Carl’s shark tangent was nearly as entertaining as Simon’s. I’m becoming more and more of a fan of Carl’s hosting and delivery.

I was waiting for him to tell of catching one by the tail while out scuba-salvaging and despite the resistance of the water with the rest of us - he was able to swing that mother over his head in a circle with viciousness that allowed him to throw the shark like a sling throws chocolate to children on the other side of a fence, from the depth of water to the height of feet above the surface of the water. He then tore his wet suit open from the collar, before going back to parlaying in the sand

This episode is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Karl deserved a chance to find his own feet like Simon did and wow. Karl, you do you, without fear. This was brilliant. 👏👏👏

I can echo that feeling and this comment! As a long time TopTenz fan, enjoying Karl's articles here and in other chanels like Today I found out, Biographics, Geographics, since before the inception of Fact Fiend and a fan of his channel after the creation of Fact Fiend (in which Shell, [the creator of TopTenz, Biographics and other sites] had a hand in creating), I've been enjoying a lot this new era of these channels and the word of Karl and the Fact Fiend crew in tandem with TopTenz and the graphic channels'.

The symbiotic relationship between the “Tongue Eating Parasite” & the fish, almost reminds me of the character “Dax” on Star Trek’s, “Deep Space 9”, except only one participant is aware of it.

Dax was my favorite character. Jadzia was like super badass hot, and Ezri was like girl next door cute. Plus, they went to Ole Miss, which makes them and Dr. McCoy, my favorites.

I'm glad they didn't edit the part where Karl's phone goes off and so does he😆 The co-beneficial relationships animals have can be pretty interesting, but the fish tongue parasite is the strangest one I've heard. Seems to be working well for both parties but 😱

Have you heard of the game Subnautica? It's a game about being stranded on an ocean planet. I also have a fear of deep water and while the gene is terrifying at times, it's worth the stress. Or maybe don't play it because it might make it worse 😬

Sometimes scientists and others find moose parts in orca stomachs. Apparently some moose swim in the ocean to eat seaweed, making them prey for orcas.

The tongue parasite is freaky but it’s worse once you realize that after it eats some of the food the host fish eats, it then must defecate down the host fish’s throat. You’re welcome.

My 3 favorite shark species are Hammerhead, Eppaulette, and Whale sharks. Hammerheads are thought to be especially sensitive to electromagnetic frequencies because of their head shape. Eppaulette sharks can walk on land and survive out of the water for an hour or more. Also, I think they're adorable. Whale sharks are stunning and I like that they won't bite humans. I really want to swim with a Whale shark someday, but I think I might still be terrified because they're huge.

Also, the Kea bird in New Zealand can't be kept in captivity. It's too intelligent and so far researchers have been unable to provide a puzzle/challenge it can't solve. Being so big, it can also move the huge chunk of firewood you put on your rubbish bin lid to try and keep it out of your rubbish in the south island.

I’m sure someone has already said this, but the cookie cutter shark is different from the Wobbegong 😊 not trying to be a know it all, I just have all the info on sharks bc my son is OBSESSED. Wobbegong was first photographed by Steve Irwin and was his favorite shark. They’re bottom dwellers and very cool looking. They may also be called the carpet shark??? I could be wrong about that. Love the videos though!!!!! * they are in a family of multiple sharks known as carpet sharks.
