Just ordered my first staccato P yesterday looking forward to receiving it. Your information is greatly appreciated the education is a huge benefit to somebody that’s never owned a 2011 or a 1911 for that matter.
This is the best informative video I've seen about the staccato xc pistol and I thank you sir! I love the comparison with all the other pistols on how flat they shoot!
Nice review as always. Would be interested in a video on the trigger replacement - definitely interested in what you come up with for spring replacement.
Yep on this issue at 9:17 I have seen other reviewers demonstrate the slide not closing on the XC due to the spring, they were literally pushing the slide closed after shooting several rounds.
Could you please do a video on the ultra low optics plate for the Staccato pistol made by Ch precision works and the site co-created with you? Am contemplating sending one of mine in to have the hold drilled and the plate mounted. Am curious if it really makes a difference. Thank you!
I wished I watched this video first before ordering lasconcealment holster. For some reason your IWB holster review video doesn't have these discount code.
Great review. Would like to hear about the spring and how you "fixed" that. And also if the pistol performed better after a break in when it came to the pistol being dirty and the slide release not working as you liked. Thank you.
How about reviewing this against the new Atlas Gunworks Artemis v2 , yes I know there is a price difference, I want to know which shoots flatter and any performance differences. Its down to these two guns that I am choosing between. I have shot the Staccato P but not the XC. The Atlas has grip panel options to custom fit your hand better, tons of options for the trigger size and shape, 2.5 or 4lbs trigger pull option, locking and no lock slide stop mags, the magwell comes in three sizes and NO damn grip safety
The atlas is a far better gun. Simple as that. Save some money (crazy thought) going with the Staccato you could put into some minimal gunsmithing and ammo. I own the Staccato because I couldn’t justify spending an additional $2k on an already outrageously priced gun.
Since you mentioned that the spring weight of the staccato XC is only 8 pounds. I installed a Range 18 compensator to my p226 and I heard that ideal spring weight is 8 Lbs to work it out with that compensator so I bought a tuning kit recoil spring from Armory craft however it only comes with 12, 16, 18, and 24 Lbs. Where can I buy such spring?
Are you shooting regular factory ammo or Plus P ammo with that compensator or does it matter? Most reviews I have seen on compensated guns require slow burring power rounds
Factory 115/124/147. It’s a 9mm and people over think the comp situation. It’s not a .38 Super running Major loads where there’s a ton of high pressure gas in a 7 port comp. A 9mm can run a single port.
Always great reviews by the way. When I go to Florida. Do you offer gunsmith services? I want to install that trigger on my Staccato P and that metal grip you have on the video.
Some footage shows the black Staccato magwell but other footage shows what looks to be the Dawson Precision Ice magwell in silver. Is this true? If so, how did you get it to fit your Gen 2 grip? I am looking for a silver magwell for my C2.
Great content as always. Didn’t you say that a 10-8 flat trigger is coming for the staccato or am I dreaming sh$t up? If it’s a real project, would appreciate an update.
Other than the obvious external differences in the slide cuts and comp ports, they're the same gun and I feel that in general people have assigned to much value to the name change and cosmetic updates.
How hard is the compensator on the fiber optic rod in the front sight? In the Sage Dynamics video his was melted. I had a ported S&W 629 6.5" that would blow the fiber optic rod out of the front sight every 24 rounds or so.
Would you possibly consider doing a field strip video for the staccato XC ? I’m a subscriber and I just wanted to share that there are no RU-vid videos on field stripping it ?
Does the XC have anything beyond the P DUO besides the comp and island sight ? Like for 2,000 extra is the only thing I get is a light trigger, and a comp? Not that is not worth 2k just asking if there is any better finishing than the P DUO version, like any hand finishing or barrel to slide match ? Highly considering either gun just deciding between the two as I’m not a super comp fan. But its a beautiful fire arm. I love the integration of the comp and full dust cover.
The comp is kind of a big deal in terms of manufacturing expense, as covered in the video. If you don't like the idea, then don't get one. You'll be plenty happy with the P. By the way, ALL the guns are hand finished at each manufacturing stage, and the barrels ARE matched to the slides.
No, the MSH spring doesn't affect it that much. It requires adjustment to the sear spring. You may want to watch the relevant chapter in my 1911 Duty Tune DVD set.
Hi on cheely website I only see short flat and medium flat ont medium short flat witch one of the is in your staccato xc? Thanks for the information brother 👍
@@justinboss4212 looks like the XC does. Maybe it’s the way the thumb of the glove is sitting. Don’t remember any shots of the gun when he was not holding it.
@@mikediesel2991 except when watching 2 games and have it playing in the background and the only time you look up is when the shooting starts! You watch how you watch I watch how I watch. I could understand if I came for him I asked a question and when I had a chance to go back and look I made it clear it was a mistake on my part. Thx
I would also be interested what you come up with for a spring replacement. I bought a XC a few months ago and have only put 400 rounds through it. I did find if you get up on the slide with your finger it will cause issues. I was shooting 115g and 124g. I know in the Sage Dynamics video he was having that same problem with the slide not going forward as normal there was some hesitation.
I sent mine back to Staccato today having a issue the slide will not go back into battery without hitting the back on the slide. There customer service is very good and I know they will get it sorted out,
Too rich for my blood at $7000 CAD. Especially for plinking at a range. For what is essentially just a "flatter shooting gun". Than a gun that isn't compensated...though I wonder...would a heavier non-compensated gun weighing in at around 42 oz e.g. steel frame 1911 do the same thing? Even better the XC?
I like cool guns, but that is just an overpriced gun for showing off purposes, it don't make anyone any deader. It does have all the features I like in a gun but even if I won the lottery I'd pass on it.

Yes, in the plan. The plate is vastly superior to the factory option in getting the whole setup lower to the slide and most of all getting the irons out of the middle of the optic window.
