There it is, finally closed out a solid new run with my new route that I devised after watching Stackman's previous World Record run; the biggest difference here between this run and what I did before (besides better execution and flow), was going up to a fast 3 houses, and getting up to 5 villagers before allowing 2 of my villagers to die (in order to get the 2x corpses to get the graveyard to track down the catacombs). This allows me to stay on 3 villagers for the majority of early game macro, and then ramp up to 6 villagers (with 3 babies in the houses when 2 of mine die) incredibly quickly. This allows me to utilize the passive macro potential of leaving a villager on huge stack of berry bushes/trees/rocks while micro-ing 2-3 workers to create Brick + Planks and then other utilities.
The 2 biggest time losses I had during the run (besides just freezing up as I was trying to get over motor control barries of being new to the speedgame) was not having the plank on the 2 flint, 2 brick, and 1 villager causing the Smelter to come out late. That delayed my ability to increase my max card cap on the board at the end of the day, and so I had to nix some important resource cards. The last big mistake was probably having bad RNG with the militia dying to the wolf; this is pretty rare but can just happen if you get back rolls (militia have an 80% chance the miss and can low roll damage to be 1 instead of 2 damage).
Beyond this, if I had just played a bit better with that incredible early game and solid mid game, then I would have closed out that long term goal of sub 10 minutes; but incredibly exciting that I have only been playing this game for 8 days and am able to post up a result like this closing out a WR by over a minute; especially with a new route that I labbed myself.
