The new patch didnt change that much, it more fixed issues and allowed for mods to get achievements.

Thanks for the barbarian explanation! I knew that civ was a factor in stopping them, but I didn't realize you could actually check on the spawn points and regions.

@@LordForwind question about the Bribesystem: the money comes from you leader. Would he earn more if you increase the overall spening on office holders? So basically giving him more money while also making all office holders more happy?

hmm not sure myself but I would imagine so, since the leader counts as an office, you can also grant them holdings which help increase their income. Increasing spending on office holders is really only possible if you are super rich

13:50 yes, and it also removes the barbarian stronghold entirely after a while! So there’s no ambiguity; there will be no more barbs.

Your guides are very explanatory, good job!! I'd like to ask if you can explain the various governments that IR has. Basically, I'm having trouble understanding how to gain senate support in republics. You literally can do nothing if it goes below 30.

I probably will do that soon, to help in the meantime use the first office in the government office page to promote or oppose certain parties and then fulfill their agendas which you can find there. Also dont be afraid of incurring tyranny be opposing the senate at times.

I played this game for hours before I figured out there were other innovation trees and you had to use the middle mouse wheel to go around in there...I think it was trying to find the tech for the theatre that finally got me to waste time to find it.

4:50 to be fair it's really weird to use the middle button to move around. I've played a lot of strategy games and this is the first time that i had to use that button.

What's your fleet composition to let them hunt pirates and grow to 150 ships? I tried with 15 ships with rome but 10 years later they haven't captured a single one

once i get to the point of having less than 20% of my nation being roman, i get massive revolts because the main culture of the provinces is not of the integrated cultures. then my stab gos down and i get a negative feedback loop. you really need to assimilate provinces before expanding to big, integrating to many cultures brings happiness down thus research, i found building a Theatre in every city and ports for migration along with governing focus set to assimilate makes assimilation go so fast.

If that is an issue go for the innovations that integrate population, most of them are under the religious innovations, also check your AE. I found no issue with revolts when I conquered all of Gaul and Iberia in 60 or so years, but I had all the AE, loyalty and conversion innovations. I also did build theaters everywhere like you did. I recommend trying to convert the religion first then culture. Or you just integrate them like you said.

Try that. It makes a big difference especially if you are Rome or some other massive nation, stability matters more than military innovations. Obvious get legions asap and then again when you hit 500 province, but before that it usually doesnt make a big difference unless you are doing successor wars!
