I find niche fragrances so much more interesting and appealing. Christian Petrovic has something great going on with Argos. Great fragrances! I love Amouage! Very unique! Thanks for the great insightful videos Justin.
Another great video, I've had Moss+ for a while its nice to see it getting shown some love lol. Wanted to try sphinx but I'm outside the US so the shipping is pretty much the same price as the discovery set.
Love Fico di Amalfi! I originally got it for myself, then my wife tried it. It’s absolutely stunning on her. The the same thing happened with Mojave Ghost. Those are all hers now!
There are so many that you could include in a list such as this. As you recently noted, Parfums de Nicolai have 30ml bottles selling under $100. There's Carner Barcelona also, which can be obtained from discounters at a great price. Nobile 1942 as well. Can't wait to see what you'll include in your next list.
This is a great video idea, this would cool to see more of in the near future!! My picks for $140 and less would be: Confluence - Chatillon Luxe When In Puerto Rico - Genre Parfums Rivera Lazuli - Atelier des Ors Soleil d’Italie - Mancera Licorice Woods - Amouroud Siene - Tiziana Terenzi Santal Auster - Maher Olfactive
I picked up a unopened 50ml bottle of Aqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza for $35 CAN at a surplus store... crazy good deal... they also had an unopened 100ml bottle of TF Lost Cherry for $350 CAN... I should have pulled the trigger on that 😢
I was almost disappointed thinking you didn't include Essential Parfums! Lol. Such a great house and really great value for money! All the perfumes I've tried from them by far (Bois Imperial, Fig Infusion, & Divine Vanille) lasts beyond 10-12hrs on me!
8:06 im currently wearing bois imperial. i love it bruh. edit : thank you for this video. its just what i need. ive been trying to get into niche but im a student. i dont have "200€ for a fragrance" money.
Aqua di parma di almalfi is a great fragrance love the brand very classy not over the top fragrance subtle.it’s a 4 hour fragrance but I always carry a small atomiser to keep me topped up.
Great informative video ! Great topic and unlike any I have seen . Have you ever tried Aqua di Parma Colonial Pura ? Have heard some great things from other reviewers . Thanks !
Watching this video a year late but if you haven't yet tried Colonia Pura, I personally love it. I tried it alongside Colonia and Colonia Intensa and Pura was the winner for me. Very refreshing and uplifting, and the performance is pretty great for me. It projects nicely, is inoffensive as it's clean but with a distinct, pleasant character, and it lasts well too (especially for an EdC). My favourite of the 3 Colonias I've tried by a long shot.
New subsciber and new to niche fragrances! My girlfriend got a sample of Gold by Commodity and loved it so we got the full sample set. Long story short, Moss+, Velvet+, and Gold+ are fantastic!
Justin thanks for giving us the chance to get to know niche fragrances at low price! Normal wise I don’t buy fragrances blindly but this time I did and I was not disappointed! I bought Bois Imperial from Essential Parfums and Fico Dd Amalfi from Aqua di Parma ! Both fragrances are great but you cannot compare both! So if someone is thinking about buying these fragrances you won’t be disappointed! Amazing quality for less price!! But I don’t want to encourage no one to buy if thoughts are there the fragrances are great especially Bois Imperial !
Glad you included DJ Vetiver! I tend to wear DJ Interdit Absente more...I enjoy the strong spicy pepper note that tends to overshadow the fruity/leafy green body of the fragrance.
Affordable niche is my thing as i i'm a little burnt out on designer fragrances and i refuse to spend more then 200 bucks on a fragrance. Seeing as i live in Europe i might be able to give some new recommendations as there are other things available here. Le Couvent had some amazing fragrances by Jean Claude Elena. SG79's biggest bottles are 30 ml making it affordable to try their fragrances. Fugazzi is a little more expensive but the lasting power makes up for it. If you have to spray your fragrances only 3 times to last all day you won't run through your bottle anytime soon. That's why Montale is also an affordable option that if you do the math will probably be a lot cheaper then most designers.
i never see any youtuber review this brand of niche fragrances called jaques fath in my opinion their best one is green water. I dont know if nobody knows about it but my grandfather showed me about it a couple years ago and green water is definitly in my top 3 favorite fragrances
What a great list! For quite some time now I'm done with so called high end niche fragrances, there's so much epigonal stuff going on there. I don't know if my knowledge is really representative, but my impression is that mostly the very luxurious brands have the tendency to copy and upscale the DNA of popular desiner scents. I see this less in this mid price section. But even if it happens from time to time it's okay, when the price point doesn't show off too much. In other words, if a fragrance like Daniel Josie's Vetiver reminds a bit of Terre d'Hermes it's more acceptable than if something in the price range of Isola Blu does it.
Essential Parfums is a brand that has niche quality scents for reasonable prices. Bois Imperial is my favorite but i think ill be adding Divine Vanille or Nice Bergamote soon :)
Love the brand - Mon Vetiver is my personal favourite, and Orange x Santal is gorgeous as well. Amazing quality stuff from the whole line - I’m not anti-synthetics at all but man, you really can smell the difference with such high quality naturals used in such high percentages... 🤤 Performance is obviously a little light on a few of the scents (due to the sparce use of synthetics) which won’t be for everyone... but I think the naturalness of smell is worth the trade-off myself.
@@SirSillageSniffington those are interesting indeed. If i wasnt targetting Lunar Vetiver and Mandarino (Laboratorio Olfattivo) id get Mon Vetiver and Orange X Santal. Really an amazing yet affordable brand
White Hinoki from Amouroud is my favorite, and imho, the most unique of their white line. Nothing out there like it, and such a beautiful spring/ summer scent.
I've got 2 from the house of Daniel Josier..... I've got Ambre Tabac which is like a smoother PDM Oajan and Under the Figtree which is a chill relaxing casual fig fragrance
My nose is broken ..i don’t know how people pick out notes..I can’t pick out notes or distinguish one from the other while smelling my fragrance .. but I will look up note breakdowns and notices theirs certain ones I like . Anyone have any tips that helped them discern from certain notes
All I’m saying is people say niche is more creative and has more depth than designer but ost of them just smell feminine leaning floral scents or something idk 😂
I’ve been sampling decants of niche and testing designers in stores. To me designers all have a similar smell to them. To me they all smell somewhat alike, with that weird alcohol smell. Besides Profumo, that’s my love
