@@Reaper007_CODM All BMWs have brake intervention that pre-tension the brakes so it makes stopping easier given the scenario. But, the only ones that come to a full stop are the ones that have the apative cruise control radar. So if the X1 has the package where it can use adaptive cruise, then yes it can full-stop itself.
Executive pkgs usually include the laser lights which do see a lot further down the road. See the IIHS testing to see what I mean. This could be a huge safety upgrade.
Hey David great point, yes, that is correct the executive does include Laser lighting, which is practical in terms of safety. Not sure where you reside, but here in the US, it is a bit complicated because the feature isn't allowed to get the full effect if you're in regular headlight mode, only if you have on the high beams. Regardless, still great to have!
Again, great content! Question, I've notice in my X6...While in park w/the car off. I can press the idrive (control knob in the center) and it makes the car turn remote start on. Is this normal??? I can use the remote start on my key fob & app, but this happened accidentally & notice it seems to be another way of starting remotely while I'm sitting inside listening to music. Thanks for help.
Hey there! I've actually tried doing this in a couple vehicles after seeing your comment and didn't have luck doing it. I really don't think it's normal for it to do that lol, but it could be beneficial I guess =) The only 2 ways of doing remote start would be to press lock 3 times on the key, or through the app.
I miss having remote start (had it in my Honda and used it every single day even when I didn't need to) lol... I currently have a 2019 X3 M40i running Idrive 6 and I can't remote start on it (was advised by two BMW dealers). There's aftermarket options but Idk how I feel about messing with the ECU & then paying big bucks if something happens cause warranty won't cover it.
Agreed, they didn't introduce remote start for the X3 until they did the facelift in late 2021. I haven't heard of many going the aftermarket route for remote start, and I wouldn't recommend it if it voids the warranty. its not the same but you should have the ability to precondition in the summer times. If you have heated steering and heated seats, that will have to suffice until you get the next X3 =) The new ones now, you can schedule when you want your remote start to be on, select days, and times!
Great point and I agree for the 2 series, and even the Z4. When you get the DAP for these it doesn't come with lane assist which basically defeats the benefits of self-drive. 3 series does it very well though!
@BeamerView when you drive a 3 series, you want to press the gas and brake and steer the wheel all by yourself to feel the hike of adrenaline 😀 that's the point of driving a 3 series.
Bought a new 2023 BMW X7 just to find out I want be getting the update for speeds upto 85 mph on the self driving. Im pissed 100,000 suv and not getting what I was told. If you want a BMW X7 what till I can really get the updated version with 85 mph self driving. Cause I'm sick 🤮 there should of told me
Agreed, but quite honestly, I would not feel comfortable being in self drive on those speeds. Reason being is that other drivers are not always smart when it comes to driving these days and puts a bit too much a risk. Personally, I see myself using this feature mostly in traffic jams. If I am going on the freeway i'll use it up to 65mph but nothing more.
It should show the speed limit either on the instrument cluster, or if you have a head up display you would see it there. If it's still not showing it could be the area you are in, or a software glitch.
Thanks for the feedback Frank! I left out many options that BMW does offer, even small ones like tow hitch, spare tire, laser lights, wireless charging, gesture control. Many of these I do not think are required. Point of the video is to point out the most popular packages and options and give an explanation regarding them, along with some personal opinion! When I ordered my 2022 x3 xdrive 30i did not offer the adaptive cruise control, no heads up display and no parking assistance package, I wanted all 3 but they weren't even offered
I have the x7 2023 y got the new update yesterday, I want to try the new remote control parking from the app but it didn’t work on me, maybe the app need to be updated. My iPhone is updated and I do have the smart key plus on my phone.
@@M4Comprtition Congrats on the 23 X7, it's amazing. Yes, brand new feature it'll take a little time before it gets perfected in my opinion. BMW is going through a phase where they are releasing a ton of new tech such as iDrive 8, digital key plus, etc. They all have to be perfected along the way.. It does seem like you have everything needed for it, but it may just need some time to fix the bugs.

Thanks for buying the course and supporting the channel! Adaptive suspension in my opinion is a must have. The suspension does a phenomenal job and you can notice the difference a lot more when switching through the drive modes between sport and comfort. But in comfort alone it'll still feel better than the regular base suspension. It makes the vehicle "glide" over the highway and does a great job dampening the road bumps!
I agree. Tetragon looks so good in person, the pictures do not do it justice. I had a hard time deciding trims when i built my x5, but when i got it a month ago, i immediately knew i made the right choice. It really pops, because most of the car is black with cognac seats. Also it doesn't show dust flakes unlike the wood trims.
Thanks for backing up the point! It honestly is probably one of the most underated trim pieces. It catches my eye every time in person and feels great to the touch as well.
Hey beamerview for some reason when I go onto to the M performance parts website it says the M performance exhaust is not compatible with my 2023 M340i Xdrive why? I live in San Diego
Does the adaptive suspension change the steering response and handling as well? Ordered 330i with m sport suspension. which one is more cushy ride in comfort drive mode.
Steering not as much, but handling and road feel for sure. Adaptive suspension would feel more smoother IMO. Adaptive suspension makes it feel like the vehicle glides when you're in comfort mode, and still provides really good handling when you're in sport mode. Regular M Sport suspension is good too, but more of a bumpy good handling ride.

First and foremost I want to thank you for replying to 90% of my questions every time I ask lol, I have another question :-) is there a way to go into the car settings to disable the car lighter being used even when the car is off. Sometimes I forget to unplug my radar detector and even when the car is off it keeps the radar on
Not a way to do that through settings Im sure, but one thing I would try is try holding down the volume knob after you turn off the engine, that should turn off the system on the inside like the screens and lights and possibly the socket as well. You could also try making sure you lock the vehicle. Anytime! Happy to help!
Good point, I will say many non-msport BMWs are still going out. Being at the store that I'm at, I feel M-sport vehicles are about 1/3 of the total units. Granted that number is going to be going up since the younger generation is on the rise!
@@Scotford_Maconochie For the X6 yes, I can agree that they are more equipped with the M-Sport that the usual BMW! I will say that this is still a 50/50 scenario. Most of the people that buy X6 do love the shape of it, but can still sometimes be hesitant about the sporty looks and feel of the M-Sport.

Yesss B&W is above all and out of this world. I've heard it in the new iX and its the best sound system I've ever heard and felt in a car. Many X5s that i've came across needed to be equipped with at-least the premium package in order to have the HUD.

Hey Marvin! Thanks for reaching out and glad you're learning along the way. X4 course will be a little ways away since there isn't enough demand for it just yet, it is one that I will eventually merge into the X3 course since both are extremely similar. If you would like, the X3 one we currently have does go over many of the X4 features since both of the vehicle's are the same exact platform, tech, bells and whistles. The only major difference really is the trunk setup. (You can push in the rear BMW Logo from the bottom to open the trunk) I would recommend checking out the X3 course if you're looking for the closest recommendation for the time being!

Hey Ginny. Has to do with where your side mirror selector switch is on. Move it to the other direction to have the side mirror to go down. Note that it only does one of the side mirrors.

Freeway, most likely not. The system will bring the vehicle to a full stop if it has that package, but only a lower city speeds. This will happen even if the cruise control is not being used.
@@BeamerView Thanks! Last week, I was driving from NYC to Chicago. While passing through PA, I was driving around 75mph(not in cruise control). There were only 3 or 4 other cars ahead of me. One of them suddenly went into full panic braking. I managed to slow down just in time. It turned out that the Mercedes GLC ahead of us just hit a deer that jumped out... Fortunately, the driver was not hurt. The car was totaled(most likely) and the deer was in 4 or 5 different pieces scattered all over the interstate. :(
I know I could research this, but I feel you would be someone that knows the answer. I have the 2020 x3 X30i with the exec package and everything else expect the drivers assist PRO. Any chance for retrofit?
@@S_Paoli Yes, with this day in age with phones being a part of our lives, and deers, it's more important than not to have a package like that. Mine has also saved me a few times, and i feel ever since covid people have been getting into. more and more accidents lol. Too bad deers can't get the drivers assistance pro for themselves =)

Thanks! It could depend on where you're living. Obviously if snow and ice is a big deal if you live closer up north, it's wise to have a winter setup. But most of the parts especially in the US. xDrive with all season does a great job as well. I've mentioned it in the last video as well, Summer Tires are a BIG no no for snow and ice, just in case that was the thought =)
@@BeamerView that makes sense for sure :) It is just that all-season ones are usually not great on either surface, and for BMW it's a shame if you spent 70k+ and not take advantage of that great driving engagement on tarmac, and than you struggle in snow as well (in compare to a good winter tyre). Most people still very underestimate the importance of really good tyres. Keep up the good work, I always recommend your channel to my friends, after they buy a BMW :)

Depends on what year your BMW is, if it's 2016-2017 and older it may be that it is no longer available since the car is built on a 3g network and all the cellphone towers now are LTE/5G. But I would get the remote start, apple carplay. The others i don't really use.
