Awesome! I always flower with shorter times than 12/12. I have found 9on/15off make very nice flowers with less heat and less power. people say harvest is less, if so its only 2-3 grams! great video

Really nice, thinking about that 10/14 light cycle. Probably try that next time and see how it changes things.
@TriStateTrichomes
@TriStateTrichomes Год назад
If you run from start to finish you will shorten flower times, but also reduce yield. This is why I am adding it in near the end to see the difference and I may also try a gradually reduction of day hours throughout all of flower. Something like reduce an hour every 2 weeks starting on week 4. Or something similar. I believe floraflex has a burn and turn method that does something similar. It's on their website. Not a bad idea imo

So running lights on for 10 hours a day throughout flower actually shortened the overall time of flower? Interesting as you would normally think since the plants are getting less light daily that it would take them longer to mature. When you say it shaved time off was this based on tricombs or what did you base the plants being done on? I read mammoths write up talking about different flower times and I was going to give 14/10 a try for the first week, then taper down to 13/11 for another week, then 12/12 until the last 2 weeks then do 11/13 and then finally 10/14 to try and imitate nature. But I've been trying to get as much info as possible from people who have ran different schedules. It seems that running the longer hours towards the beginning like how the sun would be shortens the overall flower time, but if you're saying running low hours from the start shaved time off that's definitely interesting

You could also buy a 1Ib bag of pool shock for like $10 bucks and make 450+ gallons of concentrate. Cheers dude. Keep on it.

Have you ever tried growing a hermie seed? Do they all turn into herm plants?

yes in my experience 90% go hermie. not worth the time

Question: can i "flush" my plants with so much water that all the earth gets washed away so only the roots are left? in my head this makes more sense
@GrowinwithAJ
@GrowinwithAJ Год назад
hermis can produce great bud but it all comes down to if you can keep them controlled so it does polinate any other plant unless u dont care
@TriStateTrichomes
@TriStateTrichomes Год назад
They were saved and not producing pollen socks after treated with switch for a week. However since they wasted weeks of energy producing both male and female traits, followed by the stress I am sure the spray caused. The growth has left much to be desired.
@GrowinwithAJ
@GrowinwithAJ Год назад
@@TriStateTrichomes ok so yeah heck yeah it may be a little weaker in thc and terps than a female plant but yes its worth growing if your not a seed creator. i create my own strains so i pull everything but the best
@GrowinwithAJ
@GrowinwithAJ Год назад
did you remove the polly sacs? if not all the weed in that tent will have seeds and you will have a 50/50 chance of the seeds being hermi depending the other strain it hit. if not careful a hermi can mess up a grow room and future grows unless cleaned good.
@TriStateTrichomes
@TriStateTrichomes Год назад
I removed any that started to grow before they could open. In addition to spraying switch.
@GrowinwithAJ
@GrowinwithAJ Год назад
@@TriStateTrichomes awesome may i ask how many was there and was it in one spot. reason i ask is stress will do it also if its a weak genetics. just topping will cause it and the pollen sacks will start right at the stress point. i test a lot of seeds and see lots of hermis some will only grow 2 sacs ive never used switch but i want to. i hear switch can be handy i want to learn more about it

Climbed in the 130 degree crawl space above the grow and added some R38 insulation. Hopefully that helps a little. the outer walls are not insulated though and i am not sure how to do that without ripping out the exisint walls which is a lot more work than i want to do.
