I have a suggestion... Athletes that were stuck on teams that could never get them there. Names that come to mind: Felix Hernandez, Dan Marino, and Allen Iverson
Reggie Miller, Henrik Lundqvist, Carey Price, Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, Mats Sundin, Ichiro Suzuki, Ken Griffey Jr., Andre Johnson.
I met Ickey Woods a decade ago, and he was very down to earth. Not long ago, he once owned a Women's Pro-Football team called The Cincinnati Sizzle. Went to a few games to show some support.
Karlos Williams in 2015 for the Bill's was a true 1 Year wonder. Tied 2 NFL records for rookies and looked to be a solid RB2 and redzone power back.... by end of preseason 2016 he never played again in a real game, and by 2017 he was out of league.
I kinda miss josh gordan, but he’s been doing drugs since he was 12,over half his life,he could’ve been one of the best wide receivers of all time if he wasn’t doing drugs,he might be up to sum in the xfl tho
I feel bad for Derek Anderson for that "laughing incident" up by 50 or down by 50 to assume you cant have a monent where you laugh is absurd. The camera caught him at the wrong time. He isnt the first nor the last thats having a laugh on the sideline down in a football game. Dumb af.
You could name every free agents in the nfl and where they will land. Devin White Lavonte David De'andre Hopkins Sammy Watkins Dawson Knox Ezekil Elliott Jadvleon Clowney Jamal Dean Dalvin Cook Kareem Hunt
Kyle Orton Truther here. He was better than Tebow. And Tebow only got the start because McDaniels drafted him.. could’ve been the field general the Broncos needed back then..
Don't forget about Tommy Mattox who was a draft bust with Denver, found himself out of football for a few years, ended up in the original XFL, parlayed his success in that league into one magical 2002 season where he guided the Steelers to a playoff run. Sadly he regressed big time in 2003 and it allowed the Steelers to draft Ben Roethlisberger.
The case with Bennett was he thrived in Tennessee because of the lack of WRs we had. Derrick Mason was our main guy. Kevin Dyson (got last name wrong) never played up to expectations.
Peyton Hillis is the worst Madden cover ever! Hillis didn't lead the league, or the AFC, in rushing. Nor did Cleveland make the playoffs. Madden had a contest for folks to vote for the cover athlete. ESPN Sportscenter had multiple players from multiple teams appear & make their case to get votes. Coming off a career year in Philly, Michael Vick made the comment "if I were to make this year's Madden cover, I'd be the only 2 time cover athlete." And the rest is History.....
I think it depends on what your definition of one hit wonder is one season, one game, one quarter, one pass or hand off and done??im sure all of those have happened!! Similar to one hit wonder in music one album, one song, one hour in the recording studio before you realize you suck at it
@@marcelljackson2868 His mechanics were terrible, and I didn’t think he would succeed. And he was a great athlete, but may not have been successful switching to TE. Anyway, he’s a wonderful part of nfl history!
Tebow wasn’t even a 1 year wonder. That defense carried him. That one year he still sucked ass. At least Derrick Anderson made the pro bowl his one year.
I had allen hurns that one hot year he had on my fantasy team. Got him last pick of the draft. Didn't matte if he had a P or D by his name, he still played hurt. I guess the injuries piled up and it wasn't sustainable.
I’m not really gonna count any of the guys that got hurt. That’s not anywhere near the same as doing incredible one season, then just falling off a cliff the next.
I hope you'll consider this one as a suggestion. How about the 10 best white running backs of the Superbowl era? John Riggins and Larry Czonka should both be top five, but the other eight spots should be interesting. Thank you for reading and hopefully considering this idea.
knowshon moreno should've made this list he had one good year with the broncos which of course was hin contract year then signed a big contract with the dolphins and stunk it up again.
Actually, he wasn't the rushing leader for '92. He led almost the entirety of the season but got nipped by Emmitt Smith at the end by twenty something yards. However he wasn't horrible the year before or up until his injuries. Much like some of the names on this list, if he could've stayed healthy, he woulda probably been solid for years.
Video suggestion: Every teams best position throughout history and every teams worst. For example, the 9ners could be LB with Willis and Warner. The Jets could be cornerback with Revis and Sauce. The Packers would be QB with Farve, Rodgers, and maybe Love. God bless! Jesus is king and saves ✝️🤍
Ugh Steve Slaton was such a fantasy bust when I took him in the 2nd round in 2007. Allen Hurns the week after he went off against the eagles week 1, got outbid in faab by over 10 bucks in 2015.
You could do an entire Top 10 list and debate based on Browns players being one hit wonders. And as a fan of a division rival I love it because usually us, and Pittsburgh, as well as the occasional appearance from Cincy always torments them year after year after year.
