuds on my shirt before I put them in the case. That has worked for me and this is just the case with any true wireless earbuds since they use magnets to charge. If sweat or dirt builds up those contacts won't work.

I never tried them but these or one plus buds pro 2 if you like bass. Nothing ear 2 or airpods pro 2 for more balance. There are plenty of other buds I haven't tried as well
its so weird u havent talked about battery issue like many people have reported so they got 2-3 new pair exchanged and still with same problem and also right or left earbud stop working or anc giving some strange sound... have you honestly never sent your pair to service or got new pair through out the years you have had yours ? I really wanted to buy them but when reading all the reviews on other videos and websites now im glad i didnt buy them but still want them :/ So whats the deal here who should i belive ? i dont want to buy them and they stop working after 2-3 year of normal use.. i mean i can handle battery issue and exchange them by myself but if there is more advance problem with the earbud that happen for no reason after 1 year of using then i would like to know about that already before wasting 300 usd.
I did talk about I just haven’t had the issue myself. I have no idea what the quality control at sennheiser is like. It may have changed, I did buy the buds when they first came out. Either way sennheiser needs to sort it out
I've barely used these ear buds and recently they've stopped charging. Case charges but the earbuds don't. Sometimes both charge if I leave the case open and sometimes just one. But the past few days, the other earbud hasn't been charging. It's such a huge issue. I spent a lot of money on these earbuds and they're already not working properly. I bought the first ones and that had a battery drain issue, but I kept it because of the great sound quality and now the 3s have let me down too and I won't be buying them anymore. Will wait for Sony xm6 or airpods pro 3 in a year or two
Do you ever get slight connection interruptions with them? I have TW 2 and when I'm at the street and even use downloaded track they randomly get cut out. Didn't anything that fixes it, it just randomly happens with the phone
I love the sound and not sure what I can replace it with. My copy died after a few months of use. It started with battery drain like not using them a few days (fully charged) and then there is no battery. Left side battery finishes much faster than the right. Both side then cannot be charged after a while. Returned it and Sennheiser replaced with a new pair. The new copy then worked for a few more months and the left side died. Now more than a year from my purchase date, I returned it the second time. The shop I bought it from was kind enough to lend me their demo unit but I found out that the right side was dead. So now waiting for the replacement (takes a month) trying Audio Technica but not really loving it. Sigh!

Has the latency ever been a problem on these earbuds? I have tested many earbuds and the only ones that havent suffered from high latency were Razer's Hammerhead TWS pros(On PC)

I love them a lot. Havent heard better sound quality anywhere else, however, im having a problem with them. They are making a whistle sound whenever i put the adaptative noise cancelation. I think the left side is busted and the right side is starting to get busted. What am I supposed to do?
Being honest i have both Sonys WH1004 and Sennheiser, and when it comes to the "feedback" of the transparency mode and noise canceling im more into not hearing anything as i can just hear stuff around, its very annoying on sonys that everytime i change something i hear "transparency mode" "noise cancelling mode" while the music or my audiobook is still playing, have to turn 5s back each time and sometimes i just touch its by taking sweat off my forehead or something so i have to do it twice. I have simmilar fit to Yours, i did change Eartips to Silicone and they stay a lot better, biggest with Sonys Eartips is they collect earwax like crazy and its not really possible to clean them out only to replace the whole eartip and any other eartip other than original foam ones are falling off my ears. Sonys good for gym becouse of the noise cancelling being a lot better than Sennheiser ones, but Sennheiser beats them on sound quality.
can someone answer my dumb question? i ordered "Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3" .. so according to the model name it should be MTW3 or TW3. Why are these ones called TWS 3? is it all the same? i dont understand
The sound is good but fitting them is such a pain. It’s never the same twice. Most frustrating thing. Plus that little membrane under the buds always falls off whoever you try to change buds.
Regarding the separation of transparency and noise cancellation controls. I “tricked” my MM3s by first making sure noise canceling was enabled, then in the controls I set it to 1 tap for transparency mode. With that set it toggles between transparency/noise cancellation with one tap, freeing up the rest of my controls.
Mine had battery issues which sennheiser gave me a new set, tge replacements batteries died 8 months later.. My Sony or Samsungs never had that issue. Would I buy again noooo.
Only lasted 9 months Charging dock and pins need work, needs indicator on visible part so you know its Charging. The wind noise while on a scooter or bike is insane. These made me produce a ton of ear wax, i had to get my ears cleaned twice, first pair of ear buds happened way way less with ear phones.
Bought a pair 4 months ago - first LHS phone stopped working, then RHS phone started “cheeping” and went to half volume, then LHS stopped working again and this time even multiple factory resets did not solve either issue. Fit was really difficult to get right and blutooth often cut out even if device was close. Complete disaster, earphones returned - Sennheiser never again 😡

I love the sound of these earbuds, the best i have had so far, but the downsize is that I have had many problems with them, I have sent them two times to the warranty service due to problems with noise and now I am gonna have to send them again because one of them is death, it doesnt charge so i only have one........ very disappointed.........three times. They sent me a new set of them and somehow after six months of good use, one of them starts failing. I love its sound but I am not happy with them at all.

Im using the bose quiet comfort 2s i bought just over a year ago and the sound is starting to get a little tinny and the wireless cuts in and out. Considering upgrading to these while they are only $300 AUD on sale. Its a pity wireless earbuds only seem to work for a year or so, before the sound quality starts to deteriorate.
Quick question. When you are paring the eabuds does it have the classic voice ( the bluetooth device is ready to pair ) If it does I’m not getting it bc it’s 230 bucks i’m not trying to hear that cheap shit
Bought a pair of these in June of 2023. It’s now September of 2023. A few weeks ago they started losing their charge when I put them in the charging base. Ironic, right? They’re now completely dead and totally unresponsive. I have bought many Sennheiser products in the past, but never again. These were a total waste of $300. Very sad considering the price.
I had the momentum 3 for 9 months and I loved the sound, sadly I had to send them in for service as the left earbud lost almost all of the sound for no reason. This is exactly what happened to my momentum 2 but the right one instead (which I had replaced 2 times before due to the same issue). I guess I am just cursed with in-ears
hi 🙏 do you know any bt earbuds app that can set the sound Decibel Output flat to a specific value (say 70db). the app is not about controlling the volume % but to produce a flat Decibel Output Value. say like, watching a movie, no matter if it a sound of b0mb blasting or leaves fall on the water, the flat Decibel Output to the earbud, still the same flat 70db. tq in adv 🙏
Amazing sound, but mine after almost a year, the charging case needed to be charged after 2 charges of lets say 50% earbuds battery.. It depleted so fast! I got them to the service and they are willing to give me the mtw4 so I'm waiting for the new ones
