10. Blender 2.91, Spin a Profile and Sculpt the Surface - here I demonstrate mixing the techniques of mesh editing with sculpting. The vertical profile of a form is drawn using an imported photograph of a pencil drawing as a template. This profile is then spun in 360° like the profile of a pot on the pottery wheel. The 3D model is then switched to sculpt mode and the surface of the form enhanced.
This series of videos has been put together so information builds from one video to the next. With potters and ceramic artists in mind, a number of computer 3D drawing techniques are explored with clay 3D printing in mind.
