CLIP DESCRIPTION:
On the massive pyramid, D'Leh (Steven Strait) starts a mammoth stampede and slave revolt against the wicked masters.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A young outcast from a primitive tribe is forced to defend his people from a brutal onslaught in Independence Day director Roland Emmerich's fast-paced period adventure. Despite the fact that he is low man on the totem pole in his tribe of fearless hunters, a brave young boy (Steven Strait) longs to win the heart of a beautiful princess (Camilla Belle) who is well above his station in life. When an overwhelming horde of powerful invaders forces the hunters into slavery and abducts the princess, the once-aimless boy suddenly finds his destiny taking an unexpected turn. Now, if he has any hope of saving his tribe from certain extinction, this young boy will have to fight for the future to his dying breath.

@Colloquial Soliloquy ok first, camels aren't wooly, not even Slightly(and before you mention the Bactrian camel, the species people associate with the name are the Domestic species, not the wild ones, Wild bactrian camel have much less fur than their domesticated counterparts.) Second, your are aware that farmers shear sheep right? It's a perfect way to keep them from overheating, especially in the Desert heat? Third, It's likely that Mammoths like elephants don't have sweat glands And lastly, why would mammoth have or need sweat gland anyways? The purpose of sweating is to cool the body down when it gets too hot, which would be not only pointless in the snowy environment woolly Mammoths live in but it would also prove detrimental to their survival.

This whole movie could be a nod to the ancient apocalypse theory. That there were a number of advanced civilizations during the Ice Age. Long before we thought advanced civilizations began. So when the ice age ended and the glaciers melted, that submerged much of the Earth’s surface. Which caused most of the evidence of those prehistoric civilizations (like pyramids) to vanish beneath the oceans.

Look like D'leh was trying to bring back the mammoth's stampede memories by scaring them. But when the enemy was getting close, he was doing the hard way by stab through its body. I imagine that when one mammoth was stabbed, it just got it's memory and it's flashback back, about when the caveman scared the herd to cause stampede, and it's finally scream out " Caveman!!!!!!!!!!!!!", causing it's herd to stampede on the enemy. D'leh's also whistle to make his friend scared them, to make mammoth more scared.

Wouldn't it be much more practical to use locally sourced elephants than importing mammoths, that are just going to die in desert conditions. Plenty of species to choose from around then.
