Great stuff Geekism. I also agree with you, when combat is integrated into the city-building games it definitely detracts from the creativity and it is usually weak. I will definitely be playing Ancient Cities and Foundation for sure. I had never heard of Buiders of Egypt and that sounds phenomenal as well.
It’s a nice idea to have a game challenge The Sims but I’ll be honest with you, I think it will look and play like Second Lives or like other weird mobile games or like those weird games you get in ads in pirate bay
Ostriv development was dormant for quite a while. However, in the last couple months, the dev has been very active, adding new features and squashing bugs. Well worth revisiting. It's Alpha 3+ now.
Pretty much almost all of them lol I'm looking forward to. Paralives looks to break The Sims franchise and give it some competition. Watching it closely. Im soooo looking forward to Hotel Magnate.
Nice, you reminded me of Evil Genius 2 which I've added to my steam wishlist, loved the first one. I'd never heard of Builders of Egypt so I've added that one to my wishlist too. I'm also looking forward to the next settlers game. I've found the earlier settlers to be hit or miss but I think this one will be a hit.
I remember Ostriv! Obviously a rather short series, but I loved it. Just like Foundation. That one was very relaxing to watch. I am looking forward to another series on the full release!
It's good to stick to your principles, so I applaud you for that, but neither Epic nor the developers care about it. Especially given that the studio doesn't have to worry about the game not making any money.
thanks for the coming soon games videos Looking forward to Hotel Magnate i would like to see like a uk holiday camp/caravan design game just wish i have more free time to play games lol
Hotel Magnate looks great, and Evil Genius 2 looks loads of fun! Enjoyed this little round-up, can't wait to see these on the channel later in the year (hopefully!)
I really hope more devs dive into really complex city(nation) builders like workers and resources. I like tycoon/city builder/business management games that are really complex....the more complex the game, the more I like it, something about struggling to play a game is alot of fun lol
great video! I am absolutly looking forward to Builders of Egypt, I am a fan of the ancient Egypt for many years so I love games about it plus a building game: perfect. also looking forward to Evil genius 2 and Foundation is a game I am thnking of buying on steam for some time now, maybe I should watch some videos to convince me :)
So excited for Paralives, after years of building in Sims i long for a new game. I just hope that in terms of building you can change literally anything, all i do in Sims is building and in many ways the game doesn't let me express my creativity all the way because of game restrictions. I'd be great to change windows to whatever size you want for example :)
Had the original The Settlers on my Amiga and adored it. Really looking forward to it along with the full release of Foundation. Those are the two I've got my eye on. I've been very tempted to buy the early release version of Foundation but resisted until its closer to full release.
Do you guys have any games or programs (pc or console) that you guys would recommend where one could build a house with vast detail and full control. As well as being able to explore the creation in 1st pov.
One thing I always want in medieval city building - are more threats and kingdoms to conquer - that's always a problem with fantasy medieval city builders it feels less threatening and less province to rule. It sucks in my opinion.
I'm very excited for Paralives! But I'd also be surprised if we could play any of it this year. I'll be impatiently waiting! 😄 Another one I'm really looking forward to is Foundation!
Was playing Settlersonline. Since my laptop crashed have only smart phone. Found Design City totally building a city no combat. They have a DS 2 which is different enough to be like a new game then a Space one great graphics and buildings there. Also playing Simcity buildit, saddly they gave in and have wars also a crazy DR. That destroys your own island. Lucky those are by choice.
Each time I see Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, I think Tropico. Although I've been told the prices of goods are adjusted by supply and demand in W&R, and I find that fairly small difference to be very interesting.
I strongly recommend Workers and Resources comrades, really ambitious game and way more realistic than a Cities SKylines (way more optimized as well, especially for a one-man-made game). You will have a lot of fun and vodka themes with this jewel ! Huge respect for the guy who made it.£ You can buy it eyes closed, it's worth every ruble spent :D
OMG evil Genius 2??? Have I been living under a rock? Was I plotting miniaturising the Eiffel tower to use as a paperweight on my desk when this was announced? Where TF was I?
That soviet game looks cool but they messed up. Those fat stacks that most of us associate with nuclear power plants are not flue gas exhaust stacks. They are actually cooling towers and should only have steam leaving the top.
I'm really wanting a Mobile Carrier tycoon game. Have a communications or ISP company, work up from regular phone lines all the way through 5G service. I saw someone was working on one, but they disappeared, sadly. :(
Im super excited for Kerbal 2 but now im ready to be an egyption and run a robot factory. For now you reminded me I own Ostriv and hadn't ever tried it. /tiphat
I hope there will be a Mac version of Foundation. Looks like a very nice game. Unfortunately I have a Mac and it's only for Windows thus far as I see on Steam.
Worried about Settlers as it’s gone completely quiet. It was originally supposed to come out late 2019, now it’s just ‘2020’ and with corona, I hope it doesn’t get scrapped, as there’s but nothing on it for a good while now.
Agree with it all. Paralives is going to be amazing! IDK if it was on purpose but you forgot Cities Skylines 2! :P just kidding. maybe... but you did forget the Universim which is going to be great!
I can't lie. The best part of the video was Xander at the end. :) And tbh, Planet Zoo ruined me. Seems like I can only play games anymore that are visually pleasing and none of them are for me. But well, I have not enough free time for another game anyway.
Can we talk about how Ancient Cities has successfully scammed thousands of people into crowdfunding their game? They have not posted a single update regarding the game which was to be released years ago since they made those beautiful trailers
I hadn't heard of Good Company. It sounds perfect for me. I really want Evil Genius 2 to be as good as I hope it is. That game deserves a really good sequel.
