@@christopherchuauhang4829 no it doesn't but its nice to know that someone can admit they were wrong rather than thinking they are Gods Gift to the world despite their flaws
The fact that he's done nothing anywhere since leaving WWE, and is currently a partner/lackey in a midcard comedy gimmick, despite being given a ccouple of big pushes by TNA, means I think we can chalk Sandow up in the "WWE was actually right on that one" column.
David Stephens exactly this casuals think that being over means that ur gonna sell tickets and draw. Brock Lesnar is not over but he draws tickets and ratings. Kofi was over but during his reign smackdowns ratings went down the drain.
Brandon bates That was the final nail in the coffin, Damien Sandow only had that case for a couple of months and WWE could have really done something special with him. He even got cheered at his cameo appearance at Wrestlemania 32
Honorable mentions (or deserved to be on the list): 1. Ec3 2. Eric Young 3. Shelton Benjamin 4. Zack Ryder 5. Curt Hawkins 6. Apollo Crews 7. Cesaro 8. Raul Mendoza 9. Heath Slater 10. Rhyno
No one would like to watch these guys over the wrestlers they are using now. Some of those are talented wrestlers but they won’t sell tickets. Ec3’s the only guy they slept on now.
I gotta say Cesaro is not necessarily slept on. WWE has put him upper mid card numerous times, he's just older, not good on the mic, and honestly not that charismatic. They use him well when they use him
@@Manu-qq2im first of all that was never my point as raven was in his prime while Jeff was still a rookie, my point was that they didn't mind pushing Jeff even when though he was using a lot of drugs. As far as Raven not being on his level i totally disagree, raven was always very talented and could work the best out of what he was given.
She’s so overrated by fans. She didn’t have the it factor like Trish or Lita. Sure, she was skilled, but she didn’t have any appeal. She’s like the female Dean Malenko.
@@s1l3nc3r3 You're right, I can't be a true fan. Congratulations on having a life so empty of incident that you have an encyclopedic knowledge of wrestling gimmicks from nearly 20 years ago. I was busy with marriage, family, illness, loss, drama and all of the things a normal life entails. You can remember what someone said in a wrestling promo that would probably now be old enough to get served in a pub. Well done you!
David Saffels Wow, he doesn't know every phrase uttered by every wrestler, so he can't be a fan. No. That makes you a FANBOY, not a fan, and there's a difference. FANBOYISM should be classed as a fucking mental illness
I’m still so upset about Evan Bourne and Wade Barrett. That Evan Bourne x Sheamus match for the World Championship really should’ve ended with an upset.
Sean O Haire is a great choice for number 1. When I saw him do a swanton then immediately gorilla press someone I had seen nothing like it before. I expected him to have the belt within a year.
Scott Davis i actually do know cause i watch whatculture’s videos that was meant to be a joke so how dumb do you feel? maybe u need to learn a thing or 2
Cor Von: too black Neville: too short Taz: too short Malenko: too short Bourne: too skinny Masters: lost gainz Barrett: got over O'Haire: WCW Cody: son of a WCW icon Hassan: ??? Those are all the reasons Vince needs ....
@@sophieschollsreinkarnation5078 Dean barely had upper midcard potential when he was 20, and at 40 it was way too late. He was a good hand. Nothing more. The 2 Radicals that could become main eventers did.
2 wellnes pollicy violations, one of them when he was tag team champion with Kofi Kingston (remember that?) also (not really his fault) got injured for almost a year, I think with a broken foot.
@@theeverchosen1504 that was burning building or a robbery or something like that. If I remember correctly he smashed the doors with the tree ^ ^ top lad !
You guys remember Jimmy Wang Yang? He was a hell of an athlethe and was cool on wcw. He went to Wwe had a short lived run then basicaly became a jobber.
@@ahmedmaklad6527 he claimed he was underrated when he was getting world titles and main event rivalries left and right. He was the tol heel in the brand he was in for most from 2009 until he left. On the other hand you have guys like Kofi who work their asses of for more than a decade and not a single world title or a main event rivalry. Punk was never underused he was always a self centeren egomaniac who believed he was better than everybody else. He really was a "Punk"
Currently: Cesaro, Apollo Crews, Cedric Alexander, Naomi, EC3, Shelton Benjamin, Drew Gulak, Shorty G, Tamina, etc. In the Past: Elijah Burke, Carlito, Christian, Lance Storm, among many others
5:35 "Remember that weird vampire bloke?" ... The former Mordecai. Oh, I remember. I even remember liking both of those characters, despite not knowing that they were the same wrestler.
@@dodooss1998 I'm going to assume that you didn't watch much of him then because he was a great heel in his partnership/rivalry with cody and in his MITB run, and when wwe ruined him he somehow found a way to get over with the crowd as damien mizdow just to be wasted again by wwe
You're right i didn't. Only seen the bit where he would go out there and keep talking to the crowd about being smarter than them or something before I stopped watching for some years
I think that was before his tag team with cody rhodes right in the beginning of his career so I understand your point. But yeah he was another great talent wasted by wwe
Wrestlers WWE slept on: 1. Sean O'Haire 2. Cody Rhodes 3. Bam Bam Bigelow 4. Drew Mcintyre 5. Matt Hardy 6. Big Van Vader 7. Mark Jindrak (Marco Corleone) 8. Mike Awesome 9. Tazz 10. Damien Sandow 11. Dean Malenko 12. DDP 13. D'lo Brown 14. William Regal 15. Rick Rude
You obviously haven't seen Matt Sydal's matches outside of WWE... Hell in Impact Wrestling he stopped high flying as much and developed Submissions and Technical Wrestling into his arsenal
1. Evan Bourne 2. Dolph Ziggler (there but doing nothing) 3. EC3 4. Neville 5. Keith Lee 6. Eric Young 7. Shelton Benjarmin 8. Rusev 9. Bobby Rhoode (injured but also doing nothing) 10. WWE slept on Evan Bourne? Oh you mean that guy who was really starting to get a push and then he got injured, and then when he got back he kept getting wellness policy violations every five minutes until they fired him for it. Yeah he sounds reliable, lets push him.
Isaiah Hussieun Jeff's first firing from WWE was for no showings some events and refusing to go to rehab. The second time the story has gone back and forth between he got his third strike and they fired him or his contract was up and he wanted to leave. The former is more likely. Though I assure you, what I said about Evan is what happened.
I'm angry that Tyler Breeze didn't make this list. He gets more airtime on UpUpDownDown than on WWE television. The only silverware he has ever picked up with the WWE are the FCW Tag Team Champs with Leaki and the UUDD Championship, which just makes me mad.
Dean malenkos matches in wcw with Eddie, Benoit, Rey.. etc.. are some of the best in wrestling history. I also feel like Mr Kennedy was one of the best heels in years.
Awesome had issues beyond the ring. Plus he hurt his reputation pretty bad when he jumped to WCW while still ECW champ. That’s a bad way to do business. In the end WCW made him look like a fool and no one wanted anything to do with him after that. He burned one too many bridges. He started to repair his reputation at One Night Stand but it wasn’t enough and he was dead not long after.
Great list, I am still angry how the rKo on Bourne didn't get move/moment of the year or whatever that award was called. The biggest name I expected to see was DDP, went from a main event draw to a joke in the first program and never recovered. At least he was given a chance, unlike Chris Hero (Kassius Ohno). Although the name limits him, I think No Way Jose had potential beyond the comedy gimmick. I am glad a few other posters have lamented how Lance Storm was limited as well. The guy who I thought was going to be a much bigger deal was Alex Reilly, but I have a feeling there is a ton to that story.
Totally agree with Sean O'Haire. He had the look, and athleticism. The devil's advocate gimmick was gold and I was so disappointed when it got dropped out of no where. So much potential. So sad that he left us so soon. Then again, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
Sean O’Haire had lots of personal issues. He was an alcoholic and violent. He went to rehab several times. He was arrested multiple times for assault and battery (including several bar fights that he instigated, including one that put him in the hospital with a broken eye socket and skull, and several charges of assault on women). He eventually committed suicide.
Ricochet is currently one of them. Only getting put in squash matches and constantly thrown on the bottom end of the barrel. His work in Lucha Underground clearly shows what he's capable of, not to mention his time in the What Culture scene and his match that got memed to death with him being anime as hell
It's a shame that Mike Awesome didn't make the list. That man was a beast and put together some great matches in ECW. He was never really given a chance. He was a big dude, but he could fly like a cruiserweight. Criminally underrated wrestler.
