10 Countries People HATE to Travel to.
Today I am going to show you some countries people hate to visit.
Travelers rarely spend their vacations in these countries.
Monaco, Guyana, Bhutan, North Korea, Liechtenstein
Brunei, Suriname, Moldova, Sierra Leone
How do I know people hate visiting these countries? Because they aren’t terribly hard to get to and they don’t get many tourists. Is that the most scientifically and sound way to judge a country? No. Not at all. But, it is interesting. These are countries that get the fewest visitors.

Hey, everyone. What is happening with today's video is it is stuck on "advertiser-friendly checking" it is a process that normally takes a minute or 2. For some reason, it is hanging up and should be fixed in an hour or so. If you are being stopped from watching it, it might be because RU-vid isn't sure how old you are. Like you may not have said how old you were when you set up your account. Please give it a little time. Feel free to watch another video. I have around 600 to choose from. Thanks for being you.

Bhutan is the most amazing place I've ever visited. The people are so warm and friendly. and the variety of scenery is staggering. The nation purposely limits the number of visitors. It's also very hard to get to. Only the state airline flies to Paro (the only place flat enough for an airport).

They are warm and friendly. IF you aren't Lhotshampa/ethnic Nepalese. Ethnic cleansing wherein thousands of these people *born in Bhutan* were rousted out of the country into refugee camps mostly in the 80s and 90s. Bhutan had started repressing the ethnicity in the late twentieth century, and the Lhotshampa started pushing back, yes, sometimes violently. Things escalated and the cleansing began. Several thousand still live in refugee camps down from over 100,000. No, they didn't get to go back to their homes in Bhutan. They were given asylum by eight countries outside their area. Still, it's very pleasant for tourists. ✈

I think it’s one of the least visited because of how hard it is to get there and logistics, imo it’s one of the harder places to plan a trip to such as visas, and for me at least with my citizenship, it’ll probably be impossible for me to go maybe until I get a second citizenship. And price might be a bit high for some, but I think it’s fair.

In college I spent 1 month in Sierra Leone doing an internship. Believe it or not, I was working with the national tourism board to help promote the country as a tourist destination. That was before the horrible civil war that included mutilating their own people. It was a beautiful place though, and gave me serious compassion for those less fortunate than me. Also, Bhutan limits the number of visitors each year so the country does not become overrun and changed. It is on my bucket list.

I'm from Guyana! Fun fact: Guyana, or British Guyana to be exact, is the only South American country that speaks English as their primary language (Creolese "broken English" to be specific). This is because the British originally settled there, and brought over indentured laborers of six cultures, who ended up pretty much taking over the place. It's known as the land of six peoples: Indigenous, East Indian, African, Portuguese, European and Chinese. However, fun fact, most East Indian people from there have fully adopted Caribbean culture, and prefer the moniker West Indian. :)

Been to Liechtenstein, Monaco, Brunei, Bhutan more than once-not a fan of Brunei (boring and uptight) but fabulous rain forest. Nearby Saba and Sarawak (Malaysia) are just as interesting and attract more tourists. Liechtenstein and Monaco are always on the way to somewhere else so never stay there. LOVE Bhutan and been there 3 times. Getting there is a nail bitter as they fly down a narrow mountain valley (seemingly touching the wing tips) in an A320 only on sunny days-so flights get canceled a lot leaving you sitting in (usually) Dhakar. They actually don’t want a lot of tourists and are trying to avoid the druggy sleaze of Nepal so they keep it expensive. Absolutely worth the price as incredibly untouched and authentic-but the few hotels are luxurious.

Have been to Monaco, Liechtenstein and Burkina Faso. Its true about the border corruption in West Africa, had started in Ghana, crossed into Togo, then Benin, then Burkina Faso and back to Ghana, so lots of border crossings, we didn't have any problems but there were attempts to shake us down for extra visa fees, even though we had all the required visas from the respective embassies already in our passports. But the great thing about traveling to countries that don't get a lot of visitors is they aren't corrupted by tourism, its very genuine as well as the people very proud to share their country and history with you. Another great country to visit is Oman, though gets more visitors than any of the countries in this video.

The only two countries on your list I've visited are Monaco & Brunei, for vacations & occasionally on business to the latter. Obviously money wasn't an issue 😉. Probably the two most dangerous countries I've been to are Honduras & neighbouring Belize, on vacation - in fact I had a very pleasant time, although I took sensible precautions at all times. Lebanon is a beautiful place with lovely people and I've visited before, during & after their "troubles", but there is no getting away from the fact it could be dangerous at times - prior to one visit at a particularly precarious time for the country I made sure my will and personal arrangements were in order in case my return was, shall we say, 'delayed' for one reason or other, or I simply didn't come back.

Yes, we love to stone our tourist and foreign delegates here 😌 ... All jokes aside, true. Brunei is just not exciting for a tourist. We tend to be really quite. No conventional nightlife. And we are mostly vibing with our food scene and chill lifestyle. Besides, I believe we are quite pricey as well for the casual tourist, unfortunately 😅

My mom and sister visited Monaco. My family is probably on the low side of middle class. So, definitely not rich. I think it was just a day trip while they were in France. Anyway, they loved it. Had a great time while they were there, and highly recommended that if we ever are near, to go visit.

I visired Burkina Faso a number of years ago because I wanted a Ouagadou stamp in my passport. I really liked the place, I spent a month there got well up into the dessert past Gorom Gorom, Ouhahigoua and Bobo Dissalou. I found the people very friendly, on a bus trip they gave me food because they though I had no money to buy food when in fact I was not really hungry an was waiting until we got back to Wagga. There is not as much to see there as there is/was in Mali but if you like to get off the beaten track a little bit then Burkina Faso is a good place to be.

I think the biggest reason for a lot of these countries with little visitors is that they are near more popular areas and are more difficult to get to. The South American ones are close to Brazil, so why not go there instead. Brunei is on the less popular side of Malaysia, you have to go really out of your way to get to those tiny countries in Europe, and so on

This is a very subjective list, but you did say you wouldn't include places that are hard to travel to and then you include Bhutan and Burkina Faso as if it were easy to get there. As for Monaco and Liechtenstein, they are micro states which get plenty of foot traffic from nearby territories. That's all that's needed, specifically as they lack space and are very expensive.

I’m not sure where your getting the numbers for Monaco and Lichtenstein. I’ve been to both several times. There are droves of tourists May-October in Monaco. Each time I’ve been to Lichtenstein there have been a good number of tourists in downtown Vaduz, which is the capital. Other than that there aren’t many tourists. One of the best hikes I have ever taken was in Lichtenstein. It’s called the Furstensteig Trail. It is not for those who have a fear of heights. You are three feet from the edge of a cliff with a 2000 foot fall if you slip. The view is amazing.

Wow! I've actually been to 2 of these countries, Monaco and Liechtenstein. Sure, Monaco is expensive as hell, so it's no wonder few visits it. But it actually have several cafes with normal prices, and it has surprisingly many parking garages, making it easy to take a daytrip there. It's also breathtaking beautiful, and everywhere you go it's clean and nice. Nice in France is a popular place - don't go there without visiting Monaco, it's only 20km (13miles) away. The capitol of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, was almost empty when I visited it, and that was in late June 2018, so that surprised the heck out of me. Btw, I've been to around 45 countries, and the top country on my hate list, is Albania. Worst shithole in Europe, and should be completely ignored.

@johnnymartinjohansen Год назад
@@elpretender1357 We were in Sarande, the southmost coastal city, and also took trips to nearby places. I've never ever met so many rude and aggressive people, and customer service was non-existant. And it was dirty and filthy EVERYWHERE. We found ONE restaurant that was a little cleaner than the rest, so even though we often scouted the area for something different, we always ended up back at the same place. I wouldn't let my cat eat in most of these places, that's how filthy they were... Public toilets were few and far between, and I doubt they've cleaned them. Ever. We quickly decided we wouldn't be shopping for souvernirs at all, and stayed away from such shops and stands, because sellers acted like we were insanely rich, and would pay anything for what they were selling. And when we wouldn't, they always got aggressive. On guided tours, the guides CONSTANTLY nagged about how important it was that we left tip everywhere, they were obsessed with "informing" about this, and couldn't care less about their actual job. Albania is the only country I been to where I've worried about my safety. Because of all the aggression. Could easily tell you a lot more. Bottom line - been there, done that, NEVER EVER going back.
