Agreed. I got it even more versatile by making every top work with every bottom. I pick neutral bottoms and tunic style tops and leggings so every top works with every bottom. I can wear the tunic as a shirt by stuffing it into pants or as a dress over leggings. I wear grey, brown or black bottoms and combine them with patterned or structured or colour block tops. Scarves and jewelry can mix it up even more.

Sooooo no soap, shampoo, conditioner, razor, makeup, bras, sleepwear, etc.... I can tell u one part of my luggage is toiletries and the other part is clothes - in vacuum sealed packs in a much larger luggage 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
5:30 To see her toiletry bag and her explanation that while she doesn't pack pajamas or bras, there's still room in the bag for more stuff for those who do. Personally, I use a backpack that looks a bit smaller than her roller bag and I have plenty of room for MORE toiletries and everything else I need. To each their own.
The thing about this plastic bag idea is that, I use it when ı have to get into the heavy snow. Like a mountain trip that we do once a year in the winter. I'm not goüng to by new and expensive boots that I'm not going to use on daily life just for this occasion and sometimes people just don't have the money for a boot that doesn't leak in rough conditions. These kinds of cheap tricks helps in those cases. But its not very useful in daily life, ı know that
Having lived in freezing climates, I can attest that when it's cold enough to snow vs. rain, you're usually not walking through anything that would make your shoes very wet. I recommend checking what locals wear during the season you'll be visiting. Bulky and expensive parkas and boots are often unnecessary or even TOO warm. I don't even like a thermal bottom layer unless sitting outside a long time because interiors are often HOT and quickly removable layers are key to comfort.
Does TSA allow metal fork and spoon? I watch similar videos where they recommend a reusable spork that has a serrated edge for cutting food. Camping spork with the fork on one end and spoon on the other with a serrated edge in middle. What about a multitool? Multitool useful when camping or removing boot bindings.

Mmmmm... I'd disagree on the layering. If you have better material clothes (eg longjohns), then you won't need as many layers. And since you don't need as many layers, that saves you space.
Sometimes possible, sometimes not...two of my favorite travel items to pack are my portable clothesline and fold-up plastic hangers, both of which help when handwashing items. 😁

I'm considering a microfiber towel for more water removal than rolling in a regular towel, but so far it hasn't seemed worth it since most things dry overnight anyway.
YES to multiple thin layers for cold weather travel! People don't always realize that cold climates are actually cold AND hot because interiors are often so overheated. Thin under layers with quickly removable warm outer layers is the key to comfort, no bulky pullovers necessary.
Any suggestion if hot cold long term travel. I cant wear a big jacket in hot climes on buses etc. I took a puffa light jacket but in s pwhad to but a thicker jacket extra layers boots and then leave it as couldnt pack etc or wear in next place walking and bussing. Any way round this. Cant send it as would have nowhere to send to.. I dont want ever to check in again as last time bag was lost 2xweeks costing tome and mobey plus again buses put it out at wrong stops coukdnt believe it so will hsve to ensure is small enoigh to carry on. With ltop cameras will be hard
@@lbunnygordon1133 I've lived in extreme cold climates like Wisconsin without needing boots, but everyone is different. If you can be comfortable with warm socks (can layer two pairs) and spray-on waterproofing of your all-weather shoes, doing without boots alone can save a huge amount of weight and space. Puffer jackets are normally a great solution depending on the heat rating and water/wind resistance and whether you have sufficiently warm scarves, hats (I sometimes use two in coldest weather), gloves, and other layers. ALL exposed skin allows heat loss, so brainstorming ways to improve the coverage and heat retention of layers before resorting to a parka and boots would be my choice even if living permanently in a cold climate again. There are incredibly warm and lightweight synthetic options that can be reworn multiple times without washing which saves space. If that's still not enough warmth, what about scheduling your visits to cold climates during the warmer shoulder seasons or doing them in sequence to make the economics of investing in a parka for temporary use more palatable (secondhand or rental options could lower the cost). Travel is already expensive, and most of us buy and dispose of all kinds of things for convenience in everyday life. So if being in extremely cold places is important to you, perhaps accepting the expense of temporary gear as a clever travel hack would make it more palatable. Donating something like that afterwards would also be a way of blessing someone in the community you visited.

Bring rubber bands in order to squeeze your rolled items in the packing cubes. Bria bar of Castile soap. Wash every night, instead of bringing so many items.
I also love packing using carry-on bag. I am using my Nomad Lane bento bag as my carry-on, it is a duffel bag that packs like a suitcase! It has a trolley sleeve and key leash and can fit under the seat! I just love this bag so much. Thank you so much for sharing this! Awesome!
"Cold weather"? 🤣 she packed flimsy /short sleeved tops, NO jumpers, NO fleece jackets, NO proper winter clothes ! I'm in Normandy France and you are going to need a lot warmer clothes than her fancy stuff , those boots are a waste of time here in winter , they'll be wet 24/7 for your whole holiday and ruined.
I actually prefer this method of combining multiple thin layers with reusable warm layers like the ones she showed when visiting or living in freezing climates. I find it more versatile and comfortable for transitioning between overheated interiors and the freezing outdoors, and thin layers are a great travel hack because they're more lightweight and versatile for one-bag travel. Shown in the video: parka jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, wool socks, 3 long-sleeved thermal tops, 2 other long-sleeved tops, three thermal bottom layers, 3 pairs of trousers, additional tops, and warm boots with two methods for keeping feet dry while wearing them. She also mentioned the sweater and jeans she would wear onto the plane. I have packed similarly to this with FEWER clothes and stayed toasty warm and stylish in freezing climates.
I pack fewer socks and undies. Hand wash at night and roll in a towel after wringing out to get really dry then hang up. Usually dry by morning, but a blast of hot air from a blow dryer will finish the job if necessary. Works great if staying with friends/relatives or in a hotel/motel.
