I'm so grateful for your helpful videos; they give me a new lease of life. I find this one especially nice and useful. Let me get something off my chest: I love your British accent and expressions. Have a great day, or as close to a great day as you can have in these difficult times. Cheers, Elliott!
Hi Eliot. I'm brasilian and I got married in UK with a british citizen. And I've learning much with you. I can hear you during all my day. Your accent is perfect. Thanks for all 👏🇬🇧
Elliott you banged on again! This lesson is super! Sometimes we tend not to keep our eyes peeled and even the elephant in the room seems to be transparent. It often happens in personal relationships or in biased attitudes: we should give it a go and start to get things off our chests frankly. It is the best way to experience a new lease of life. Take care🇬🇧🍀🇮🇹
According to Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English a phrasal verb "Bang on" has the following meaning - BrE informal "to talk continuosly about somthing in a boring way"
Many Britisher's channels has got the thumbnail: Expressions to use daily, but we didn't used to find that Here the insight was just fab Thank you Elliot Sir..I literally consider uh the best teacher for English
I'm writing a novel about a British couple and your video has helped me a lot. I got to learn so many idioms and words that Britishers use. Thank you so much ❤
"Oi", in Brazil, besides being used to call people's attention, is also used as a greeting, just like "hey" and "hello". In fact, it's the most common and used greeting ever over here.
In Russian we have such expression as "Ой" too which sounds exactly like English or Portuguese Oi. We also use that in situations you've mentioned at the beginning
Elliot, I like the way you always paint a picture for us with examples. Examples help some of us to jog our memories. Your channel is bang on about the best native English tips!!!! Cheers GBU...
Hi Adriana, you live out and express the lesson so sweetly, so beautifully. I am sure Elliot will swim the skies out with joy for his such an intelligent and diligent student in you.
My English teacher!! Because of you I got confidence travel alone in Europe. I practice your video/ lesson everyday at home in front of the mirror because I don't have anyone around me to talk with... You will always look weird when you are talking in English with people here 😂
I follow many English teachers on RU-vid in order to improve my British accent. They are all great but yours is for sure the best! I just love it. Cheers.
A few days ago I shared your video on my weibo and there is a stranger came to me to ask more about your videos. I think it is awsome to meet people in this way. And you are charming when you teach English.
you really helped me alot sir elliot!! all of your lessons i always apply it when i'm speaking english, when i'm reciting infront of the class, and it really helps me alot when we are having a role play and class film making❤️ thank you so much!!
I've just discovered your channel and I liked it a lot. I am listening to all your podcasts during my free time at work. It is so easy and pleasant hearing you speaking. Thanks a lot for your stuff.
Hi Elliot. I have a request. I was wondering if you could make a course where you pick up a short story and read it aloud. I think this is a good way to practise British English. I read somewhere that if you want to master British English, it's recommended that you follow someone who speaks well that accent, and I am following you dear teacher and model. That is why I thought that reading aloud stories will help us keep in touch with your voice. We may also download these stories and listen to them offline and whenever we want to speak. It is just a suggestion. Keep up the excellent work you are doing.
I recently discovered your channel. To be honest, the first impression I had of you wasn't too good. However, as I tried to watch more videos of yours, I have to say I have a total change of opinion. You are, indeed, a remarkable teacher! Your speech is clear and entertaining, while your lessons are effective and informative. You also have a great teaching charisma. Thanks for all the hard work and contribution, all the best. :)
Hello Elliott, your videos are really very helpful and easy to follow for that matter.. I am actually trying to read my comment in british english as m typing it now hahhaa.. Iam an Indian n English is not my language but still i have immense love for it n especially the "British accent". So, Thank you so much for your help.
Thank you, Elliot. I'm a big fan of yours and love your videos. By the way, "either" and "neither" can be pronounced in two ways - /ˈaɪðə(r)/ vs /ˈiːðə(r)/ and /ˈnaɪðə(r)/ vs /ˈniːðə(r)/. Which ones are mostly used in Britain. Could you please make a video about it?

i want to address the elephant in this chat room , your presence in such an active way .to be honest , nowadays pandemic has given me a new lease of life since I've been improving my English greatly ;on the other hand , the more I stayed at home the naughtiest I've become when mum always needs to ask me to pack it in 😅 ;in fact , my mum always asks me to keep my eyes peeled when explaining anything to me 😁. If you ask me about time now , i would say it's beng on 5 pm . now , imagine when the toilet is bang out of order 😱😱😱 it's a real problem .if you want to react to my comment , just give it a go .some of the words I have used in my comment are suggested by Eliot in his latest vedio , does that jog your memory !!finally , I want to get something off my chest , I've been always looking for such friends like you to practise English 😊😊
