My dad drives a Renault 5 Group B Rally car, I drive a VW Polo 9n & Mazda MX-5 NA, and there are plenty of other cars I'd quite like to get my hands on...

Most money I've lost on a car - the GS450h lost me £8k. To be fair though, it cost me £20k while my next most expensive non-Porsche is my current Pug for £16k and that's probably lost me £7k of that in under a year 🤔 Both cheap cars to run, but the depreciation made the porker cheaper overall! In percentage terms though, my Punto depreciated 112.5% since I had to pay someone to get rid of it 🤣 I suspect the F82/3 M4 will keep dropping for a while yet - it's unreliable, common as muck and isn't a last of its breed type of thing as the latest one is meant to be very good too. The F82/3 was better than I expected though, the interior put me off before and it's the reliability stopping me having a 2nd look really, but it's not entirely un-tempting.
If you stand at a slight angle then you won't have that blinding reflection my guy. Also, nice one scaling down on the rings....you look a lot more sophisticated and mature. And so is your content. Well done
I just want a V8. got a £60K budget. At the moment its either the C63 or the Audi RS6 Avant. Originally I wanted a RR Sport SVR 18 Reg, but my insurance came back at £6300 for the year. I can't justify that insurance for a Land Rover. Maybe for a more exotic car, i thought thats what it was going to be for the RS6 but that came back at a reasonable price to insure at £3500 for the year. be sick if you made a video for best V8's under £40K or £50K. Sick content, great to have another opinion.
F Pace SVR is your best bet. And for that budget you will be likely looking at 21/22 reg, possibly could hit 23 if lucky. I have a F Type R (new shape/head lights) so R is what they call SVR now with 575hp 700nm etc and that for me is less than 650 to insure.
Good job and video. Live in the U.S. and have one. Very fun car to drive and gets massive amounts of attention. Nothing else at this price comes close to looking as good. BMWs/Porsches have all become very sanitized in driving. Not this car.
The beautiful thing about the V8 R8 is the fact that yes, if something does go wrong it can be expensive, but on the whole they are pretty damn reliable. Do your research, find out what the common issues are and how to spot them and be prepared to negotiate the price down/walk away from any that could be problematic. I've had mine for a year and a half now and apart from a new hand brake cable, I've had ZERO issues.
It's the Volvo for me. I have a mapped and dpf deleted v70 D5 AWD. It is around 280 BHP but still gives 57.5 AVE MPG. Doesn't have all the electric toys that the other big cars offer but with boosted 5 pot on a twisty B road you won't miss them.
Prices of these will stay what they are i imagine, running cost put people off paying 700+ in tax a year then insurance and fuel...not cheap to run own mine outright fuel insurance and tax is around 300 per month (broken down) then you have maintance on top 😂
A dozen passengers on a minibus I was driving sustained minor injuries when the auto emergency braking system completely misread the road, and stopped dead from about 25mph. You can guess who they blamed ! I will never buy a car if it is fitted with this system, unless it can be switched off.
I think you should diversify your videos and do top 10 most practical first cars, or cheapest vans to insure for first drivers, I love your videos but I fall into this category as I work in construction, cheapest pick up trucks to insure for young or middle age drivers.
I'm getting the impression it's a lot like the Macan GTS I drove. Very good car, but I just have the strong feeling that it would be even better if it was a foot lower. I drove the Macan because the reviews were "it's a big hot hatch" but nah, no amount of handling magic can hide the weight, but especially the higher centre of gravity. I feel these things get the "hot hatch" label more because actual hot hatches have lost their character - hence I struggled to find one I liked! That said, this is "only" 1830kg according to the Autotrader listing for this exact car, which is actually not bad! The new M5 is 2435kg...more than double my Pug and over 600kg heavier than either the GS450h or this 500hp SUV. The Giulia is 200kg lighter though, so an estate of that would just be better...
I dont mind this. The one case where I would not like a limiter is when overtaking. Otherwise I want a speedlimiter as it takes that need to concentrate on my speed away. If I want to ride fast, there are always Trackdays.
My first ever car was a 1.2L 2009 corsa. Wicked first car. Reliable as heck, but my god did it struggle with hills. I get better MPG out of my 2016 290 Cupra with an ECU and TCU tune pushing out 350BHP because I don’t need to redline it going up a hill 😂 still miss my corsa for sentimental first car reasons and I preferred it to my 2018 Renault Clio I had after it
So JB, Just go back on your video of the Giulia quadrifoglio and look at your reaction compared to this . Amazing vehicle, but ... and another thing on the look of this car, would you not be completely pissed off when you have spent all your hard earned cash on an M3 to find it out of date within 2 odd years where the Giulia is timeless. Pity they never did an estate, that would be perfect.
