The Tom Brady Clip at #5 isn’t that bad when you actually understand the context of the confusion. It had nothing to do with Tom Brady’s age but rather confusion due to the signal pole on either the left or right side of the field saying 3rd down when it was 4th
Stop it. His experience you don't need to look at the pole to figure out what down it is. Everyone else new. Just bc he has 7 rings doesn't mean he's not capable of a brain fart.
@@kylemonsterdrywallfistbump5948 well- he had 6 rings at the time- later on that year- he led the Buccaneers to the Superbowl... for his SEVENTH. I guess he got over his brain fart.
Nvm misread the comment and yes that should be #2. I thought you meant when he tried to high step his way into the end zone and Don beebe knocked the ball out of his hand causing a touch back.
Anything that allows the cheating Patriots to have happiness is stupid. So of course this is up there, same with all of the shit that led to the Falcons' chokejob.
Yes but the ball wasn't thrown in head of the receiver but low and away like it was supposed to be thrown I know whatever remember the play. Making a round of on second down and probably one of the super bowl.😊
@nosepicker88 I wonder if that and the circle around the ball are them trying to avoid some kind of copyright detection. Still a dumb thing to do and I can't finish the video because of it.
Jim Marshall still hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame because of that one play. It has wrongly overshadowed that Marshall never missed a game in his 19 seasons with Minnesota, starting all 270 possible games from 1961-79, plus 19 playoff games that included four Super Bowls. He has been credited with 130.5 career sacks.
@@DarthVader19-77 Exactly. They forget he still holds the record for most opponent fumbles recovered at 29 and the 2nd most games played by a defensive player at 282.
"Wrong Way Marshall?" Ohhhhhhh! So THAT was the inspiration for that Full House episode where Michelle kicks a soccer goal in her own team's goal and gives the win to the opponents earning the nickname "Wrong Way Michelle."
Yeah, I'm surprised that that wasn't on the list. When Keith Olbermann was at Cornell, he had a teacher that was a "Gints" fan (that's how the professor pronounced it) who said that he'd grade the class's essays after the game was over. Nobody did well on that assignment ...
I kept running through that play in my head, and hearing the story about that play. I've concluded that it was a very dumb play call deserving to be on the list because the center that was playing wasn't the center they practiced the play with. Why call a play where the most important player to not screw it up is someone who doesn't know the play?
It's so unfair that Jim Marshall remembered for that wrong way run. Guy played 20 years without missing a game. Also, late in that same game? He forced a fumble that sealed the victory for the Vikings.
'In NFL History'. I sure would like to have seen EVERY play in NFL History to know that these were the dumbest plays. What a lucky person to have seen ALL of those films.
Some NFL players just can’t help themselves in the moment. They have to Showboat and they usually ends up causing them an important game. Stop doing this people.
The Todd Gurley play was not dumb. If he went down it would have been a smart play, but if you have the chance to score, score. That loss is entirely on the defense
@@peternixon4696Then they’d lose. Here, you tell me which one you’d rather do: -Kick a 19 yard field goal as time expires (~99.5% chance of success, using extra point data from when it was a 21 yard kick to get this number) -Give the Lions the ball with minute and four seconds left and pray they don’t get a touchdown.
The weird Colts play, if I understand, was not supposed to happen. They were trying to trick the defense into a bad substitution. The center was a replacement and didn’t know he was not supposed to snap.
That is sad that Jim Marshall will be forever known as Wrong Way Marshall when he went on to play for 19 seasons. He's way up there on the list of career games played. On a separate note, how did they leave off Dan Orlovsky running on the white line in the back of the end zone?😂
I think Jay cutler throwing the football to multiple former teammates because he thought they are still teammates ranks up there somewhere. Especially when a former teammate waved and yelled I’m open only for cutler to throw to the guy and bam, interception. Cutler and his excuses: he was wide open, we were teammates before so I thought he’d help me out. He’s on the other team 🤨
To be fair, Todd Gurley was generally very good about not scoring touchdowns at the end of the game. He knew he made a mistake in that Falcons game (he even took blame for it afterwards). Dumb play from a generally smart player.
For us Browns fans, Dwayne Rudd throwing his helmet and beating his chest after he thought he had sacked the QB was a killer! Browns had a 2-point lead over the Chiefs with practically no time left in the game. The QB lateraled to an O-lineman who ran about 10 yards. Tack on the 15-yard penalty and KC made a chipshot FG and won the game. But I can harken back to Eric Metcalf's 4th quarter punt return TD in 1993 to beat the Stillers!! (Yes, I was there, too!)
7. From what I’ve read, the center wasn’t supposed to snap the ball. They were supposed to try and get the D offsides, but the center had a brain fart & snapped it anyway.
3:00 The Colts 4th and 3. The center was not the starting center and he wasn't supposed to ever hike the ball. They were just trying to get them to jump offsides.
2:58 i mean, even if they ran the clock and kicked the field goal, the kicker might’ve shanked it. To just a matter of do you trust your kicker to make a 15 yard field goal, or trust your defense to stop them. Also, the defense could’ve played better, so it’s not entirely the scorer’s fault. Now, if they were ahead, and just needed to run the clock, but scored a touchdown and gave the ball back, it could allow the other team a comeback opportunity.
How you can omit Leon Lett's 1993 Thanksgiving game blunder in the snow vs Miami Dolphins that cost the Cowboys the game....and don't forget his Super Bowl fumble at the 1 yd line vs Bills.
I know the thumbnail is fake but it’s kind of dumb. It’s supposed to look like he made a costly mistake and tripped early but there’s nobody there to touch him so he could just get back up and waltz in for the td
#8 wasn't a game winning touchdown 🤦🏼♂.... it was a go ahead TD. Unless you did that on purpose, for irony. You know, because of the title of the video.
Good stuff, but it's a bad idea to do the 'darkening/highlighting' at the key moments. Distracting, interrupts the flow, and kinda keeps us from seeing.
#7. Don't know why I never thought of this before. There had never been an explanation for this stupidest of all time line up. Perhaps big money was riding on the outcome of the game.
You include Brady just because you’re hating on Brady. Leon Lett was worse. How about the Bills not touching a kickoff thinking it would be downed and giving up a touchdown. All 5 plays behind Brady’s were dumber. How about the patriots throwing a backwards pass to Chandler Jones for a touchdown a couple years ago? Brady thought it was 3rd down on the road in a meaningless game.
@@thecrowpit24 go watch the Leon lett play and tell me it not only isn’t worse but shouldn’t be on this list. Its the dumbest play of all time. And if you’re wondering which one, Super Bowl or thanksgiving, you choose. The only reason why the Super Bowl play isn’t looked at the same way is because that game was a blow out. This list is idiotic.
Either play that you might be referring to with Leon Lett, is irrelevant. Lett’s defense still helped Dallas win the Super Bowl in both of those seasons. Between those two plays, it cost Dallas one game and NOT the season.
You might want to spit out all of the mystery white liquid out of your mouth, before you gush so much over your boyfriend. Its gross and we can see it.
Dallas may have the top spot on this list for back to back years against San Francisco. But quick reminder: Dallas has still won a Super Bowl more recently than San Francisco has.
I was there. The Bears had a 5-point lead and the ball with about seven minutes left. All they had to was to get a couple of first downs and that should have iced it for Chicago. Trubisky and the offense couldn't move the ball. They punted and the Eagles drove down for the go-ahead TD. The Bears got into FG range and then missed the kick. I don't blame the kicker. He didn't "lose" the game, he just didn't "win" it! The Bears offense and defense lost the game.
