I completely agree about what you’re saying about discontinued fragrances. Most of them are big head scratchers. For me, I hate that I’m unable to get the Givenchy Play. I never did try the intense version, but the OG Play was absolutely superb and an incredible, compliment beast. What an absolute shame that one was discontinued… It was superb
5:45 There will never be another Gucci Envy. It was released during the peak time of Tom Ford at the company and there was much more flexibility in perfume creation. The guy gave us M7 when he went to the sister brand. This era is long gone now and can only be remininised. BUT always open to try a new designer. A designer thunder might strike twice.
Yup. That was my scent back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Massive compliment getter. I have a decant that is a little off smelling, but was also fortunate enough to get a 50 ML a couple of years ago that's still 99% full.
I found Versace Man about 3 years ago at a Fiesta Mart. Out of all places I found it at a Mexican grocery store in Houston. Paid $60 and jumped on it right away. Great winter scent.

Samsara by Guerlain is one of my all time favorites and one that I highly regretted not having before it disappeared into Discontinuity! An amazing scent with a lot of personal attachments for me. This is the fragrance that opened my eyes to the fragrance Discontinuation dilemma. Thanks for the video.

I got lucky 2 years back and found 2 Givenchy play intense fragrances at CVS. I thought about buying both but only bought one due to financial difficulties at the time. Wish I would've bought both. They were like 90 bucks each. Regular sized bottle too. I love the smell.. Put a quarter dent in the bottle since then (I have like 100 frags)
One I do have backups of, but unfortunately can't be found anymore: Mugler Cologne. Among the Muglers, also Pure Malt and Pure Havane. Wish we could still get them. One I have never smelled: YSL Rive Gauge. I have a clone of it which smells great: Fine American Blend EDT
I own most of the ones you mentioned. What I don't own the Gucci Envy. Man I wish I had that one myself. Also I wish Joop still made Nightflight as I loved that fragrance! Also I wish Gucci still made Rush for men. That's another good one that I wish I had. I also wish Narciso Rodriguez still made Narciso Rodriguez for him EDT and EDP. I am very fortunate that I have the EDT in my collection. I also wish I had Dior Fahrenheit Absolute. So many fragrances out there that I miss the boat on.

The edt of HiM really is quite uplifting with that violet leaf in there. One of the fresher ambers back in the day. But I'm certainly with you on the OG Versace Man. Still could be one of my favourite designer saffrons ever made. Fantasticly balanced spicy scent. 👌 Would be nice to see more clones of Envy though. Only have half a bottle of Carven's Homme left. 😬
My late grandfather gifted me Givenchy Play Intense a few years before he passed. Sadly, the bottle fell and shattered during a move and I was never able to experience it as much as I wanted to. Hoping one day to find a replacement bottle to honour that gift.
Two that I regret the most are Armani code Profumo and Acqua di Gio Profumo. I started my journey properly in 2022 and back than code profumo was still available It was that time when you could buy code flankers at a very good price cause ships and websites were clearing the stock before discontinuation. Well. It is what it is We have to live with it
