Most RC cars from all the big manufactures, HPI, Associated, Losi, Axial, Etc., are either fully made is China or have a lot of the parts made there. Traxxas is mostly made in Taiwan however. That being said, the quality of cars in those price points is about the same. The issue is parts support. A lot of these small name companies have parts that are hard to get when you break something.

Buy wltoys l979, as i did 2 years ago. Its top speed is 40 km/h. Its seriously INDESTRUCTIBLE, fits standard parts and is comletely deconstructible so you can repair any part of it. There are also all spare parts buyable WORDWIDE ! With upgraded shocks and battery it can compare itself with xpensive rc cars. Igot it for 70€.

Yeah I like the WLToys stuff for general bashing. Sure they're not going to win any real races, but I also don;t have to worry about breaking anything, or being out several hundred dollars after smashing into a wall at 100mph. They're just good cheap fun. Me and my son both have WLToys cars, and take then to skate park and seriously beat the crap out of them. We won;t do that with our TA and Traxxas stuff.

For those of you who don't know, Traxxas was considered like one of these company's in the 80's! Nothing wrong with a kid or adult liking these toys. When they get serious they will get a Team Associated, Tamiya, Kyosho, Losi, Hpi, etc.

I just bought the number 1 RC and they are great. The battery takes a couple of hours to charge and 15 minutes to empty. They are alot of fun and my dog likes running after them.

It says cheapest Chinese rc car. Not hobby grade, take it to your local track and beat the guy who's dropped 1500 on his kit. I dont know why everyone is so defensive...The videos are actually kinda cool though.
