What's crazy now is when I watch movies and TV from the 80s and 90s, they seem to be of a much higher quality. The plot and dialogue is so much more intelligent and raw. It also feels like a lot of effort was put into these works, more so than today, where I swear technology shoulders most of the production burden.

But in spite of that, there are plenty of good animated shows that aren't overtly pushing a political message or ideology or are bipartisan and make fun of both sides (like South Park and King of the Hill). Pretty sure that a lot of anime series actually do have a message that could be considered vaguely conservative, but again, it's not meant to be overtly political and it doesn't try to preach to anyone, which is probably why more people are moving to anime and manga instead.

You might be surprised at how often paramedics or other medical professionals either think someone is dead when they aren't or don't notice that the patient died / stopped breathing while standing right next to them. There are various errors that contribute to this, but the two most common is a phenomena known as "anchoring bias" and "confirmation bias". Anchoring bias is a tendency to rely heavily on the first piece of information you hear. Confirmation bias is the tendency to see new information as consistent with and supportive of what you already believe to be true. It works like this. Someone is severely injured or is near death from a medical condition. A bystander calls 911 and says "I found a dead body" or "there was a motorcycle accident... ughhh... this guy is dead." The information is relayed to emergency services, who then expect to see a dead person. When they arrive, they look at the victim. Maybe he is covered in blood or has grievous injuries or appears not to be breathing. There might be some subtle signs that the victim is not dead, but these are overlooked (if he is dead, why is he still bleeding) or discounted (did I just feel a very weak pulse there? No, I think that was just my own pulse). It is very important to follow your usual procedures and to make your own independent assessments every single time. Have you ever noticed that when at doctor's office or ER, you get asked the same questions 4 times by 4 different people? Many patients see this as a sign of disorganization and get frustrated by it. You explained these fallacies well and you even gave in dept real-life examples for these concepts. However these example are too niche and would require a linking statement from this niche to the subject (politics in media) which there is a lack of, and that explains the replies from the confused people under this comment. This is ironically the same problem with the woke media, its ideology appeals to the niche population that are chronically addicted to social media politics. Thus when presented to the mass, people are disinterested and confused and responded negatively.

Because people of color, gay people and trans people aren't seen in art as the widely accepted straight white characters we see. To be fair a lot of companies are going broke before they try going woke. It's a last minute desperate attempt to bring attention to their product/cause after they already failed. Not all companies are this way but it's fairly obvious when companies slap politics into their game last second, like when they put Pronouns or gender options in the character creation screen like in Cyberpunk but it played zero role in the rest the game.

I recently played Gotham Knights. The game has LGBTQ agenda sprinkled throughout. Like there's an email from Batgirl to other Batman's sidekicks asking them to join in the Pride parade. It's just there, as an email. It has nothing to do with the gameplay, nor it's included in the game's storyline. It didn't influence any character developments at all. It's just a useless nonsense that wouldn't influence any changes in the game at all if it wasn't there. The dev just put it there to virtue signal to the woke mob.
@@higherground9888 A lot of it is freedom of information is getting out. For years many companies lied through their teeth about their success. Claiming more sales, subscribers etc than they really had. There is a reason most companies like Blizzard don't tell you how many people are playing their games like Steam does or Streaming services tell you actual viewership numbers. Basically a lot of companies been working at a loss for years but were able to hide it better. Now that it's impossible to hide they use things like Woke politics as an excuse of why they are suddenly going bankrupt.
The problem is as it always is that we see the pendulum effect. Push too hard and one direction and it swings back the other way as hard if not harder. Pushing agendas down people's throats will not wear people down it will simply wear people out. I'm absolutely exhausted with the culture crap since 2019 and onward and the pandemic only intensified it. A lot of people have been simply marinating in their own ideology this entire time and staying well in their echo chambers. As much as I would love to blame the terminally online for the situation I can't it's really a corporate thing in the corporate world has been leaning hard. I don't think I've seen a bigger push for this than I have in the last 3 years or so. It's gone from a noticeable noise to a loud basically unignorable deafening roar. Sure it's just unintelligible white noise that means nothing but it's incredibly obnoxious and almost unavoidable nowadays.
Social Media has also had really intense upticks in popularity and algorithmic direction. It's likely that they're fueling a lot of stuff like this. They were already making a lot of changes to pivot to this over the years. I don't trust TikTok or RU-vid or anything on it's own unless I've thoroughly looked into it. You have to curate everything and question everything now, as so much of the internet is now designed to raise this nonsense to the top.

I'm aware those are successful shows that have come out in the last few years and I'm also aware the themes and things that just happen to be in those shows as well. It's hard to really hold those up as anything considering they're all over and done. (and I believe HBO Max/WB has actually cast infinity train into the void) But name something that's come out new over the last let's say year. There's nothing. All the stuff on Disney channel but cartoon network even more as they've completely shut down their cartoon network studio. It's just being toxic in general. If I didn't like people being hateful on the right, why should I accept it from the left? The movies involving woke people always go the same. As an tran man myself, I never really liked the woke politics. I agree with you that you shouldn't be hated for what or who you are, but the woke politics seem to be deeper than that. No matter what you do, your always doing something wrong and offending someone. I often see other trans people getting upset and doing outrageous things over being misgendered. Most people rooted in the woke politics, are so focused on all the people who do them "wrong", that they are blind to the wrong they cause.

And not even with trans stuff! Oh no! She was a self-described _communist_ and believe it or not _that's_ the primary reason she got so much flak from my friend group online. Imagine a trans woman touting the glories of communism and shitting on people who don't agree with her while in the same chatroom as a Russian, Romanian, and all of _their_ friends who directly suffered under communism. And then imagine her cussing them out for being neo-Nazis because they called her an idiot for it. The Romanian friend was absolutely guilty of a few transphobic jabs at her just to piss her off. Misgendering her on purpose, which I told him he had to stop doing. The others, fortunately, would call her by her preferred pronouns while still saying she's a shitty person, which is exactly the way it should be. Her being trans had nothing to do with it. Hell, we had _another_ trans woman in our group _also_ calling out Trish for her shitty behavior how she'd start a fight and then cry about it when she was shouted off and act like she was the victim. It wasn't just them, either. There was one who was willing to yell at Trish herself, but the other trans folks in our group all grumbled about what an awful person Trish was. Eventually we got rid of Trish when it became clear she was never going to see fault with her behavior. Unfortunately, she's still out there somewhere and she has learned nothing. And I know somewhere out there, some impressionable young man or woman is getting their opinion of trans people shaped by angry tankies like Trish. This pushes them into the arms of people who _do_ genuinely hate trans people for being trans. But for some reason, people like Trish are accepted as being reasonable in politics. They or at least their demographic got mistreated, so now they get _special permission_ to be a dick to everybody else apparently. It's not even a majority of any group. All it takes is a few assholes to make everyone avoid you, though. I myself have personal direct and tragic experience with being discriminated against like that. I was illegally expelled from a very good school because they thought I was _mentally ill_ and going to shoot up the place, all because _one_ little boy with aspergers in some other state decided to stab some bully who had been tormenting him for a decade. All it takes is one bad impression, and it's ruined for the rest of us. Even if I understand why it happened, even if I sympathize with the kid getting bullied, I'm not that kid. People really don't know what discrimination feels like until it happens to them, and you feel so fucking helpless and sick. This isn't to say I have it as bad as someone whose differences are more obvious, such as the color of their skin, but where would I be if I decided that I was doomed to be the victim in life? Well, I'd probably be like Trish, hiding behind my differences so I don't have to confront my faults.
These days on tv and movies they are putting out a message of "you can do what ever you want and have your own opinions as long as it's done my way and your opinion fits the narrative".
That's why the push for ESG scores is becoming a bigger and bigger thing to negate this. Say a company without a certain ESG score to be denied loans or listings on the markers. Then every company will have to comply and it is already happening.
I like what I've seen several other youtubers call it. It's "anti-marketing". They purposely do divisive and controversial things to piss off and split the fanbase hoping that it will draw attention to an otherwise declining product and signal to one side that they are a "good" company they can be happy to support.
You're right that it's a tradeoff of narrowing your customer-base in exchange for attention. Turns out that narrowing your customer base to an archtype of person that believes they deserve everything for free isn't exactly the best business move.

I think it's more that if you make products that will only sell to 5% of people, you better be able to make those products cheap enough that 5% of people buying them can keep your company afloat.... woke or not doesn't matter, what matters is making things that sell... for some reason, people keep making things that don't sell, because they think people will eventually start liking things that don't apply to them, if they just keep repeating themselves long enough.

But as someone who watched even episode multiple times, I noticed a very small shift. Then I would notice Moons opinion on things he spoke about before be completely different than they were in a different video. Once I started looking for that intentionally it happens so much it would seem like every upload was written by a different like minded human. Then finally in a video he was propping up a company he had already had a strong opinion against. This channel is great in the fact it has spread information that surface level people wouldn't know, I think its appearing to be anti establishment to gain followers who trust this information they will drop their guard while watching. Like every thing else, don't take what I say as fact, obviously do the research yourself instead of listening to a single source. Trust nothing, question everything.

Totally agree with the points to marvle and vice. They make ``being woke`` the main point of their products. I still think Black Panther was partly so succesfull because of the message it conveyed, but it was accompanied by an actual story, not just about the oppression of a certain ethnic group. And Disney is just a trend rider at this point, hoping the modern political messages will sell their stuff, instead of good storytelling etc. Because overall I am not against diversity in classical stories, it just sucks when the story is entirely changed to center on the (insert any political message) instead of an actual story

The good thing is that the backlash these companies face will allow for other companies or start ups to come in and take part of that market that those big companies held for a long time. In the end it could be a good thing, force competition again. Bring in new players to the field. For instance when I saw the Gillette commercial I immediately started looking for a new razor company. I found Supply, really great company out of Texas making great single blade razors. And I plan on never going back to Gillette. The point is that if you don’t like the message they are pushing do not give your hard earned dollars to that company. No matter how much Blackrock compensates these companies with investments, if there is no cash flow there will be no investments. And that company will either have to change its ways or just be pushed aside by other newcomers. Don’t ever be loyal to a brand or a company, the only people that benefit from brand loyalty are the elites who then get to take advantage of that loyalty and do whatever the hell they want to do.
It’s because the average consumer is fairly unaware of all the woke stuff that started in 2015. As soon as it goes mainstream and it’s literally everywhere, people can’t help but notice it at that point.
I'm not the only one who noticed that this all started in 2015, which was a watershed year, and I've felt from the beginning of this year that something was wrong, all that vibe from the late 2000s and early 2010s. had completely disappeared.

There are stories that we like of main characters who start out believing the whole world owes them for their existence, and end when they realize it's the other way around. If these woke stories start with a character thinking the world owes them for anything and end with that belief becoming a reality, then we're royally screwed.

And she manages to stop that monster with help of other monster, while no one of her men colleges almost don't believe in her until very end. If you struggle to guess what is this film, it is Silence of the Lambs, the best feminist film of all, which won five Oscars (that was important at that time unlike nowadays). And the book is even more feminist, though the writer is man.
Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight brought the idea of people who like to "watch the world burn" to the forefront for those paying attention. Also The Joker (the character, not the film) wanted to do this. He wanted to take an active part and destroy what he saw as a corrupt system being brought to its knees. Now we can sit back and watch Western civilisation, this delicate experiment of the actual people ruling, being brought to it's knees, to it's end. The Woke cannot build or maintain. They don't have the skills. They can only sit and complain that "Life isn't fair", & "I don't like this [insert thing]" as every generation for the last 200,000 years has done. The only difference is that the previous generations had to (eventually) grow up. Now, this lot, just dye their hair and wonder why no-one takes them seriously as they dance to whatever tune the MSM tell them.
Not to mention Snow White is a German folk story. Therefore instead of making their own film, they change a story that has been a part of history since 1812. If it was a folk story from anywhere else outside of Europe, no one would touch it so as to not be seen as cultural appropriation. But because it's a European folk story, it's fair game.
One of the reasons why it's successful is because of its association to white culture. Their exist lore from Africa, Asia, Latin America but they don't make movies out of that often, let alone good movies. They struggle to make asian starred movies in the last air bender and dragon ball z lol which is called white washing. The United States don't really do movies of other folklore starring other non white groups so theirs that.

Its ok to have main characters gay, not identify as anything in specific, or be any race, but it needs to feel natural and fitting for the character. It’s like they forgot the entire purpose of tv and film is to provide a form of escapism. People want to get out of their lives and get lost in a story. When you pepper in tons of culture war nonsense, it completely kills any degree of immersion for the audience. And this becomes exponentially more true when the stuff you’re shoehorning in is divisive or condescending. Anyone going to see Snow White for the nostalgia factor doesn’t want to be told “we made Snow White, but we made it BETTER because we rewrote half of it with the correct ideals”. It’s like going through an old photo album and realizing someone photoshopped half your childhood friends out and replaced them with “better friends”.
These movies were made because you and people like think the media you watch is apolitical, so they have to make it as obvious as possible so babies (and you) can understand. It's bad storytelling the same way dora the explorer is, but at least you actually understand it enough to not like the messaging now.
