I can't wait for this to be finished. Living in the area (northwest corner of Richards and Pacific) has been awful. Closing Seymour Street between Pacific and Drake and using it as your own personal parking lot is ridiculous. You have no regard for those you have impacted that live in the area. Finish and open the bike lane, reopen Seymour Street, and make Pacific two lanes again or tell us when that will happen so we can hold you accountable.
granville bridge has so much extra capacity because it was build to handle highway traffic levels. it's much cheaper to do this rather than spend 1bn on another bridge
Most cities in Canada don't have anything substantial to bridge. Montreal being the major exception and there we see a lot of exactly what they're doing here, using existing road bridges for a bit of bike lane.
