Game Dev Tycoon but no Software Inc? It probably fits better on this list being more comprehensive and thorough in the process of owning a software/ developmental company

They are all very good games. I played a lot of hours of Banished, This is the Police, Democracy 3 (Africa) and Planetbase. Played a bit of Cities Skylines and Offworld Trading Company. Never played Factorio and Rimworld (they seem overwhelming), neither Game Dev Tycoon nor Tropico 5 (I played some Tropico game years ago). Played Transport Tycoon a long time ago. Zeus: Master of Olympus was a great city management game with a mythological twist. One of Sierra’s best.

I can recommend Banished... I had hours of fun with that one already.......... I have watched an other you tuber play "Life is Feudal" and this new game, "Ostriv".. Though, I do not own the last two games, they look amazing and both need a lot of managing

Rimworld is a MUST BUY. Its 10/10 warcrime simulator, pure hardcore micromanagement horror, for the type to actually feel like the ruler of the walking dead

Prison Architect is honestly the best. You have nearly endless possibilities and can always find something to do. Spend hours every day on it once, very recommended.

Ive sunk over 600 hours into rimworld. Its the best early access purchase ive made. Amazing game with fantastic mods, keeping it always fresh :)

Surviving mars is a game you need to manage alot maybey not as much on the list but its still alot of management

Planetary Annihilation: TITANS is a pretty good game. I personally have only put around 50 hours into the game, but some of my friends really like it.

In my opninion mad games tycoon is a better management simulation game. you also need to make games but i think it is way more indepth, you can do so much more and i put in quite alot of hours!

Software Inc deserves a mention imo

The Movies was such a awesome game developed by Lionhead Studios which didn't got much attention and has very few active players. It was a game in which you can create your own movies !!! Yes with hundreds of sets, costumes, stunts, scenes, special effects, etc etc etc. I have a movie on my channel which I made with it, you should check it out...

Already played most games on this list :( My favorite is Factorio for sure though!

Another great series is the X games. X 1-3 plus all the expansions can be bought on Steam in the X Super Box and X Rebirth is the last one is great now they finally got it working. It's a first person space fighting game with a lot of economic empire building. You can make huge space station that produce good and manage supply chaines while buying.giant cargo ships, capital destroyers, fighters. In X3 you can pilot any ship in the game from the smallest fighter to the biggest capital ship, in Rebirth you can only pilot the one but you can board you cap ship and walk around on the space station and interract with NPCs and hire the to work on your stations.

Is is just me who thinks that Casino Inc was the best managment game since then to ever be put out, I mean you had everything there, from bouncers to beat the shit out of people, to cheaters. That game was ahead of its time and still is..

Open ttd and game dev on the list but no dwarf fortress?? Makes no sense to ignore one of the greatest management games and put some obscure titles with short youtube fame.

Tropico 4 is far superior to 5 in many ways in my opinion.

Anno 1404 is a great game and all but be warned it is unlikely you'll be able to run the steam version due to the game bein a pain in the a** to adapt to newer operating system.

Oxygen not included. Really good about survival on an asteroid. U manage oxygen water food and everything you need to survive to colonize an uninhabitable place
