I remember when McDonald's sold Happy Meals in little plastic trick-or- treat buckets at Halloween time. There was an orange pumpkin and a white ghost, and the ghost glowed in the dark. I loved them.
It's like when AI tries to make a joke, it just picks something random based on key words. I have a feeling not a ton of thought goes into these videos.
It wasn't Hi-C Orange when I worked at McDs in high school back in the late 70s. It was just called "Orange" and it was just some kind of generic orange drink.
They used to have deep fried apple and cherry pies that were really good. They looked a bit like big hot pockets. They were later replaced by baked pies that were ok, but not nearly as good as the deep fried originals.
My husband and I were talking about those the other day. They were twice the size they are now, and even though they were deep fried, they were crispier than the new ones. The newer ones are soggy. :/
Tanya Morris We’re talking about the sandwich being a good idea, not the packaging. The McDLT would be done with cardboard these days...the same packaging change all the other sandwiches that USED TO come in styrofoam have experienced. Get it? The Big Mac USED TO come in styrofoam...or are you not old enough to remember that? Geez...🙄
You can google Hi C orange lavaburst, for sale, around me, and you can still find it , where I live its at Krogers, Walmart, Amazon, and also if you have the tanks like they use in the restaurants, you can buy a huge concentrated syrup via the Coca cola company, just be sure to include the lavaburst on your search because thats what mcdonalds used.
coldkeyes I never had the McPizza because I believed it discontinued before I was born but I’m sure it would taste good. It’ll still be in deep competition with the other pizza franchises like Pizza Hut, Doninoes, Papa Johns, etc.
The current Filet-o-Fish is nothing like the original. Just a hamburger-sized fish patty. When it first came out, it was a decent-sized piece of fish. Only thing comparable in fast-food outlets today comes from either Wendy's or Arby's.
Believe it or not, the Fish fillet is probably the highest quality item on the menu. It is sustainably caught Alaskan Pollock from American fishing boats. and it's fresh. I was floored to find this out, but it is true.
Onion nuggets is a good idea - bite sized onion rings. Nearly every onion ring I've ever eaten I have ended up with the bite of crust I took along with the entire onion piece, and I'm left with 3/4s of a onionless onion ring...
How the fuck is that an ad lmao they even made fun of some of Mc Donald's products and called some of them which actually tasted good like the MC pizza bad tasting.
White Alliance last one I had didn’t taste like anything. Just foamy. Almost made me sick. And the price of any shake has made it a once a year treat for me Give me a cone!
Kristin Wood: I sure am too! Orange Hi-C is what I would ALWAYS have with my Filet-O-Fish sandwich and Chicken McNuggets and I never knew McDonald's had gotten rid of it! It was a complete surprise, as well as pissed me off!
@@jarodh-m6099 that's what I was thinking of when I saw this, but Jollibee's is not nationwide. The Philippines and SOME places in California and a few other places were lucky enough to get them so far lol
Try some onion Bhajji from your local Indian restaurant. I also like fried onions. Outback Steakhouse’s blooming onion is also good about once a decade. Don’t try to eat that by yourself twice in a month. That’s made to be shared, not sure I’ll ever touch one again. So much greasy onion... but Bhajji is wonderful! If it wasn’t snowing and my car didn’t have a dead battery and a flat tire I would totally go get some in an hour when my favorite place opens
I loved mcpizza. I used to get the mcpizza happy meal. When we did pizza day at school, it was mcpizza. Ah I miss it so much - it was actually pretty good.
Mcdonalds tomato sauce tasted like frikkin candy the whole dish was disgusting... Mcdonalds pepper is a joke too its not good quality like wendys ... Wendys also has sea salt which is delicious
I used to love the McDLT. I never thought of it as having to “be assembled”. You just had to put one on top of the other. I always thought it was discontinued purely because it happened at the same time McDonalds phased out styrofoam containers entirely, not because people couldn’t be bothered “assembling” it.
Yes MseeBMe you are actually correct. In my opinion, it was the best burger McDonalds made, and in fact the McDLT was actually a big hit. It did have a 7 year run it. It's hot/side cold /side packaging actually made it different, like a burger you would have at a back yard grill out assembled yourself. It was really just a 1/4 pounder really but somehow seemed better, fresher. A Islip New York trash barge (Mobro) bouncing around the eastern seaboard a few years after the McDLT was introduced, caught national attention and led many in the media to claim hysterically that the US was running out of landfill space. The McDLT's two sided styro container was attacked as "wasteful" and McDonald's shut it down in 90-91. Without the unique container it was just a 1/4 pounder. I didn't really think it used any more plastic than a pancake/syrup meal and the plastic salad containers. McDonalds should have ignored the whiners.
You forgot the best one; The Cheddar Melt! It had grilled onions, melted cheddar on a rye bun. They use to bring it back, once in a while, like the McRib. That was the only reason I went there.
I was just gonna write about it....me and a guy at work at the time had a saying what's better then one cheddar melt? 2 cheddar melts....white cheddar sauce. Not just a slice of cheese....was about 97-98....it disappeared....but if it came back. It would suck....mcdonalds just sucks now....
We get mozzarella sticks in the UK. It's part of our menu. Although they take it off the menu a few months of the year but then they do Christmas mozzarella sticks 🙌
Can't get them anymore in Minnesota. They took them off the Menu a few years ago. I don't eat pork, so there is nothing on the breakfast menu for me. The Taco Bell Steak Grande Scrambler is basically the same thing as the steak and bagel sandwich, just in a tortilla.
The pizza was awesome. I waited. My husband used to say that it sometimes took too long because the pizza would often burn. Still - bring back that pizza!
When they came out with fried chicken, I was like no McDonald's. No. But I was with a friend one afternoon and she wanted to try them so we did, and damn it they were really good! I mean you didn't get a ton of chicken nor were they particularly meaty wings but they were sure tasty and (at least the times I had it) the breading was nice and thin and super crispy. I still miss them :D
It was gone for awhile I believe but now the McRib is a seasonal item. They have it for a limited time each year. They advertise 'Its Back' every time. It's REALLY popular! You can tell when because everyone in town is eating there!
@@handsoffmycactus2958 Weird...I'm from a country that doesn't have any special McDonalds item other than the big tasty though...we even lack some of the things that American McDonalds serve.
The main thing with the McDLT is that every other time they've tried to offer a sandwich with tomatoes it's just a huge risk that you will get a soggy mess that drips red food coloring. I don't remember loving it but it was as close to a Whopper as they've gotten.
@@BCThunderthud I worked as crew, then manager for years. Tomatoes were never soggy. There is a 2 hour holding time - at least then it was - on tomatoes, cheese, onions on the dress table. I've see tomatoes cut and have cut them. Trust me, they're not soggy, so that's not the issue
@@BCThunderthud I NEVER got a doggy McDLT! Hello, that's why u "keep the hot side hot & the cool side cool". Quality fuckin burger & they need to bring it back
onion rings are easier to make and they take up more space for less product allowing them to make more money. More onions are needed to make the onion nuggets than the onion rings.
Italy: i have best spaghetti Mcdonald's: no im gonna beat you McPizza: Yeah Same Italy: no u *McPizza and McSpaghetti was gone* McPolpettone: atleast im aliv- Italy: no u *McPolpettone was gone*
They make it the Filipino way... sweet and sour with cut up hotdogs.. it's not so much bringing back the nostalgic 80s menu items as competing with the local fastfood Jollibee's Jolly Spaghetti though
I miss the cherry pies! And the Fruit ‘N’ Yogurt Parfaits! And the Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich! But I have hope they’ll come back someday! As will the McSalad Shakers-and salads in general-and the Arch Deluxe, which was my mama’s favorite back in the day!
I miss the twist cones. the mix of chocolate and vanilla! also the shaker fries. I don't know the official name of it but you would put your fries in a bag and get some sort of seasoning like ranch or bbq or something and you would have "ranch" or whatever flavor fries. I also want to say I miss those halloween buckets as well. they were cool.
Erob 15 I loved those! They discontinued them at all the McDonald's around us unfortunately and I don't really care for anything else they have except fries. I thought they sold pretty good but I guess I was wrong.
There used to be a brownie dessert that was dark chocolate heaven if you needed a chocolate fix. It came heated up and was basically wonderful chocolate goo. I have no idea why they stopped carrying it about 10 years ago.
@@BabbleTop nope. hi-c was / is never carbonated. served from fountains, sure... but not carbonated. its a fruit "drink", of the same ilk as Capri sun & Kool aid.
