Egyptian Mistrals was "originaly built for the Russian Navy", not the Mistral class itself... Mistral class was built for the French Navy, the others countries are customers. Another proof that this channel is nonsense, they make mistakes, mixing differents facts, and at the end, the description is wrong.
The Type 075 helicopter dock is a new generation of amphibious assault vessel and far larger than similar ships previously constructed for the PLA Navy.
I was on a LHA for a training sail from CA. to HI. and what I was astounded by is that a Marine Battalion and all attachments such as Engineers, AAPC's, Helicopter and Fighter wings, and all landing craft could be carried on that ship.
It'd be nice to see Great Britain build a Mistral under license perhaps now that Ocean is gone and Argus will be retiring soon. Mistral looks like a nice, modern, capable ship class for its size. To bad GB couldn't have just bought the ones Egypt purchased..... Anyone know what Great Britain's plans are after Argus? Just launch amphib operations from the carriers??
So what? It's still for short or vertical takeoff aircraft only. Both of the US LHA listed are also capable of F-35b operations, that doesn't make them CV carriers. LHA 6 has recently been operating in the western pacific theater with a maximum F-35b load out. The nickname for this is lightning carrier...... but it's still an LHA.

It has the size and ski ramp its all there along with the crane and harrier and flight deck.

I simply state that there is a STARK and LARGE contrast between a CV with catapults operating MUCH heavier and therefore much more combat capable F-35c's Vs STOL LHA's operating a very capable but yet seriously nerfed F-35b's. Thats all. Fixed wing alone does not make a CV. PERIOD F-35C > F-35B in range and weapon loadout in beast mode especially. E2 AEW > Rotor wing AEW. CV > LHA in wing size, aircraft types, sorty rates.

Also similarly, Japanese navy ships fly under the Rising Sun Ensign, which has red rays. I am not familiar with the navies of the other countries and whether or not they fly under a different flag to their national flag. However, considering the British flag shown here hasn’t been used since about 1800, it is highly amusing for such a significant mistake to be made. I guess it is only 220 years out of date, and maybe the person making the mistake wishes it is still the 18th century.
the best true helicopter carrier on this list would be the french and japananese ship. The US is more true carrier army operations. the french and japan ship dont have a ski jump and cant be modified for any f35. Japan will use its other bigger ship for f35.
RFA Argus is not a Helicopter Carrier. It's a Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship for the Royal Navy. It's used to store supplies and perform replenishments at sea to Royal Navy Ships and vessels. We don't have a Helicopter Carrier in service anymore. We used to have a Helicopter Carrier called HMS Ocean before she was decommissioned from the Royal Navy and sold to the Brazilian Navy. We only have 2 Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers. We have no Helicopter Carriers within the Royal Navy Fleet. RFA Argus can carry the Merlin HM2 Anti-Submarine Warefare Helicopter and the Royal Navy Wildcat HM2 Anti-Submarine and the Royal Navy AW101 Merlin Helicopter. She can't carry that many helicopters she can only carry a few. She is also used for Amphibious Warfare and she can store military vehicles aswell for disaster relief operations and Humanitarian Aid operations aswell. She's a truly important ship within the Royal Navy Fleet.💪🇬🇧

Grant Sansom-Sherwill Considering they gave Great Britain a flag that hasn’t been used since the year 1800, and they place the Juan Carlos as longer than the Canberra class when they are the same length they don’t seem to have any interest in accuracy. Looking up both America Class ships in Wikipedia suggests that the Makin Island is slightly small than the America and has a draught of 7.9m vs 8.1 for the America, however the differences are minor and it is not logical to list both ships and leave off the Trieste.

Only complaint is that it comes in the original packaging. So everyone knows what it is and could potentially be stolen. Other than that it seems like it’ll be comfortable. I’m currently 5 days away from giving birth and it fits around my belly comfortably. Price wise it’s perfect. Can’t wait to use this with my new little one while chasing my toddler.

Lols. You managed to find another 2cm in length to rank Juan Carlos ahead of the Canberra class. A rounding error. In all other respects Canberra is larger because of its internal bulkheads giving it a larger draft and hence displacement. Query whether the Makin Island is truly 70cm longer than the America Class. Again in all other respects the Americas are bigger.
I'm not sure ANY of the top 5 in this list in any way count as "Helicopter Carriers" as most were built from the ground up to support F-35B's and V-22 Osprey's as their principal air assets. Well okay the Izumo class is being retro fitted to take the F-35's. Also the Makin Island and the America aren't really that different. The Makin Island I think technically has a higher displacement, as it still has the Well Deck to support Marine Landing Craft. The America and its sister ship Tripoli forgo the Well Deck for a (lighter weight) second Hanger Deck so they can carry a full squadron of F-35 Fighters. I think the only actual Helicopters the America carries are 4 ASW SeaHawks. Also note the second America class ship is weeks away from entering full service at the time of this video. The USS Tripoli is just finishing Sea Trials and will enter service in early summer.
Juan Carlos, Canberra where designed before the F35B they where design for Harriers. Izumo was design for copters. The 2 US most likely had Harrier in mind. None of the top 5 had V-22 in mind.
The USS Makin Island is a Wasp class carrier that the America class is slowly replacing. There are still 7 of them in service right now not one. There are even 2 older Tarawa class ships that the Wasp is based on in reserve still. You also forgot the Queen Elizabeth class. Like the America class and a few other she only uses STOL or VTOL fighter jets in addition to helicopters. Also the American and Wasp class are being equipped with the Ospreys newer Ospreys as well as the F-35B. The America and Wasp class typically carry 6 F-35, I am not sure how many the Wasp can carry, but the increased hanger deck size on the America class is designed to carry as many as 20 in a standard configuration when acting as a light carrier. The Queen Elisabeth class carriers carry 24 F-35. While the Queen Elisabeth class has phalanx system for closeup defense it lacks the longer range missile defense of the America and Wasp class and has to rely on an American Arleigh Burke class missile destroyer for protection. Other than the America, Wasp, and Queen Elisabeth class carriers, only the Izumo, and Juan Carlos are the only ones planning on using the F-35. The HMAS Canberra is based on the Juan Carlos and it is planning on holding helicopters right now. It still retains the launch ramp though because it would have been too costly to remove. While they have entertained the idea of adding F-35B to the ship it would require costly upgrades and as of right now they are not planning on it. Also understand that the America and Wasp class as well as several others are at their heart an amphibious assault craft, but these two carry the most by far. They hold 1,687 Marines, 2 large hovercraft, and a landing craft as well as 4 M1 tanks, as well as transports, artillery, and supplies and they can operate as a medical ship with 600 beds. The America class removed the deck well for its first 2 ships to have a larger hanger and more ammunition and fuel for the F-35b. They are adding the the deck well back starting with the 3rd ship, but will reduce the number of hospital beds to 400. This puts the capabilities of the Wasp, America, and Queen Elisabeth far ahead of the others and from what it looks like the US will eventually have possibly 12 Ford class super carriers and 12 America class light carriers, more than all other countries combined.
It is incredible (almost outrageous) how you could forget the Italian Navy which has two large helicopter carriers in line, Trieste and Garibaldi. Shame on you.
Well America has 11 aircraft carriers with a minimum of 4 more being built, and 8 active amphibious assault ships, with more being built currently.... China got some catching up to do lol
On your graphic it shows that USS Makin island is a LHA. It is a LHD. It also shows a draft of 68.1M. Every time I watch one of your video's I find errors with out even looking for them.

You should use displacement instead of length. A ship may be slightly shorter, but if it is wider or has a lot more vertical volume, it should be considered bigger. And then you started including hybrid aircraft carrier towards the end? Very inconsistent and lousy ranking method.
Why you do not mention the most important information: How many and what type of helicopters it can carry? To a point, it is meaningless all the data you give about beam, etc. without this vital information.
