Yeah nice to diversify things on videos especially if you enjoy doing,I think a lot of people appreciate this,just want to know do you have the kitten fur elixir formulation locked away? If another house gets, that'll be their best seller and crush most smaller houses lol! Locked up like KFC has their seasoning for their chicken ticked away? If you know you know? Who knows what? Anyway happy new year Nate!

Thank you so much for taking your time to make this video. I really started getting into fragrances last year. It really came out of nowhere. This is something I would like to do some day. Make my own fragrance. 😊 Many Blessing Nate.

Very interesting! Would love a guide on how to recreate a Dior Homme 2020 / Burberry Hero EDT style fragrance. Love this DNA but no clones are to be found.

Great suggestion! I'll see what I can do. I'm not super knowledgeable in reconstruction of a fragrance. But I would love to try this!

Loved the video Nick, will be watching again! The business student in me has a disagreement but I absolutely love and support your list of materials a beginner should have to create something they can enjoy! My disagreement is with the quantity recommendations. I agree a beginner should purchase a larger quantity of your suggested materials, eventually. However, maybe not 500g at the start of learning, because they don’t know if making perfume is worth their time yet. 4 - 15 grams or milliliters (mL) works just fine. You get a bit of exposure to each material, and (because you will be diluting most of your materials to 10% in alcohol or Dipropyle glycol) you save some money 💵.

@ParagonFragrances 6 месяцев назад
You're right. 500g is a lot I would only suggest that for iso e super and hedione it just kind of makes sense cost wise and for how much you're going to use it. Honestly, I think 50g would be fine for starting out. Till you find out if it's worth pursuing. Very good fair point.

@@ParagonFragrancesSo glad to hear from you! I can see where you’re coming from, and you are absolutely correct that when you consider how much you will be using it does seem to make more sense to just buy a higher quality. However, that is if you are using the materials in an undiluted form. I guess what I am trying to convey is that you should try using Hedione and those other common materials in a diluted form when creating too even if it is 10 or 20%. At least when you are starting out because it allows you to learn your materials by smelling the nuances of the material. Even better, it saves you a bit of money in the long run. I guess this is less of a disagreement and more a money saving tip if you’ll be making perfume for a while. Regardless, please keep this content coming because it is needed!

@@letsgetitgaming3812 Yes, I totally agree with you. I think for some of the cheaper materials like isoe super and hedione using those neat is not a terrible option because they are so cheap. But yes, some of the more finer materials are a lot more expensive and using them neat can be a little daunting. Dilutions can be scary to the extremely new beginner. Someone who just wants to get the ball rolling right away. I think it's beneficial for them just to work with neat materials and just go at it. Then once they understand that it's about balancing in the importance of dilutions then pull back and start diluting some stuff down. It's a costly hobby for sure. I think I'm going to make a video about the costs of it and give some advice on that initial starting point because it could be a little daunting with the amount of investment. Everyone is at a different stage of their journey and making videos is hard talking to everyone. Someone gets left out and of course I'm always learning. Always trying to get better. But I totally agree with you on everything you said.

@@ParagonFragrances This is why I love and your channel man! I had not fully considered that perspective or your approach before commenting. I appreciate that you plan on discussing how costs impacts your art and look forward to it. BTW I’m sorry because I think my miscommunication earlier messed up my meaning.
