Perfect long term review 6 month 10k is what u vl get everything ab d bike. Luving it but want to save money and would buy pratik bike xpluse 200 hope it is 4v one 🤣🤣🤣 Rly thanks pratik and shumi bhai both of u guys given best reviews of v strom I am alredy tight on budget so vl find someone who is selling d vstrom
After completing 15k kilometres on my Vstrom i am really happy with all the things it does. See Vstroms have never been great offroaders but more touring friendly with mild off-road capabilities so see it in that perspective.
Exactly , I am tired of people complaining about this . I own this bike as well and I have done 15k on it . There is no other motorcycle in it's segment that is as good a mile muncher as this one.
@@Hankynopanky True , There are good offroading machines in the market which is totally different segment. VSTROM is chilling in its own segment 🔥 Also Suzuki's 100 years of R&D is no joke.
Just checked 30 mins ago. Suzuki arc at mumbai is offering the bikes brand new any color for 2.35 lacs with all accessories and stuff. It means sales aren't high. Bike is not being bought or sought. When i was looking for one in Oct 2022 it was 2.67 on road. So those wanting to buy...nows a good timem
What if Suzuki introduce a performance kit which includes upgraded suspension with more suspension travel. By doing this short riders will not get affected much and tall riders can get it installed.
Bought it on the first day i.e. 30th May, 22. Same colour. 3 services done. Totally happy with it. No heat. City average 34+ and highway 39+. Longest I rode it is just a day trip of close to 500kms. Never faced any issue till now. Even took it to an beginner level off roading camp, the bike handled off roads of muddy jungle very well. Planning to do a 1200kms+ ride soon i.e. Hyderabad to Pune and back. I'm 5'9" and hardly faced any issue riding it. Very well balanced.
Also please note that tyres do contribute in evaluating ride quality. For example I do ride gixxer 250 naked, I recently changed stock tyres I.e mrf rev c with the latest MRF steel brace, OMG it made huge difference in terms of absorbing bump, braking and obviously ride quality too.
The only serious problem I feel is left hand side pulling which is still unsolved by company. Many vstrom SX owners across India are facing this problem.
1- Best looking bike under 3 lakh. 2- Great engine 3- comfortable setas. 4- great tyres 5- Great mileage Cons 1- Worst gearbox 2- Lack of electronics 3- Bad pricing
I want to address your Cons. I agree with your dissatisfaction with the Instrument Cluster. As far as the Braking is concerned: I HAVE a GSX250R. I personally do not feel the front braking is bad; that being said I do agree that it is DIFFERENT from other bikes I have owned. The two things I noted about the front Brake: 1. Yes, it DOES require more pull from your hand to get it stopped, however, if you are aware of this going in, and you simply pull a bit harder, mine stops just fine. 2. I have not had the chance to look into this, but maybe higher quality aftermarket pads MAY help this. Regarding your complaint about its off-road "Lacking": 1. there are after-market rear shocks that would improve this. 2. You are running with STREET tires, so WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THIS BIKE TO DO OFF-ROAD?! Put some DUAL purpose tires on it, I expect if you make these two mods that the off-road handling will improve dramatically. Lastly, the broken foot Peg. I agree that a company as long lasting as Suzuki TOTALLY Dropped the ball there! If this is not something Suzuki is willing to correct, I would spend the few Bucks, and buy some higher quality foot pegs, BEFORE you take it home from the Dealership! THANK YOU for an excellent review! I bought my 2018 GSX250R Last June. I also think it is the "Perfect" Motorcycle, but I also thing its pros outweighs its cons. I'm waiting with bated breath for that little Vstrom to come to the States. I'm DYING to try one out. If I do like it, I WILL Trade my GSX for the Vstrom!
Reliable, Comfortable & if you want a barebones no tech no frill experience then go for it, loving mine, but big problem is the lack of necessary touring accessories from Suzuki, if you are selling Touring Bike then why not touring accessories
I own a Gixxer Sir...just recently, i had a chance to visit the showroom nearby to place order for few parts that got broken in my Gixxer..i saw the Vstrom parked there...immediately decided to upgrade...but the present Gixxer will also remain with me...
I already bought one and feel same as you said in video, this is very good bike and one should definitely check this. I love its riding comfort and that sweet 250cc engine.
@@m.vpranav795 crossed 10k kms... It's going even great now... Refined and revving like a sport bike... Getting 42 kmplif driven consciously... If you push means you get around 36 to 38 kmpl
After watching this reviews and many others , I finally bought v strom and its the best bike in 250 cc segment, best build quality, the engine , the ergonomics everything is well researched and applied. The suspension has to be stiffer because you cant get good control with too soft suspension , we cant get both, i easily cruised at 110-115 sometimes even 125 and bike was super smooth and infact dint face any heating issues , i had a question, what engine oil do you use ? I added ecstar semi synthetic one in first service, which one should i go next to make it more smooth, should i go for motul 3v or 7100 or ecstar, i have some vibrations on footrace on 2nd - 3rd gear but it goes away on higher gears
I took test ride today, breaking and front suspensions are major concern, I took ride of Xpulse also now I m confused between xpulse pro and vstrom 250
The instrument cluster was far better in the 1st gen Gixxer. At least when a phone's not hooked-up, the panel should have been fully utilised displaying other ride-related info. I am the guy who enjoys and loves the ride, and for me this instrument cluster is totally useless. Take away the bluetooth connectivity: my phone does the job of navigation and other stuff far better than this clumsily-designed LCD panel. And instead give me a better front suspension set-up. For those 2 things, at least, this motorcycle holds no appeal for me!
I’m Looking to buy this bike but I have a confusion either to go with x pulse or this and main purpose is for commute. I like the suspension and comfort of xpulse and I didn’t get much chance to test drive v storm on bad roads but as per your reviews and Suzuki reliability I want to go with v storm. The price is what makes me so hard to make decision now. V storm costs 80k more than Xpulse in Bangalore. Currently I get only free insurance offer on V storm. On top of this some are asking me to wait for Harley or triumph but I don’t want to go for more than 250cc keeping in mind about mileage.
Same here in Guwahati. The dealers are offering insurance discount but still I want this bike only. I have test ridden this bike more than 6 times already and this bike is like a dream. Will be Very good for touring and city commutes. Best of both worlds.
@@pravinpandian7353 I had vibs at lower rpms crossing 5.5-6 rpm would give vibes in seat aswell(not on handlebar mostly on footpeg and little on seat with 6k+rpm) but it was gone after 3rd service. You can try motul 300v 10w4 engine oil lots of users are saying performance improves a lots with this just have to compromise a little with fuel efficiency
Owning this byke for last 7 months . The suspension is agonisingly stiff . It takes ample time for breaking in . With handle raisors from Lluvina and adding extra padding to the seat the ride quality has become bearable to some extent . This bike has excellent pulling capacity . And it's balance is supernatural .
PLEASE BUY GIXXER 150 MONO SHOCK, THE READ ONE , IT IS A DIRECT FIT, SAME SIZE AND IT WILL END ALL YOUR SUSPENSION ISSUES. I AM USING FOR THE LAST 6000 KM PRICE 4.8 K. PLEASE NOTE: DEALERS WON'T AGREE. BUY THE SHOCK ABSORBER FROM SPARES COUNTER AND FIX LOCALLY.
@@manojkumargangadharan9263 That's great sir , recently I have added some padding at the anterior aspect of the seat to reduce constant downward shifting and that extra padding is helping in absorbing the jerks also
@@manojkumargangadharan9263will that void the warranty? Also I saw in another review by bosky from big bear customs, there are many vibrations at 7k RPM. Do you feel the same?
I've been eyeing this bike for soo long now. But with newer bikes in the horizon, I'm unsure if I should go ahead with my decision to buy it or not. Anybody have any suggestions?
I am curious as to what the riders weight is with and without gear. I am the same height and looking at getting this bike but a little concerned as i am 103kg.
Hi. I own an Interceptor 650 and facing lot of wobbling issues and RE service is very bad. Can you suggest a bike that is good for both city and long distance touring. My expectations are that I wanna cruise at 110 to 120 kph without vibes. I’m a 6 ft tall rider and l’m looking for a tall bike with good riding ergonomics
you know for rs 160 000 it's a very good motorcycle. It's a gixxer with more capacities. Stop saying it's not a off road bike. by off road you mean dirty rocky dangerous tracks. But you can ride on villages roads easily with great fun a easyness.
Since you do these long drives.. how do you take care of the wind noise in the helmet, recently learnt that once the ear drum is effected it's irreversible 😅
Thanks for your review of the V Strom 250 it was very informative And as you are a big guy I see you had no issues about that being ergonomically too small I had my heart set on the re Himalayan but the Suzuki is a lot cheaper so I might go for it instead.and I would be on the road a lot sooner. Thanks again.
Great review and pretty detailed one ! I have some questions - please help me answer those. 1) Is this built to last...how is the overall fit n finish ? 2) How is the headlight throw ?is it the same as dominaar ? 3) you told dat front brakes require more effort...? how is overall braking ?does the dual channel ABS do the justice? Or a good tyre would make a difference here ? 4) How is the overall service and maintenance cost 5) Can it do 120kmph all day long without any vibes ?
Biult is average Headlight throw is good but dominar is way better Service cost is manageable Breaking is poor ,parts worst Vibes are controlled Overall for 1.8 to 1.9 lakhs it's better worth
I have owned this for an year Build is Rock solid Service and maintance is minimal and cost very less compared to competitors Head light throw is normal you would need extra fog lamps It can easily do 120 without any stress or vibes Abs is great I never had any issue with brakes or brakepads Stock tyres are more than good enough for me Never felt the reason to change it It's rock solid to drive the balance and control on high speed makes it so secure I am very very happy with it
@@jayamuralimv1976 oh..dats grt to hear...and I think it's value for money proposition also.See..I am 6'2" in height ..so till 2017 all bikes seemed small to my stature .but recently new ADVs coming up (bigger in size)..which suits taller riders.. Plus point about dis bike which I feel is even though it is 250cc ...but it has 26hp power..!so sufficient for Indian roads.
I have completed 20k KMs on my Gixxer SF250 and I have no complaints on the bike but on their service centers. Bike is just awesome.. Mileage is awesome. Speed is good. This bike and engine listens to you, it will stay under your control. Without any second thoughts choose a Suzuki.
Thanks so much, excellent review. I had a V storm 1000 in Canada and now riding a Honda XRM 125 in the Philippines. This may be my next bike, or the Versys 300. We shall see. Cam
Thank you for the honest review man! I'm supposed to purchase this bike in a week time and YES! I'm sure that I'm gonna consider buying this only! Appreciated with your honest review once again! Keep posting many like this!
A mighty fine bike which Suzuki wont fit with the twin cylinder that global models get 🥲 Its a "V" strom for a reason...its cos it has a V twin and the Indian model doesn't get it
Im a gixxer 155 naked bs3 owner since 2016 and i must tell you that the engine is mind blowing. Till today only the speed reaches to 115 very easily. The main issue is the after sell's service the parts are not available and suzuki don't release the parts in local shops.
250s are cheap to register in South Australia, so makes it very tempting as I like the idea of a Road bike that will do a little dirt road occasionally and be super comfortable on any road! Great Review, reminds me of Sagar Shendikar and Powerdrift!
