It really hurts me to see the number of views in your videos , don't know why your channel is so underrated but wish that one day everyone would know you as a king of vfx...❤️❤️❤️
One of the many reasons is that William doesn't make scary EGO movies to do his thing. Unfortunately, you see more and more of those self-glorifications in very scary EGO films of the same great and important producers. Unfortunately, I'm increasingly giving up on that.
Hi Bill, Of course, always fantastic work! Delighted that you pulled my comments for your demo. Certainly this Is another video that demonstrates that what I said is exactly spot on! Thanks again for all you do. I know it's a lot of work. I truly appreciate your combo of creativity and technical expertise. And you can highlight that!!!!! In Peace.. Bob
Hi Bob... Just want to say thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback. Very kind and nice! It's always great to know that people are enjoying my videos and can use some of the things that I create. Honestly that is one of the best parts of my RU-vid channel, getting comments and feedback. I read all the comments. It helps me understand what people like and things that I can do to improve and make better videos! Thank You! For watching! Have a super day! Bill
I just got done watching a handful of these videos because I knew there had to be a faster way to edit some effects, and i cant express how happy i am. I Don't have any money to donate right now but i will sub and watch every video to support this man till i can repay the time you saved me💪
Hi William, your videos and tools are absolutely awesome. Finally, I can stop working with pre-highlighted text images and animate which looks much nicer and is more dynamic. Thanks for making these educational videos and sharing your wonderful plug-ins. Keep up the great work. I am a huge fan!
What you have done here is amazing, im glad that i find this video and I am more glad to you for making it! I will be looking up for more! Many thanks!
Thank you so much bro! You did an amazing effects and gave them all free to anybody... These really help me a lot as I am newbie and noob in Davinci Resolve!
Just began fooling around with Resolve and this was exactly what I was looking for, thanks Bill! I really appreciate you showing examples and how every setting works, in a clear concise matter. What's the saying, All Biller, No Filler? Cheers!
thanks Bill, you did it again. a great, clear and straight forward tutorial with a super simple to use preset and creative ideas for us. You are the man! thank you very much!
I did subscribe. Love the way you showed what you were going to show us up front. Very considerate, wish others would do the same. A few do, but many don’t.
I just found your channel and am absolutely following! Thank you for making quality, assessable effects. I just downloaded the highlighter and while I currently can't afford to make a donation, I'll definitely come back to if I do have the means. Have a nice day!
As always, a fantastic Plugin that just works and feels premium. Use to always do this with Colour generator and animated cropping on the edit page. This is going to save so much time and look so much better. Got to admit Will your plugins are always top notch and the most useful and utilitarian and the ones i use the most on a daily basis. I wish you'd get the recognition you deserve for the work you put into both your plugins and your Videos.
This is great and very useful to me. Thank you very much. I had already succeeded in making highlights using exclusively the Edit tab by employing a solid color overlay and selecting the right Apply Mode. The highlight can be animated using keyframes and fade function. However, your plugin is much more powerful. It's my experience too that highlights on a dark background don't look as good as highlights on a light background, regardless of what Apply Mode you select. Reducing the Blend works, but is not ideal. Keep up the great work!
When I try to adjust the X/Y refraction nothing happens. Anyone else run into this issue? In fact none of the display settings drop down menu options work - maybe a version issue? (18.6.5)
Some of the Resolve guys have really upped their tutorials/macros etc. lately, and this is right up there. Great simple effect that has many real world usages. And packaged ready to use. Your tutorials have always been great, but now when you avoid doing those boring ones, they are really the top ones out there. :)
This is awesome, thank you! Does this highlight effect work on titles? For example, if i have a quote, can i add it to text "titles"? Not sure that makes sense?
Thanks for this William! Always enjoyed your content. Please make a tutorial on how to create the Netflix logo animation if you have time. I can't figure out how to recreate the end of the animation where the logo explodes in a rainbow of colours.
I tried playing with the display settings, they seemed to work for a time but then stopped working since then. any suggestions on what i'm doing wrong btw, thanks for the tool
Hello, i just found this channel Your tutorial is amazing. May i ask how to make Box Highlights Animation for Subtitles in Davinci? Or you need make all of that manual?
Used this on my last edit. Really enjoyed it. The width should be renamed to length IMO. I would also see that we could like do a circle or ellipse to mark an important area. Thank you so much. And also I tried to buy you a coffee for the help you gave the other day, but for some reason, my card won't work, do you have Paypal?
Hey DrHans... Thanks for the comments. Really glad to hear you were able to use it. Will add your suggestions to the upgrade list.. Not sure when i would get to it, but if i am in there messing with it I will see if i can make some of the adjustment. Not sure the payment issue.. but no worries at all, dont need payments. Just glad you are able to use the effects.. Should have more plugins and updates coming soon!
Thanks for sharing this. Been a while, I do hope you are faring well. Thought to check-in. Please know some of us here appreciate what you do, a lot. Thank you for all you do.
Hello Mr. William, I am already a subscriber of your channel. YOu make awesome videos. I am also into video editing and have switched to Davindi resolve recently. I wasted to know if I have a video with titles already prsent, is there any way in which I can remove old titles and put my own titles in its place?
Love these effects! Just a tiny question: is there a way to use them with Right to Left directions? (for highlighting text like Hebrew, Arabic, Thai, etc..)
Hi, thanks for the comments. You can definitely use them Right to Left. All you need to do is go to the effect settings and change the angle to 180. That will move the highlight to go in the Right to Left direction.
Hello William, I have an unusual question that I haven't found an answer to on RU-vid. Can I make a cool text for thumbnail like they do in photoshop? Usually a cool yellow color is usedю. if it is possible, could you share a guide on how to do it?
I wasn't wrong when I said " a completely outstanding tutorial", and I'm glad about it... BTW could you please make a tutorial about audio visualizer in DR, other than the "suckless" plugin 'cause it's not that good, I think you can make something way better...
This seems to be really great but I'm running into what I suspect are some compatability issues (18.1.3 on M1 mac). Its hard to explain but it makes my UI buttons not do anything -- as in, its not frozen but none of my UI does anything, video won't even play but I can scrub through it and click around tabs. Restarting DR fixes it until I make adjustments to the effect in which case I need to restart again. The problem only appears if this effect is active so I am fairly certain this is the issue and not something else. Luckily, the app is free and it seems to be otherwise good so please try it and support William if possible (if I can resolve(!) the issue I certainly will!)
There are may diff ways to do the timing. In this video, I setup an anim curves on the width property (set width to 1) of a rectangle. Then in the modifier, set the scale to the width that you want... add expression to the time scale.. (comp.RenderEnd-comp.RenderStart)/20.... this will set the anim curves to go from 0 to 1 over 20 frames. time scale makes the animation go faster.
