Its already been a whole year since I bought my first Wolverine Ultimate, which feels absolutely INSANE to say! I don't think many words need to be spoken about the Wolverine controllers, as much of what I would say has already been said x100 before. I have this friend who just bought an elite controller and within two days, was wondering why his back buttons weren’t working anymore. Got a chance to play with him over the mic (we were playing Elden Ring) and we died from a boss, he raged hard core and I could hear his slamming his controller down on the table repeatedly. Yeah. That’ll do it. Lol

Already had this controller for a year (bought used for $50 without the cable. It was ridiculous value), and despite the annoying inconsistencies with my sticks (magnets?!?) and M3 (because it’s my jump button for everything), it’s definitely my fav 🙌🏽

For the "on the fly" button mapping thing, you just hold it down, click one of your bajillion M# buttons, and then click the button you'd like to map to that button.

2023: got this for about 65USD during Amazon Sale in June 2023. Definitely a much better controller compared to the V2 Chroma which has the shape changed and also feels so much cheaper while costing a lot more

I've been using this for at least 2 years maybe even longer, (it was $110 new I can't even find a receipt though so...). I bought this when there was only one Xbox elite controller and they were super easy to break. I had seen a friend revive me while shooting and strafing and asked him how he did it. He said it was the elite controller so I tried a friend's and saw potential. Bound my layout and I've been using the added buttons more than the standard ones. I've worn in one of the included thumbsticks and turned the stock buttons into hair trigger buttons through sheer wear as they no longer spring up and simply sit above being pressed. M2 is held together by my constantly pressing it as I still use the hell out of it. I've encountered next to no stick drift miraculously and only used razer synapse when I originally set it up. The controllers have a learning curve, but mastering it leads to movement like no other in games like destiny and an advantage only gained by people who know the dangers of taking a finger off a thumb stick. Reliability is through the roof and you even get the benefit of being able to play one handed while you eat (just can't easily look around during this)

Great video man. Can you map your menu buttons to the bumpers? Like for example: in Warzone, the map is assigned to the left menu button and the Xbox Elite 2 allows me to remap it to my top left bumper. I like having immediate access to it.

The red paint on the B button wearing off is something that almost every wolverine ultimate and tournament edition have. It's something to do with the glue they use in the paint where it wears away much quicker than most paint.

I have 2+ thousand hours in Rocket League in 4 years, B still has paint :) But finally LB stopped working. And it seems that there are no replacement parts so local services can't repair it. But everything else works perfectly fine. I'll have to switch to something more popular now to not have this issue in future (Microsoft/Sony).

I don't understand why companies can't just make good premium controllers. I've had my wolverine ultimate for about 8 months now, it pretty quickly developed an annoying stickiness on the left analog stick, so it sometimes just won't come back up unless I wiggle it a little. I don't really play any racing games so I don't really have a use for the analog input, so I just started using a back button in place of it which is more ergonomic for me anyways. About a month ago the right shoulder button started double inputting, sometimes it seems to work fine, and other times it will just constantly happen. I really don't use the controller all day either because I mainly play pc games on mouse and keyboard. The sad part is this is BY FAR the best premium controller I've ever had too. I've had two elite series 2s that both broke within a week and got returned and a battle beaver ds4 that had not great sticks on arrival and developed further problems within the first few weeks, and they wouldn't let me return. (fuck battle beaver) I guess I'm just switching back to my stock ds4 now because I've never had any problems with it.

Little tip for anyone with small hands: on right trigger, use your middle finger. I noticed my aim was kinda trash at first, and then I realized my right thumb was stretched out. I can't really explain why so I recommend you just try it, but with your middle finger on right trigger instead of your pointer, your thumb is less stretched, and once you're used to it, you'll have more fine motor skills, and better aim. It took me a couple hours, then it felt natural and, yep, my aim instantly improved

Honestly, even if you only play on pc, I would recommend trying some games out on controller just to feel the difference and see which you like better.

The buttons stick but I don’t mind because I don’t use them anyways.. for COD, the buttons on back are phenomenal. Bottom right I use for jump, top right I use for inventory, bottom left I use for reload and loot, too left I use for map.. and the top buttons are the game changer.. left one i use for marking stuff and right one I use to swap weapons and armor up. I weapons swap on kids faster than PC players 😂

I might have missed this but Razer DOES NOT sell replacement thumb sticks. I lost mine during a move and now ordering my third controller. Razer pretty much told me it’s a paperweight. Otherwise, I’ve been using the ultimate for three years and now on my third replacement but the performance is well worth the short life. The buttons do end up becoming softer and as the video mentioned, oils from your thumbs do cause a little slippage and the rubber did wear down a little flat. I 100% recommend the controller though and it’s a major game changer for any kind of pvp/competitive player. Thanks for the vid!

Let me add, all three of mine still work perfectly fine all but the buttons becoming a little soft. Unlike the new V2. The left trigger broke on me after only three months. Stick with the ultimate!

I’ve used the wolverine ultimate as my main controller for about 1 year and a half. They are definitely worth it if you’re really into FPS games and if you can afford it. But if you can’t afford to fork over around $150 every 1.5 to 2 years then it’s probably not worth it. The buttons that are least reliable are the ABXY buttons. I had two buttons (A and B) that don’t work anymore. They’re just “stuck” because I no longer hear the mechanical clicking and they’re pretty much unusable. I’ll have to press hard on the buttons several times for them to register. I don’t know why that happened but like I said I only owned it for 1.5 years and those buttons stopped working but I was really quite happy with the controller before that happened. Also it’s not like I pressing those buttons extra hard or anything I got very used to the low amount pressure I needed to exert due to the audible mechanical function. My suggestion when getting this controller is to take advantage of all the mappable buttons and try to map it so you don’t use the ABXY buttons that often. Also maybe try to not play games that rely on you pressing ABXY excessively. I think what caused my buttons to stop working was the fact that I was playing all of my games with that controller and sometimes I could tell I was pressing A and B a fuck ton.

I've just ordered a Wolverine Ultimate, and was expecting this. Yeah, the mechanical front buttons tend to be like that since the first Razer Sabertooth (which I still have lying around somewhere). The mechanical switches aren't robust enough to handle games that require a lot of button mashing. My recomendation is to use something with rubber domes like a standard controller has for those games.

I couldn't agree more I think I had 6-7 of them throughout the last 3-4 years its soo good and so bad at the same time every pro controller nowadays breaks after a couple of months the razer average is half a year I promised myself I wouldn't buy another one its been almost 7 months since my last one broke and I think I'm buying a new one soon (i didn't pay for most I mostly used the warranty on them and got them replaced) almost a perfect controller.

btw i had many other controllers like the ps4 ps5 scuf prestige xbox elite v1 and v2 and i can say without a doubt the ultimate is the best one the scuf is the worse the elite v2 is an ok choice and the elite v1 is great( had mine for 2 years before it broke)

I mapped my M2 to my RT. It’s way faster for almost anything like idk minecraft. Although I also use it for like items in other games such as warzone or apex. So I can easily change to my meds or to my inventory it’s great the m2 and m1 button are my favourite

I've come to realize that the Ultimate is actually too small for my hands. The grips aren't long enough for me. If I try to actually play with my ring fingers I can't stabilize the controller with my pinkies because they're barely on the grip at all

@@dants2444 One of the most durable on the market most xbox controllers have problems within months of use or even weeks this could be the lb/rb button malfunctioning to stick drift to delay but with this controller its literally impossible on top of that it feels so great on my hands its like hugging them and you can always make it so the paddles don’t do anything

I have roughly 16x8cm hands and I can't reach the back buttons with a regular comfortable grip. I'd have to entirely readjust my entire grip into something horribly uncomfortable so it's pointless.

Boss, could you please help? I’m using the Razer Wolverine Ultimate, and my headset works through the headphone jack only through Xbox party chat, but not game chat. I also tried updating the software, but there’s no update available on the screen. I’m very confused as what to do next, since both the Razer & Microsoft websites have the same answers, which don’t work. Thank you for your time.

All controllers are good (depends) Its just depends your preference. Always choose PERFORMANCE Zero Latency or low is good. You dont need allot of buttons only the buttons you need to. Having grip on buttons.

My ultimate controller has lasted me over 2 years with no issues besides the x and rb buttons being sticky and that all my thumb sticks have worn through the rubber and the plastic is all thats left, i havent had any issues with the 2 front buttons and are stick clicky and tactile, and i actually prefer using the solid dpad as it is more comfortable to me

I just got one, but cant figure out how to download the ap for the razor wolverine. I logged into my acount to try to download it and it said it was downloading. But i dont see it. @@fitunity the ultimate and the TE share the same sticks. At least the tips, the shaft of the sticks are different though, with the ultimate They're metal, and the TE utilizes plastic

For $90 I can get get the ultimate from a friend who hasn't opened it would you recommend that getting that at the price over? I play on pc but for some reason, I am way better at apex legends on controller. Even after watching the wolverine te vs ultimate and this I still can't decide lol. I'm currently using a regular Xbox one controller... the left thumbstick glides and the side feels loose( kinda hard to explain)

So far, I've tried 3 wolverine ultimate controllers Amazon refurbs with 90 day warranties. All 3, within 2 weeks of usage, have had the right trigger start feeling super cheap. Like, when you pull it all the way down, it still can move a little and actually squeak. You can subtley feel the trigger almost like it's rubbing against plastic. My brother has had the wolverine tournament for about a year and his triggers squeak and rub like heck, sounding and feeling SUPER cheap. Seems like it's just Razer being their low quality selves. But I went through 6 Elite Series 2 controllers and had to get something different. Basically, all controllers are junk and designed to be replaced often these days.

6 elite series 2? seems unlikely, even though it has a lot of issues. sure you dont just rage a lot? I know several people who break controllers within a few years because they are violent with their button presses.

I managed to put PS4 kontrol freaks on my razer raiju te but oh shit it was hard. Also you are right razer controllers are so fast at responding like in fortnite if I play on 100 ping it feels so smooth for some reason.

My left thumbstick has dead spots when holding it in an up position, causing me to just stop running forward mid-game. It’s pretty dogshit and gets me killed constantly.

Can you review the nacon revolution pro controller? I’ve tried every controller, all trash, and don’t get me started on the elite series 2, billy gates clapped muh cheeks. I play Warzone on pc and I want a 4 paddle/back button controller, prefer ps style stick layout. I might try battle beaver. Sick MJ jacket bro

my hands are too big for the extra buttons. i push them on accident all the time. super annoying. also after 1 year, 3 buttons are failing all within a week.

I tried the wolverine and I liked it but honestly, the thing that kills it for me is the fact that it isn’t Wireless. I abandoned wired controllers since the 360 days when they were introduced.
