What a wonderful set of cards Miriam, each one so beautiful, and such a diverse range too. I love the way you frame each piece too. What also strikes me is that you demonstrate so many quilling skills and techniques in this set of cards and show so skilfully how versatile quilling can be. This is a lovely tradition to celebrate the beginning of Spring, thank you for sharing it with us Miriam. ❤😘
Thank you very much, Orla! 😊 So glad you liked them! Yes, I think so too, Quilling is so versatile, I love how one can make so many different types of projects! 💚🌷 Glad you noticed the framing too, I thought it would be fun to add the little detail, it felt like something was missing without it. And I enjoyed not having to make perfect framing and just doing it freehand for the most cards.
I'm just now on number five, but I am just so impressed with your beautiful work that I had to stop and give you a comment. These are just wonderful little card gifts and I love your video!
I made the center of the sunflower the same way as the petals. The only difference is that for the petals I let the coil loosen a little bit to shape it into a petal, but for the center of the sunflower I just left the coil tight.
In the spring we have Easter which celebrates the resurrection of Christ Jesus. However many people associate it with the Easter bunny and Easter eggs. They will have easter egg hunts where the adults hide colored eggs and the children go find them. I remember coloring Easter eggs as a child and that was a lot of fun. I'm not sure how the Ester eggs and Bunny became associated with Easter. I love the idea of what you do in your country with trading small gifts with all the ladies and girls. It sounds like fun!
Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing that! 😊 We too celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at Easter. And, I agree, I don't know how the Easter bunny and eggs have become associated with it... I remember as a child painting an Easter egg too, with little lambs :).
All these mini projects are so beautiful Miriam. Very representative of Spring. We do have Spring celebrations in Mexico. People go to the pyramids and ceremonial sites to receive the first sun rays and load their bodies with energy, and in kindergartens little children wear rabbits, chickens and flower costumes. May I ask which your country is?
Hi, I love all your works.. 😊Your Patience is incomparable.. I too started a quilling channel.. But couldn't continue that. May I know, which country you are from..
Hi, Miriam! Very nice work! Beautiful! I am a quilling fan also and we also have similar holiday on 1st of March! The white and red strings we call "MARTENITSA" . And there is a famoust character (like Santa 🎅) called Granny Martha. :) Keep on the good work!
