Personally I like when Triple H, just to be funny, asks CM Punk "How's your movie deal going?" And Punk replies "Oh mine went straight to DVD like your's did." Now THAT'S a damn.
Or any of KO insults towards Byron and Cole god I love when he's on commentary. Yet my favorite Insult that happened in the last year was KO in NXT he was cutting a promo on Hideo who was in the ring and Owens ended up stumbling over a line the fans started giving him shit and then KO says "Man I Sound like Hideo trying to speak English"
Chris Jericho: How old are you Stephanie Stephanie: 26 Jericho: I asked for your age, not how many men you were with last Saturday. This was a legit backstage segment in 2002 and will always be my faveorite insult ever.
Triple H: Stephanie is very sensitive, she’s like a little flower. Chris Jericho: Flower? I ‘d have to say that little stephie-baby lost her flower a long time ago.
"The only reason you were champion for a year is because Triple H didn't wanna work Tuesdays!" - Paul Heyman to JBL ^I don't remember that, but that really raised my eye brows more than anything else on the list, LOL
"I could have everyone buy my merchandise, and join my plastic girlfriend in my castle... and hide my fear with laughter. But, that's you, man..." - Bray Wyatt to John Cena
+Scarlett Bandit It had to do something with Hulk Hogan and John Cena being in the ring together when Bray Wyatt was in the titantron, cutting that promo.
I think I huge one that was left out is when The Undertaker said to the crowd "say what if you sleep with your sister" that was just typical Undertaker being a badass.
I saw it on a youtube clip.. I don't remember what I searched... probably ended up clicking on it from the sidebar. anywho... it was pretty friggin great
no, the genius of it is that it ties in with possibly the greatest chant of all time, that created by the inimitable Stone Cold and which is still going strong some 20 years later...so one of the greatest wrestlers of all time insulting a crowd using their affinity of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time -- sheer magic...
It's a shame the Billy Kidman insult on Hogan, isn't on here: "Hogan, the reason you're so tan, is because you can't seem to get out of the spotlight!" (Nitro, April/May'ish 2000)
That was on the April 10th 2000 episode of Monday Nitro. Another amazing line by Billy Kidman in that promo: "Maybe I can't draw flies, but who would know more about drawing flies than a pile of shit like you."
Kevin Owens from the ring to Michael Cole at commentary: "SHUT UP COLE, I CAN HEAR YOU FROM HERE!", I laughed way harder than I should have at this. I just found it savage because he was in the ring, not often they acknowledge the commentary when they are in the ring...
one of Punk's best insults to HHH while slapping him with his own tie: You gonna beat me up? You gonna fight me? You gonna punch me in the face? Or do you need to go ask your wife first?
The man Ric Flair: "I am not sure I can take you Nash," small pause and turn, " I am not even sure I can take you Hall," dramatic turn and emphatic Ric head and hair bounce, "I am damn sure I can take you, (point at x-pac) as a matter of fact, I have had more world championships than you've had pieces of ass." .........Oh yes he did.
Biff Shmangles X-pac said to Y2J "You beat nothing last night 'til you got back to your hotel room." I'm not sure he actually said that to his face or was just cutting a promo. I do remember Gene Okerlund was there and said something like "You can't say that on television," to which X-pac replied "what did I say?"
"The Rock and the Rattlesnake haven't always seen eye to eye. But there is one thing we could both always agree on: Triple H, you're the biggest A**hole walking gods great earth!" - The Rock, after Lindas announcement. And by far the best delivery of them all. HHH's reaction after this really made you feel they hate each other in Reallife.
Lawler to Goldust circa 1997: (on Rhodes' 4 year old daughter Dakota) "You should've named her target, cuz everyone in the state of Texas got a shot at her."
"You're a dynasty, you are what you hate. You have become the New York Yankees" - CM Punk Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
EpicXskillzHD you sure i believe it was jericho that said it to him back in 2008 during their build up to their match at armageddon afterwards cena put jericho in the stfu (as it was known at the time) and left him out cold in the middle of the ring
"The only reason you were world champion for a year is because Triple H didn't want to work Tuesdays!" -Paul Heyman to JBL at ECW One Night Stand (2006) #BestWrestlingInsultEver
The one I remember is to the fan. Ravishing Rick Rude would always tell the crowd to quiet down , so he could take of his robe. Usually with insults of inner city sweathogs etc. But there is one time during his time in WCW facing the out of shape Mark Mercedes that he went to the announcer to do his usual schtick , but instead had the announcer say " Ravishing Rick Rude would like you all to know that you are not worth wasting his breath on." God how I miss the Ravishing One.
“When it comes to Hollywood you will never be as good as The Rock, and when it comes to this ring, you will never be as good as AJ Styles” -Aj Styles to John Cena
I always found John Cenas insults to Lita hilarious like when she said "screw you" and he responded " I don't have ten bucks" or when Melina came out when Cena was trash talking Umaga and the first words he said to her were "Umaga you look very very different"
I think you could have made this entire list Scott Steiner inadvertedly insulting himself. Love his triple threat with Angle and cant remember the 3rd guy math promo in TNA, and when he angrily coiled up and unleashed "he's fat!!!" about Samoa Joe. So dumb he's hilarious. His WCW stuff was unintentionally comedic gold.
She learned from "The Best in the World" C.M. Punk. I chuckled when she said that her Converse were worth more than the rest of the women's closet full of high heels
How nice to see the pathetic, delusional A.J. fans are still out in full force. Where's your precious A.J. now? Oh yeah she quit because she wasn't happy with the amount of money she was making, despite the fact that she made more money than just about any other woman on the roster.
. . . As for our opponents, the Ascension? There's a million and one things I can think to say about you. But the absolute worst thing that I can think of to say - is that you're the Ascension and that's that, you know, how you doin' . . . RIP most dominant tag team in NXT history
This is so stupid...... People act like the Rock is this evil career killing bastard who destroys the credibility of wrestlers with a couple of clever promos. If the credibility of a wrestler is so fragile that it can't survive a cutting promo from another wrestler, then the wrestler with the destroyed credibility never had any real credibility to begin with. Billy Gunn lacked credibility because he only won the King of the Ring because.... 1. His quartefinals opponent Ken Shamrock who would've normally beaten him senseless was badly crippled by Steve Blackman shortly before their match which allowed Billy Gunn to beat him by referee's decision. 2. His semifinals opponent Kane was cost the match by the Big Show who was angry at Kane for beating him in the quarterfinals. Therefore, Billy Gunn was regarded as an illegitimate King of the Ring winner much like Mabel was so naturally, he lacked credibility. The WWF screwed up Billy's push even BEFORE the Rock's scathing promo.....
It was the rock's job to cut scathing promos. People act like the rock buried a shit ton of people with those. Unfortunately, the only thing that can kill a wrestler's push is his booking. On a side note, the rock cut scathing promos at taker, show, austin and triple h. That didn't seem to affect their push.
The Rock's the GOAT of trash talking. I remember his burn to Stephanie at the Raw 10th Anniversary: "The Rock said blow out the candles, NOT the birthday boy!" xD
These were all pretty solid, but I honestly think the AJ Lee burn should've been way higher on this list because of how real it was. The Bellas are straight garbage and always have been. It's so much more obvious now that the women's division has so much talent now. So the simple fact that Nikki is the longest reigning Women's Champ ever proves that her relationship with Cena is directly linked to her success.
+TwistedDoll09 No. Actually even CM Punk said himself they treated her fairly after his podcast with Colt Cabana. But with the lawsuit against the WWE Doctor she knew it was time to leave.
David L Watch his interview in his home with Ariel Helwani. AJ is at home for that one and it took place after she had left and after the Cabana Podcast.
+TwistedDoll09 I'll listen but CM Punk seems like he embellishes and adds stuff to his stories to make them sound more sensational. He was very talented, but he suffered from Brett Hart syndrome. Where you take yourself a little to serious and think your much better then you really are.
...huh. The #1 pick on this list was the first thing that came to mind when I started watching it. I thought nobody else remembered that! Although you forgot about Lawler's totally sick burn to Barrett: ""I have some bad news, maybe you won’t be here next week!" I still get chills.
Best insult in my opinion is CM Punk to the Rock in the buildup towards their match at Royal Rumble. "You need to understand, that your little jabs, and your insults, it's all kiddy games. You can't leave a mark on the champ's face. Come Royal Rumble, understand when you step in that ring, your arms are just too short to box with god"
I love when hes beating someone down in the corner and slaps the back of their head and calls them a son of a bitch. he used to do it a lot to shawn micheals
During a feud between Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff the story line called for Ric to have a heart attack in ring. A few weeks later when Eric was cutting a promo on Ric Flair Ric storms down and grabs a mic and goes Ric Flair Crazy about abuse of power. Eric cuts in and says something to the effect of calm down you don't want another heart attack and Ric Flair responds with "The next time I have a heart attack I will be on top of your girlfriend pal"
One of my favorites was when Daniel Bryan got into the ring to do a promo to commemorate the year he'd been retired, and The Miz came out to taunt him about it, basically asking him what he was doing there if he couldn't wrestle. Daniel retorted that not being able to wrestle hadn't stopped The Miz one bit.
An underrated Kurt Angle insult was to JBL when JBL was US Champion: "You call yourself a True American Hero. Well, compared to REAL American heroes, you suck!"
"You're good for two things, one is being a waste of space.... the other's being the perfect partner in a three-legged race" - John Cena to Zach Gowen.
I think the best insult ever is when Chris Jericho said "I'm going too take care of that sweaty, greasy, nasty animal......... And I'm going to get you too rhyno. The look on steph's face is priceless
That entire segment where Cena returned to the Dr of Thuganomics was brilliant. Fans booed him coming out, cheered him after the diss freestyle. Easily one of my favorite Raw promo segments in the last 5 years.
I may get some hate because of her recent passing, but H's best insult is back in '99 at St. Valentine's Day Massacre when he and X Pac faced Chyna and Kane. "For the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home... And for Chyna, come on out here and get your ass kicked you big jacked up bitch"... Just my opinion, lol.
Seth Rollins: You know Dean, your humour was never my type of thing but it was always better than listening to Roman over there trying to from sentences. Payback signing segment.
Cm punk on Kevin Nash "triple H doesn't know what's best for business and you're just going to suck up to whatever word he says.totally don't really answer this it's a rhetorical question if HHH would ask you to jump off the bridge would you? Because I think that would be good for business “drop the mic”
"Even a 747 looks small when you fly it into the grand canyon." That's one of the ones where you have to grab your friends and shout and make a big fucking ruckus cause the burn was so sick.
"I find it ironic that some one with the word "book" in his name has apparently never read one" - Edge to Booker T in 2001. He also destroyed Billy Gunn after his King of the Ring victory way more harshly than The Rock ever did: "You're like a vacuum cleaner, managing to both suck and blow at the same time", "1999 is so two years ago, it's not my fault you've done a big pile of nothing since then", "Commissioner, I vow to you that I will not 'Billy Gunn' this King of the Ring title" + ended the promo by calling him Billy Bitchcakes. The promo is on youtube "Edge's KOTR Celebration Segment feat. Christian, William Regal, Tajiri & Billy Gunn 6/25/2001"
adam what video was it where you said something like "if you disagree, log onto twitter, leave a comment, and ill move right along to not giving a fuck."
