A bit dizzy watching the photo display. Can you please display with less motion? I found it harder to see what was in the photo and it made me feel dizzy. Otherwise all the content was wonderful and I’m thinking I must go to Slovenia after your high recommendation. Thank you.
Yes, one of my all time favorite times to travel. Northern Europe is also an all time favorite. I need to make it to Slovenia next time, came very close the last time I was in the area. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for this wonderful inspiration! Sweater weather is my favorite time of the year. Would you consider making twelve different videos for best places to visit each month of the year?
Nice to see your suggestions for cooler weather destinations. I've been to most of the places on your list, but I went to them during their warmer times. I might need to pay them a visit again off-season! I agree with you, John, about Ljubljana. Was recently there and loved it (and Lake Bled as well). Thanks for sharing!
We have been to most of these places and travel mostly in the Spring and Fall (except for Ireland and Norway where we went in July). A week spent in Slovenia in May a few years ago was certainly a highlight of our travels. I was in Washington DC MANY years ago in April and was fortunate enough to be there when the cherry trees were in bloom and have never forgotten it!
Nice job showing your sweater adventures during times when you don’t want to be in Mexico during July. Which we have done, but still have enjoyed. From your video I now want to visit Norway, Vienna and Slovenia in shoulder season and not high season. To miss some of the crowds and expense. Blessings
Great ideas in the video. I'm usually a summer traveler but learning to enjoy the cooler seasons also. Agree that Ljubljana is one of the best destinations ever. Used to travel there for work and got to know the country and its people. Valetta was wonderful and I hope to go back someday. Hoping to get to Norway in 2025. The list never gets shorter!
When we grow up, we want to be just like you!! We’re based in San Miguel de Allende, and you’ve inspired us to start our very own slow travel and expat living channel!! We would love your feedback. We already follow you on our personal channels, but we will also follow you here! Hope to see you on the road someday!!
Very timely given our Fall weather! Slovenia looks amazing and we look forward to rowing across the lake to the church. How cool to visit the coffee house where Mozart and Beethoven performed!! When in London we visited The Eagle and Child where C.S. Lewis and Tolkien would meet to discuss their writing.
70-year-old healthy couple here. We want to get away from the cold New England weather in January, February, & March, following the snowbirds to Florida. Any recommendations would be appreciated
I lived in DC for over 30 years. The cherry blossoms there usually bloom sometime in late March to early April. When they bloomed in mid April, it was the latest they had bloomed in years.
Me and wife spent 5 days in Salzburg last September, more enough things to keep you busy for a week. We did rent bikes and went to Hallien for the day. It was really nice bike ride along the Salzach river. If you do go I highly recommend getting the Salzburg Pass which offer discounts to countless activities. If can coordinate your trip during St. Ruberts Festival in (usually) in mid September you will not be disappointed. Happy Travels
We always traveled to Europe in the fall. Smaller or no crowds, great weather: cool not cold temps, little chance of being rained on. Shoulder season pricing. It was great. 👍
