Mongolia is the best... It was so unique with them in the same car and easily the most beautiful environment ever. I feel more grand tour specials belong here as well edit: Just watched madagascar, i liked it but the fact that a lot of it was on one continuous narrow road made it a lot like the Feed The World special of GT, a little monotonous
For me it would be 10. Patagonia special 9. Africa special 8. India special 7. Burma special 6. USA special 5. North Pole special 4. Botswana special 3. Mongolia special then I can't decide between the Bolivia and Vietnam special so I'll put them as joint #1st. The peak of Top Gear 👌 Honourable mentions: Seamen, Scandi-Flick, Namibia and Middle East special
5:30 I think this was my first Top Gear special. 7:19 My two favourite comedy lines of that special both come from Jeremy with "Hammond, you idiot! You've reversed into the Sports Lorry!" and "Hello horse, I shall call you Tesco."
The specials have always been awesome and the trio inspire Me to start My own show Double Clutch. Which I'm trying to think of doing a 5 episode's with 1 hour specials or 7 episode's with reviews, laps times, people doing lap time in a Toyota gt86 and challenges. My favorite special is between patagonia or Burma but Me and friends will be watching Gold Finger after the pandemic.
I can't really say too much on this one seeing as I never really watched The Grand Tour. The one thing that I would say is that the trip to Romania in search of the Transfargarsan Highway was one of the best ever episodes of Top Gear.
That list is great and i agree agree with it mostly.... Its a bold move but id give vietnams 1st place spot to Patagonia. I know its not a very populare special but i just lived it so much cause of the banter, the scenery, the cars and how much i felt emersed in it wishing i was there. There was also the controversiy at the end which felt exciting but overall my favorite one, i love that one
Personally I would say all the specials are great in their own right, not really a “bad one” out there.. but for me, Colombia is the most fun cuz I love animals. Africa (Nile) has the best story line/quest, and Bolivia is definitely the most intense one at the death road and on the volcano. I also really enjoy the Mongolia special cuz they work together (and build the car from scratch) and seamen is the most unique one cuz they’re on boat. Honestly they only one I don’t really rewatch often is the india and america special, all others are incredible imo
I think the Polar Special is far better than you give it credit for. In my opinion the Polar Special is an easy top five. I'm also surprised Seaman didn't make the list, I thought it was fantastic
That’s a great episode! It’s a funny one as it doesn’t get classed a special as they still had the usual car review and Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment. But totally agree, it’s a really funny episode. Thanks for watching! 😀
Didn’t make the list for us I’m afraid! It’s only really remembered for all the number plate controversy which I don’t think is enough to deprive one on our list. The actual trip itself wasn’t very memorable IMO. Would be interested to see if it had all gone to plan, where it would figure in? What’s your thoughts? Thanks for commenting 😀
Ah ok that’s interesting! Thanks for commenting. Which would you say is your favourite? For me, the best specials weren’t really ‘specials’ like the RV trip in Las Vegas!
@@byllynalle7660 it was cool but part 1 of the Namibia special was really boring with Jeremy misleading the team, all they did was go along the beach, part 2 was when it got interesting, they shouldve done a better job for the first half of the episode, i liked the Colombia special and Mozambique special more
