i'm no expert just a guy really passionate about skateboarding, but this progression in 1 single year looks INSANE to me, i skateboarded on and off my whole life and never been able to do a single kickflip, doing it so smoothly in 3 months it's mental to me, well done. I'm sure 90% of the people on the planet could never progress this fast on a board, maybe even more.
I'm 24 and just started in April of last year so I'm about one year in myself. I mostly do transition and a little bit of flat. When I saw he learned impossibles, tres, backside flips, etc. before even rocking fakie blew my mind. Its crazy how people progress differently and gravitate to different disciplines within skateboarding. Bravo brother!
Crazy how much you’ve progressed in a yr. comment section saying they’ve been skating go 3yrs+ and still having a hard time landing intermediate to hard tricks. Remember the environment your from and your main friend group, some of you probably skate with people that are not in your circle and some just don’t have infrastructure to promote massive progression like smooth roads. I’m from South Africa, been skating for almost 6month. I’m comfortable on my board, can land pop shuvs 7/10 and my Ollie are horrible. The only reason I’ve progressed is because the road from where I stay has been recently repaired from potholes
been skating for 4 months and i'm trying to push harder on landing more basic tricks like ollies but off obstacles, i got my board on jan 3 and as im writing this down im learning board slides and ollie off a 2 stair , i still have the fear of dropping in for some reason so iv'e found some drop in spots,im more of a street skater and i recomend trying to skate street more than skating at the park, it helps somewhat, keep it up, i dream to become like you
Damn dude goood job I had a similar progression except I can’t Tre or pressure flip but I got heelflips and front heels this makes me wanna make a progress video too
@@spp1d3r u can do it! i stated around 3 months ago and last month i landed my first kickflip (its on my channel lol). I practiced the kick first and then recored myself to check my mistakes, u can do that if u want or upload them and i can help u too
@@ericthaexcellent5225 nah in the last decade i've spent skating, i have seen people learn tricks even quicker than that, it just comes that natural for some.
Welp I feel like dawg now but I’m also motivated bc it’s taken me a year to almost get my kick flips and I’m so close to getting it. Everyone learns at different paces!
Goddamn, I wish I had a young body to hurl down stairs still. I snapped my shit on a pop-shuv 4 months ago and still recovering from surgery. Enjoy the shit out of this, take it seriously and keep pushing yourself. It's more than a toy it's peace and at my age peace is extremely rare. You have the talent with this much progression in only a year, start your brand and you won't have to go to job hell. Good luck!
And that is perfectly fine. Don't let anyone gatekeep your enjoyment. If all you can do is sidewalk surf on your cruiser board, you're doing it right. If you're pushing, we're all on the same team, brother. Never stop.
If you keep skating, I'll say work on tryin to do tricks while goin a bit faster and work on your pop on every trick a bit more. When youre doin all your tricks at bigger heights and speeds, itll definitely feel really good. 1 good way that helped me learn how to pop everything is ollieing up stuff like curbs, 2 stairs, hubbas, 3 stairs, across gaps, etc. Then you just apply what you did to get that pop, to your flatground tricks. You did alot in a year tho, can't say i know many people who have done an impossible or tre flip in a year, so good shit
I’ve watched so many skate transformation vids for the hell of it, but I’ve noticed that goofy skaters seem to progress much quicker. Idk what that means or if it’s even accurate, just thought it was an interesting observation
u make me proud that im a goofy and i havent stepped on my skateboard for forever i think i have only skated for two hour if i add up all the times i stepped on my skateboard i cant skate a lot because the board i have is in my cousin's house and im gonna bring it back home with me this sat im so excited lmaoo
Hell nah bro there are just more goofy skaters lmao. Also most of the people dont record their progress so you cant go off these vids. Its just preference. The key is your mentality and the work you put in
I'm so proud of you!! I can't skate as much as I want since I started school again but this definitely makes me want to! Also if anyone has any tips that'd be really helpful since I suck at just standing on it 😭
nah it’s best to keep your trucks pretty tight but play around w it and skate around as much as you can to get a feel for how tight you want them and only start learning tricks when u start to feel comfortable just riding on the board and don’t let slow progression discourage you you’ll get there in the end :)
hey u think you could help me i find pushing goofy comfortable but tricks seem more comfortable regular but i can’t push regular as good as i do goofy should i just stick to goofy ?
Bend your knees a lil more you’ll get more pop and try flowing around the park as comfortably as you can and the board will start to feel like you can try anything and for tres focus on the your foot in the pocket of the tail and scoop a bit more with a small flick and they’ll be butter
i ordered my board and i think i’m gonna abuse the skater trainers because i always had such good balance on the board etc but can never get the ollie down to proceed onto the cooler tricks
Sometimes i be thinkin like how tf do these people be good at skating for just a year while i skate a year and still shitty and, then i realized they skate literally everyday and i skate every weekend
