Walmart already has a monopoly on the market putting small brick and mortar stores out of business and on e-commerce. They suck! And treat the employees like crap.
I was abused by my manager in Westfield Indiana and again in Kokomo, Indiana . I will not say his name. It was the most horrible time in my life. I would sit out in my car and cry on lunch hour. No one from the company would help. I finally was sent to a different store.
I’m sorry to hear you had to deal with that, as too many in the company are abused daily. No one has to put up with that treatment. Is the store you are at now better in terms of management? Take care.
My local Kroger, what few times a year I go in there, gives me the vibe that they think they are doing me a favor by allowing me to shop there so, I go to their nearest competitor that gives me the vibe that they appreciate my business and my hard-earned money a lot more. Kroger and companies are just too big.
You can add in Detroit to bust the meat packers union, they closed stores, then leased the closed stores to individuals to run as grocery stores at inflated lease rates, and required them to buy their food from Kroger at inflated prices. Most of the stores ended going out of business, bankrupting the individuals that they leased to, and creating food deserts all over Detroit.
I used to work here and theyd get mad if i came in from getting carts if i needed water or to use the bathroom someone is supposed to always be out getting carts 30 minutes per person and they didnt like if you come in for anything only if there was a thunderstorm
Back when I was growing up the only major grocery store chain was Kroger. There was no Walmart as Kmart had that niche. We had little grocery chains like Piggly Wiggly, H&L, A&P and IGA but Kroger was the big boy in the block. We didn’t get a Walmart Supercenter until the mid 90s and still Kroger was king as they only sold food. Where I live now we have a Walmart Supercenter several Foodlions and an Aldi. They’re planning on building a Kroger where I live in place of the defunct Farm Fresh. I doubt that I’ll shop there due to the fact I just found out that Addison McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao is in their Board of Directors. I can’t stand the Senator much less his wife.👍🏾🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I will say McConnell’s wife needs to go! I will say our Kroger’s needs to restructure their bathrooms! And, the last couple months, when, I do my grocery shopping the refrigerators where the put the cheese at, only this one in particular has a strong smell of like salver, every time, I go it smells stronger, and, today the smell was really strong, it’s almost if the smell is coming out of the cooling vents! Aka/ even though this is a older Kroger’s they have not had this refrigerator case all that long, just a couple of yrs! You only smell this smell when, you open up the case!
I have a question for those who have worked at Kroger during the last five years or so? What were your opinions on the "Top of the Hourly Conditioning" tasks we've had to perform on the hour? I personally didn't like them because I thought they were a passive aggressive form of micromanagement, it also made it harder for us to get our actual duties done.
I’ve spoke to mngr about the weird stalkish treatment I get from one of their employees there name Jeff more than 4 times and still they refuse to do anything. Another employee Sheila is, so disrespectful....has like zero type at times courteous customer skills (I loathe when she’s working the customer desk), the other is this strange acting Brenda, who has to make sure that she has to come up & take $$ from certain cust (which I may be wrong, but she may be pocketing it), & lastly David, whole narcissist, mishears people and then gaslights them (he makes the mistake, but the customer). I hate Kroger’s it’s all whole 💩💩show to me now, after have been a faithful customer since the late 90s. Now I go to HEB, Whole Foods, Central Market, Trader Joe’s are Rarely ever go to Kroger’s the way I use to (their so non-existent in my mind now, if they fully go out of business I (they) will Not miss them. They have a few people that are good, but too, too, too many other A$$H*L3S. Too many.
What was it like working at Kroger when Dave Dillon was the CEO? I heard it was a much better company to work for during his run as CEO, I worked at Kroger for several years during Rodney McMullen's tenure as a CEO, the first two years weren't too bad, sadly the last year and a half (right around the management purge in the Fall of 2019) was when Kroger was really started to go down the crapper, then when the pandemic came along things have hit rock bottom, I left in early 2021 and I'm much happier at my current job Like what Ken Seyfried said in the Working People: The Seyfried Family Interview podcast I was also noticing a major increase in the workload along with hours being cut, it was affecting my work performance having to go through that.
If you actually watched the video they had the rainbow but people were acting like children and were triggered and y'all complain about libs being triggered when you conservatives complain more than most democrats
glad Kroger fired the hate filled employees, you don't wear their uniform, find another job. If a store had a Trump logo i'm sure people would refuse to wear it and the right wingers would want them fired(and far worse know how violent they all are)
The only thing, I would say is McConnell’s wife has got to go! Other than that, Kroger’s has been our area for generations and, I just got groceries from their today!
Walmart quality is nothing compared to Kroger’s! Walmart leaves expired food in their freezer cases why past expiration dates! I have had this happen to me several times and, that ends up leaving the food taste horrible and, it has gotten me sick! The last time, I brought some pre-packaged lunch meat, it was on the verge of going bad! I try not to get very many grocery items from Walmart the first of the month when, I go there to buy my necessities! Side by side also go buy cheese at Walmart and, then, go buy cheese at Kroger’s and tell me which cheese is better over all, it’s Kroger’s! Walmart’s cheese: the texture is dry, tough and heavy! No, cheese at Kroger’s taste much smoother and creamier the way it should! Milk at Walmart taste heavy and close to going sour! Again Kroger’s is creamer and, is lighter! My mom, my grandparents, family and myself have been Kroger Customers for life!
You’re the one that’s lying. I worked at wokers(Krogers). In the employee website, it talks about pushing the rainbow in the name of “inclusivity “. # yourliestoprotectpervertswillnotprotectyouonjudgementdaywillotork
