@@leccybadger My car cost me £1600 and is faster than a load of cars that are over 20k, better handling and sounds nicer. Not to mention it has doubled in value in the year or so that I've owned it, rather than plummeted like most of the cars over this price point will... You don't have to spend lots of money to get decent value if you do some research.
@@morgan1985uk I didn't even, granted I got it at a steal when there was a brief dip in price about halfway through the 1st lockdown (so probably increased about 50% - 75% from its actual value at the time) but done nothing to it. Previous owner had some Michelin Pilot Sports on there already.
@@MD.Motors I love the E92 as a car. My Mrs has my previous 320d which we've had for 4 years which we have taken to france on a 640 each way trip. Ate the miles up with about 47 MPG doing 130kph
I owned one for 3 years and loved it. No problems mechanically, and it was certainly quick enough. Only issue I had was that certain light finered people wanted it too. It got stolen once and recovered, and they tried to have it away a further 3 times!
i also have an e92 335i currently not driveable as my crankshaft position sensor is gone and can't afford it fight now as all my money went on my 13mpg average lmao

Out of all those cars if you add 3k to 4k you can find a Cayman s (boxter with a roof) with very low milage. Probably because it didn't catch on very well in our market when initially released. (Obviously outside of budget but worth having a look).
@@detailingshorts885 I believe the video lists the 0-60 time as 5.3 and 300BHP. BMW is known to undervalue the car’s power and I believe it’s certainly the case for that generation of 335i. I loved that car so much. It was the last gen to have hydraulic steering as well. I haven’t driven the newest model but the models after the E90s haven’t had nearly as good of a feel.
My 2010 MK2 focus st3 3 door running 310 paid 7k for the car and done the map myself, unbelievable car Great fun, however be prepared to put £40 in every few days
E90-93 Fuel Injectors are ridiculously bad. However bmw have now resolved this issue with a new supplier. I remember having changed 18 fuel injectors in 6 years of owning the car. The cause of the issue was if you dont drive the car on a regular basis the injectors start leaking.
All cars I would love to own, but I hate cars that need maintenance I can't do myself. One of my cars is a 2006 NC Miata I bought in 2011. If you are talking cheap to run: this is it. Only things I exchanged were the front brakes. Further: no issue at all, nothing. Depreciation about €500 a year... till now.
Yes all of these are cheap cars but have you considered the insurance? Itll be sky high because of how sporty alot of these are and engine size and that. So really you should be going for something that's less sporty but still fun to drive, a car known by less people so it will be cheap and the insurance will be aswell

Great video! This might be a good place to ask. What do you guys think of the BMW 3 Series 318i for my first car? Insurance not too expensive and I like the looks. Never been really into cars until recently so if anyone has a suggestion :) Im looking to spend max 6/7k insurance inclueded.
Don't give up on a car because of the insurance group, you never know what criteria they are judged by could work to your advantage and be affordable for you but not for another person your age! Always check.

toyota gt 86 is my dream car and honestly you cannot find it in europe under 15k also you have to pay many taxes etc so basically you need around 20-25k to buy it lmao.
Great list but but having the mk7 fiesta ST on this list should be a crime, it’s the definition of fun to drive and I got my 2016 model with 30k on the clock for 9 grand

There are loads of other cars that could have been on this list- S2000, Focus ST, Brera (with the Busso...mmm), RX8, Mazda3 MPS, Mazda6 MPS, SLK350, Leon Cupra, Astra VXR, Golf R32, etc...and I've totally ignored all automatics. Not because they can't be fun, it was just because the list would have been ridiculously long! A V70R would be very tempting.
Should I keep the cash and save it (by getting the 330i) or spend it and get the 09? That 06 is in truly new shape (its a local guy not in a hurry to sell). Obvious worries are the turbo/fuel pump issues after the CPO warranty runs out. But I would lose out on the turbo fun. Is it worth it?
the 330i is a fine dependable car. it won't have HPFP or turbo issues down the road. they are very similar looking and most people aren't going to know the difference. you are buying a car that to most people, looks current. people shit when i explain my car has 140,000 miles and is 6 years old. the difference is obviously in the power, if you think you will use it, then by all means go the 335 route. that's something that depends on you and what your priorities are. take the 330 for a spin though, it's not a turbo but it is still an impressive car.
