Hi Jim - the garden at 12:50 mins in is mine. Sorry I sent no info. I garden in PA zone 6b. The house was actually built in 1978 and we bought in 2018 and did a total interior /exterior renovation. We purchased from original owners who did nothing inside or out in all that time. Winter 2018 we ripped out 90% of the landscaping and started fresh. Ill send more pics another time with more info :). Love your channel - thanks so much! Karen

I live in south Texas and the most color I have in my garden comes from my Loropetalum. I have five different ones in my front yard along with some other evergreen shrubs and it’s about the only thing that is able to withstand this crazy heat. I’ve given up trying to have beautiful flowers by my southern facing windows. Causes too much stress just trying to keep them alive during the summer. But I love my yard / garden. God bless Texas !! 🥵 ☀️

I love all the positive comments you make on these transformations even though I bet you'd do a few things differently. You're cheering on a following of lifelong gardeners. You done good.

A tree fell and crushed half the garden I've been working on for the last 5 years, converting lawn to garden. Thankfully mostly perennials, so hopefully everything comes back next year.

Oof! Well, a tree trunk can make a nice garden border at least, haha!

You are the reason I found and now love gardening! 🌱🌿🌳 I’m trying to use my new skills to make transformations at my son’s elementary school. My current goal is to provide their playground with privacy from a road, random walkers-by, and an apartment complex; it’s about 50 yards long. Problem is, it needs to be free or at least CHEAP! We are a diverse school with over a third being considered low-income. I have Rose of Sharon saplings that I can plant from my yard, but can you recommend a fast growing and drought-tolerant evergreen that would likely full sun?

Christina, if you're reading this can you tell me what the 3 plants are at 9:10 in the bottom right with the blue flowers?

If I’m not mistaken, this garden was also shown on Gardening with Creekside’s channel several months ago. Christine is a friend of Jenny’s, and I do believe a lot more information was given bc Jenny went over there and walked thru the garden.

@@loricawley54 you have an amazing memory, that's the same garden. Sadly they passed over the plants during the tour about 22 minutes in. If anyone wants to see the tour video it's called "Garden Tour of a Viewer's Gorgeous Garden | Gardening with Creekside"

yep ..we have no fence out front and any bush/plant on our section is a dog pee magnet. I hate it. Can't wait to put a fence in. I hate looking out my window to my garden and seeing people walking their dogs letting them pee all over my bushes , its disgusting, and once one does it there they all do it in the same spot.
