Man, you weren't kidding! I usually pass on these types of things because I find them to be kinda gimicky, but this sound personalization makes my EQ pre-sets sound downright bad by comparison. I'm glad I decided to watch this video because I typically pass on firmware upgrade-related ones thinking I already know everything there is to know. Major props to Sennheiser for making something that actually works unlike a lot of other manufacturers who put this type of thing in their apps just to be able to say they have one. 😁👍

It's actually your video that let me know there's an update lol I don't really play around with the EQ. But this new function is really cool giving a real time check on the sound difference.

Thanks for this! It really improved my personal sound signature and i'm loving it! My tuning is on the middle right, up slightly but still in the 'circle'. Really opened up the clarity and it slightly lowered the bass but the rumble is still there. Vocals and treble is much clearer and cleaner now. Sennheiser might be onto something great here.

I check for updates for my earbuds from time to time and when I upgraded and found my sound and MAAAAN this update absolutely did it wonders.

The key to fine tuning is to connect to and play through a second device. I can play through my iPad and adjust the settings from my iPhone in real time. Hope that helps.

You mentioned you cannot play your own music while doing the sound personalisation. If you have a tune playing, if you drag your screen down while on sound personalisation and click play, it will play while you are on the sound personalisation screen. Your music turns off if you click it and it takes you to your music app.

G day bro, got these today partly based on your reviews. Agree with your settings making a big difference and pretty much ended up with same. Using marco minnemans latest album as reference ( check it out ) good gym music too for me at least. 😂

I’ve been watching your videos for a while and always have liked your assessment of IEM’s. I have owned so many. I still think the original Senn TW’s are the best, (bought them when they were released in 2018). I bought the TW3’s because the battery on my originals are about gone. I have found the Fine Tuning on the Personalization slightly to the lower right. Not quite as far out from the inner circle as yours. Seems to bring a broader soundstage to me. Anyway, Liked and Subscribed. Michael

Honestly bro I always wanted to get it but the quality control is to wacky and i can’t risk getting it to only find an issue with 1 pair of the buds after couple month of usage ,I can’t really stand such thing specially it’s not available in my country so i will be ordering it abroad

I liked the sound personalisation at first but after a while, the sound felt too compressed to my liking. Now I'm back to EQ and I think it sounds a bit more flat and uncompressed which I like.

Hi Picky! A few weeks ago I asked you about the most balanced earphones for metal music around 150$ and you recommended the Nothing Ear 2. I bought them a few days later for 130$ and out of the box they sounded just fine, but after the "Hearing Test" they sound great! I have been using them for 2 weeks and I can definitely recommend them. Thanks Picky! 👍

I thought this version might fix the buds cherging issue (sometimes left bud wont charge) and the buds sync issue (Sometimes there's no ANC in the right earbud and the sound is crap) Sennheiser already replaced a pair of MTW3 but the second pair have the exact same issues. Firmware did fix the issue where the buds would sometimes remain connected when placed in the charging case though.

I have an issue I can't sign in within the app or register, the button is greyed out and doesn't work and to use sound personalization it's required to sign in

I own both earbuds too and you're 100% right. After the update Sennheiser and B&O really are close with the sound quality and tuning.

Any leads on how to fix the annoying “call ended” that gets prompted everytime? The sound features are amazing and so are the Sennheiser products I had before but this is quite disappointing 😢

Has anyone figured out wether the sliders at the start of sound personalization just position the fine tuning dot or if they add to the tuning? As in, is the dot being in the middle different or the same depending on the slider settings?

I had the same. In the period july 2022 till now I worn out 3 pairs of MTW 3. First pair I had for almost 1 year. The pairs after that a few months. It seems to go wrong with the new updates. Every time same problem, buds were not connecting anymore. I'm not going to update anymore. I've now got my 4th pair because I love the sound and fit so much

Yea you can't go wrong with the Mom3. Another option with a similar tuning I'm currently testing is the one plus buds pro 2

Man I listen to metal a lot, especially obsessed with sleep token nowadays easily the best modern metal band and trust me you will be in love with how these sound, they are better than their big brother momentum 4 when it comes to rock & metal
