As someone who struggles with binge eating and obesity, the calories on menus has been life changing for me. I understand people on the other end of the spectrum may struggle with the change, but getting rid of the calories is sabotaging one unhealthy group, to benefit another.

I like the calories on menus and I think if it triggers your eating disorder you can use it as a springboard for recovery

@@lxdjt2330 I’m doing really well with the calorie deficit, I’m breastfeeding so it’s not safe to fast. Thanks for the advice though!

I think the calories should be optional though- it's not just struggling with the change its risking full on relapse. I've struggled with both binge eating and anorexia in the past so I can definitely see where you are coming from- but I also think about all the panic attacks I would have in the past when faced with a menu with calories on it- and then I would usually end up eating none of it or excersisng to make up for it, I also really don't like the thought of kids learning about calories in a way that makes them seem bad which will probably happen if parents explain it poorly and stuff. Idk I think you should be able to request the menu with calories on it though

@@anotherhuman3866 That would be an ideal solution in theory! But I used to work on an ED ward and I know most of the girls on there wouldn’t have been able to resist asking for the calorie menu anyway, maybe once you reach a certain point in recovery it would be easier to choose the no calorie menu, but I think the temptation would be very hard. X

Podcasts, now part time job, flat, boyfriend, more subscribers, happiness....& ever so slightly less anxious to vlog in public haha. I remember even sitting in your car filming made you anxious! I wonder in the spirit of not being afraid of calories, if you would do another 10k challenge in the future where you looked at the impact of the challenge, I’ve seen others do this where they weight themselves before and then over the next 10 days to see their weight normalise again.
