It would work if they would remove the words. Seeing that the words are upside down your brain assumes the glass/metal is upside down too. Thus the sky is on top and the grass is on bottom.

I love optical illusions, and Rhett and Link both seemed to be in great moods today. They said so many humorous things and did funny gestures, like when Rhett said you could go to that cafe anytime in your mind, and then he looked sideways at the camera while drinking his coffee. Awesome episode!

To me it looks..I'd say..mostly like (really shiny)metal, maybe because it looks like a lump (to me). But yeah it does look the same either way.

I can see that. To me it does look like a lump of metal, but not naturally, more like if someone has shaped it as a form of art. I think I was also thinking in the direction of quicksilver because of the Terminator thing.

The 3rd illusion, when flipped upside down still didn't take on the false apprearance of glass to me. It's because of the concept of knowing what liquid metal looks like. That one was interesting, but the first one. After looking at his sunglasses, ya that picture turned gray. Which was really odd, like it had no color.

The number 1 illusion reminds me of those illusion books we used to have as kids that had pages of static art on them and you had to hold the book up and focus really hard on the page and then move it closer to your face and then an image would pop out at you. It always felt like you pretty much had to go cross eyed to see the image but once you saw it, it was always something really cool to look at.

Many people would call the other things "perspective art" when I think of a optical illusion I generally think about the images that change color or look like its moving or moving in different direction no matter what direction you look at it, I.E. the black and white with blue lines, the windmill one, and the picture with the colors. I know all of these things are considered "optical illusions" but I feel like a true illusion can trick what the brain and eyes interpret as to what is true from no matter what angle you look at it. That's why I think some of theses should be just considered a matter of perspective as opposed to a true illusion.

The first illusion I don't think it was real. I stared at the dude's sunglasses for about 10 seconds and everything turned grey. But when I pause the video when they first show the picture, nothing turned grey, next I looked around the picture and not the sunglasses but the picture still turned grey. So what I think is that they edited the picture to turn grey to make us think that that illusion actually is real. This is just my opinion. :3

I can assure you it did not turn gray for me. And looking at it back without viewing the first picture it was definitely the desaturated image they showed later.

He's way more energetic than he ever has been. Going way over the top, talking a huge amount. That's usually what happens when you start feeling good after not feeling well for a while. Out of experience I'd say that the chemicals in his brain are balanced again due to medicatin. Since I use that sort of medication myself and he's just feeling really happy since a long time. Or he might just be bipolar. Not sure, I'm not a psychologist. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's happy. But if he keeps talking over Rhett and derailing subjects it kind of gets on my nerves.

orrrrrrrr he's just in a good mood? don't assume people are on medications when you don't have proof either way. he's normally pretty chipper so i honestly don't see where you're coming from. the only time he gets salty is when he loses the dart games. don't make claims that you can't back up & could potentially hurt someone's reputation.
