A Wolverine war movie is what everyone really wanted to see. For more awesome content, check out: whatculture.com/ Follow us on Facebook at: / whatculture Catch us on Twitter: / whatculture
For Wolverine, I could have also watched an entire movie of X-Force. That opening part where they take a building is fun. I can't believe it wasn't the whole movie.
I bought my Father a VHS copy of, “Pearl Harbour” (Two cassettes). He’s never watched the whole movie, because he”s still mad at himself for starting the second half, first. So he has no idea what’s on the first cassette, and vows to never will. 😂
The bit about Arnold as Hamlet wasn't, to my mind, about miscasting as much as it was an indictment of modern audiences who demand action over the vacillations of a character like Hamlet.
Jurassic World Dominion should have been a movie showing the Dinosaurs on the mainland and how they would affect the world, causing an ecological imbalance by wrecking havoc on the environment and completely changing everything. Instead, we got some stupid story about locusts and the same setting as all of the other Jurassic park films, with the main characters on a remote island containing all the dinosaurs that they have to escape
Also, should have had Maisie Lockwood be a hybrid of human and dinosaur DNA, or at least containing some dino DNA. Would have made more sense why people were after her, to make genetic super soldiers, or too learn how to clone people efficiently
I expected X-Men Origins: Wolverine to be number 1. That opening sequence was treated as background exposition, but should have been the entire movie, or at least the first 90 minutes.
I'll start by saying i never read a Shang Chi comic, and i had no idea who he was before watching the movie, so i'll say that to me, the character of his sister, a ruthless crime sindicate boss was more interesting and i would have liked to see that story.
His sister doesn't exist and Shang chi was supposed to be one of marvels top fighters. So making her the better fighter probably hurt his chances of his character returning in a meaningful way.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine SHOULD have been the updated, superhero version of Rambo: First Blood. The trailer gave SO much more promise. It's right there in all the visuals. How did they not see it? I have NO IDEA how they fumbled that bag. SMH.
It's funny that you bring up the wars that wolverine goes through in X-Men origins wolverine because I thought exactly the same thing upon first seeing the movie almost years ago. I thought, oh yeah seeing wolverine and his brother go through all the wars in a whole movie would actually be really fucking cool.
In the book/novel HOLES by Louise Sachar, there was a nice story about a black Onion Farmer, Sam, and a white school teacher, Kate Barlow, and how they fell in love and met their demise in an American town in the post slavery abolishment time. It was a lovely few pages of the book and I always wanted a book/movie made up of that story alone. The school teacher survived the ambush the town through on them that killed her lover, Sam, and she later became a gangsta and thief and overall outlaw. Movie needs to be made
I didn't see the Solo movie, but it sounds like it might have been more interesting had it had a different title and focused on Beckett and his group as a whole, without any knowledge of their backstories. Gradually we could learn their names and more about them including Han, although at this time perhaps he might be using a different name. Finally the movie could reveal that he is indeed Han Solo, after having dropped little hints throughout. The budget probably would have been a lot smaller, and maybe they couldn't have afforded Woody Harrelson, but if done right it would have set up possible sequels...
3 is a great piece of Science Fiction, but it's still just intended as a lead in to "Here's where we are now." The failure was the guy they have as the hero doesn't look the part. One that should have been on this list is the idea set out in the beginning and music intro to "Die Another Day." A James Bond movie where the question of "has Bond been turned into a sleeper/mole" for a whole movie, while he fights to clear his name would have been an amazing ride. Instead, it's lackluster at its best.
Similar to independence day. The Matrix resurrection briefly shows a war being two factions of machines and I want that as either a movie or something like the animatrix
That Wolverine movie feels like it was written and drected by people who never saw the first 2 X-Men movies. First, the dog tags they give him look nothing like he had in the X-Men movies, but flashbacks showed Logan was upright in the tank, yet laying down in the Wolverine movie. And its biggest sin of all, introducing a clearly adult Gambit 15 years before the events of the X-Men, giving any hopes of a Gambit/Rogue relationship a major age gap
0:31 I wonder what Terminator would be like if Stallone was in it. Wasn't he one of the candidates? 4:19 AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! I do want a Civil War movie with Logan.
I would have said the opening of Mortal kombat (2021). I was so hyped that I asked my wife to watch it with me, and by the end, we were wondering if I put on a different movie by accident. But hey, now I know Scorpion's weapon is a gardening tool.
Another Hugh Jackman movie I'd nominate is "The Fountain". I thought the conquistador fountain of youth story within a story was a lot more compelling than the "real" story and should've just been the whole movie. Probably why I liked "Noah" so much, it had a very similar feel.
Instead of X-Men: Apocalypse, we should have had X-Men: The Return of Magneto. The story of Magneto in Poland trying to be a father, husband, and regular person was the X-Men movie we should have had. There was so much potential. How did Magneto get to Poland" Why Poland? Was it because of his Jewish ancestry and surviving Auschwitz? How did he fall in love? What was that love affair like? What type of father, husband, and neighbor was Magneto? There are so many unanswered questions. If you answer these questions, then pick up where X-Men: Apocalypse introcudes him, you have an X-Men movie that requires tissues along with your popcorn.
I always thought that the Eternals coming on earth for the first time 7000 yrs ago was a better movie than what we got because it would include different civilizations thousands of years ago with different architecture, costumes and customs with no cars or smartphones or technology, far better than the generic stuff we got
Basically Yang/Sad Flute's Segments In The Warrior's Way other than that the other stuff was pointless as hell especially Tony Cox I never liked him ever since Me Myself And Irene slept with Jim Carrey's Wife during their marriage father her kids and took off with her "It's Just a Movie" I know that but It still sucks though TBH
I don’t get why Taylor kitch gets so much hate he should of been in it more, his remy labeau is better then the first X-men movies cyclops, and most the other mutants in that movie cept Xavier, magneto, Logan and Xavier but Taylor kitch and liev shrieber should be in Deadpool and wolverine at least victor
There is no universe in which Cuba Gooding jr is better than Ben Affleck. Talk about someone who won an Oscar that wasn’t deserved!! There were at least 3 people in Jerry maguire who were more deserving than he was
Solo was not the problem at all , the fodder it is remembered as is only their due to the last Jedi, any movie would have gotten hate even a Luke skywalker movie would have gotten boycotted
Hot take: Octopussy is Roger Moore's second best Bond film and demands a reappraisal. It's the perfect blend of the fantasy of SWLM & realism of FYEO with a way better pace then the latter & EVERY character in it is interesting IMO
About Solo, it wasn't that there wasn't a demand for a Han Solo origin story, but rather the fact that it has already been done in a book trilogy by AC Crispin 15 years previously... For me, rewriting a solid narrative that took 3 novels to tell into a 2 ish hour film, changing just about everything that had been accepted as canon until a couple years prior to this cinematic dumpster fire being released, well it just didn't work on so many levels...
This video wasn't good. At first, you really showed movies within movies but by the end you basically just said you wish the movies were different movies. Bad writing on this one
Nah it was objectively bad. District 9 came out around the same time and blew it out of the water. With one/fifth of the budget but way better effects.
Eh. I mean it's starts off ok with the Wars Montage and the Team X stuff, but turns into a boring love story for a while, then declines pretty rapidly as soon as he gets his claws into a generic action movie with terrible CGI and Editing. I don't care about accuracy to the source material or even continuity to the other films in the franchise, it was just a boring and bad movie on its own merits
