As an old lady sewer, I am so pleased to see a young person like you making such lovely projects! Your instructions are excellent. Wishing you lots of success with your channel.
Hi! I just thought i'd share my sewing journey with you! I'm 13 and my nan's final present to me before she passed was a sewing machine. Ever since then i have loved to sew and create new things. I have even chosen textiles as my high school elective! this video was really useful and i am incredibly grateful that you could help me continue my nan's sewing legacy! Thanks so much for the great video!
@@LivsbraceletsCo it's a subject you choose to do, so my choices i could pick from were: Food tech Wood tech Textiles Robotics Design and tech Commerce And i had to choose two
I love all the bags and pouches!! The scrunches, face cloths, and the dish rags! The cat collar is adorable!! Let’s not forget those precious aprons!! I might try to make some of those for my preschool class! I’d need 10 of them! You are so creative and do an amazing job on EVERYTHING you create!! I ❤️ your channel!!
I just made a drawstring bag, and it turned out so good!! I also ended up lining it since my fabric was really thin, and I use it to keep my makeup and stuff as of now!! Thanks for the tutorial 😊😊😊
This is exactly what I needed. I recently inherited a sewing machine and I just got it back from the repair shop. Tomorrow I plan to start my first project as a beginner sewer! Thank you.
Learn how to sew in straight lines first. Just use some scrape fabric and practice until you can see straight!!! People forget that about learning. It's a skill you need to learn. Nobody is a "natural"!!! Remember that!!! Good luck!!!
Hi Catherine. Wanted to extend my condolences for Pepsi’s passing. He was so full of personality. I hope Blondie is adjusting. I too have a dual ownership kitty. He adopted us and keeps a few other families as well. He goes by at least four names. We are crazy about him! Have a good week. Love your channel. Lisa from Colorado
I use the plastic netting in making my sponges. I put it on the outside. Makes a scrubby. Our veggies in the US often come packaged in the plastic netting. Cute ideas.
Evening Catherine. It's lovely to see Pepsi in your videos again. You are so lucky to have such great footage to remember her by! You are like therapy for me. Your videos always lift my spirits. 💗🐈🌺
Just a lovely cozy video Catherine. Bless Pepsi'. Little heart rending moment. As ever, inspirational and beautiful sewn items. Could watch your makes all day long. Love to you, family and fur baby 👍🥰 xxx
I have to tell you, you are such a lovely young lady and a pleasure and an inspiration to watch! Youre very well spoken and you give clear and concise instructions. I’m a fairly newer sewer (at 51) so you are most definitely an inspiration to me. Thank you for your compilation of videos. Did you ever get any of the magic fabric clips? If not, I have a ridiculous amount of them and would absolutely love to send you a couple handfuls of them! If that’s something you’re interested in, send your address in a private message and I’ll get them out straight away. By the way, I’m a flight attendant of 25 years and Ireland was my very first international trip!! Which was awesome because I’m Irish ☘️!!! (My maiden name is O’Farrell) just thought I’d share that with you. Have a great day and keep putting out videos!
Your tutorials are very clear and easy to understand! I have made boxy pouches before, but always mess up when sewing the second side of the zipper. When I saw how you did it a light came on in my head! I even said out loud, “So that’s how it’s done!”. No one heard me except the dog, but he was very glad I finally figured it out. Love Ireland and I hope someday to visit. It’s definitely on my bucket list,
You are so right about using an iron to open seams and making them flat. Next to the actual sewing machine, your iron is your most important tool. Very cute projects!
I love scrunchies , they are so much more comfortable than the thin elastic band ones, i will watch this and than make one, thank you for sharing this vid!
Hello Catherine, I'm so sorry that Pepsi is gone. Our furry friends are such a huge part of our lives and we miss their personalities as much as their comforting presence when they go. Thank you for this compilation of sewing projects. I've put aprons and scrunchies on my to do list. As I'm needing to spend extended time in bed at the moment, I've been binge watching your channel, in particular your travel videos. Your camera work is very professional. I kept forgetting I was watching a You Tube clip and thought I was watching a travel program on TV. Great work! I look forward to watching them again soon. Thanks for all the time and effort you out into your channel. You are an inspiration and such a role model for young women everywhere. Warm regards, Simmone in Victoria, Australia
I'm so happy I found you. I'm old lol, only ever did simple hand sewing and just got a brother se 400! You've made me want to do projects I've seen others do but they gave me 0 interest in them. Thank you! 🥰
I’m thinking about starting sewing because I got all the material and an amazing coach (aka my mom). These projects are awesome and I’m excited to try them!
That’s how I made the scrunchies the other night, this was before I “found” you Catherine 🤣 so so easy to make.👍💕the hearts would also be lovely strung up on tape for bunting, hmmmmmmm 🤔I think I will give it a go. I love to have a project.
Absolute GeniuS!⭐️🌟🌠Love all these ideas before your a girl after my own heart about recycling and repurposing but you make everything look so fresh and elegant.💕😊
Hi dear Catherine. 🤗 It is said here that repetition is the mother of wisdom, and here I see that also dexterity. You have great ideas THANK YOU for remembering them. 👍 I greet and wish you all the best. with love Maťa Magulová from Slovakia🍀🐞Bye👋😊
I just got a sewing machine...randomly from my neighbour haha but I haven't sewed since I was 12 in school...so been looking for easy ideas practice make!
Love Love Love this one.... plus just watched your home made advent tree calendar that you took into work....my idea is to write a wee note suggesting to spend a day or few hours together doing something...give the person 3 choices and let them pick the one that suits you both.... keep crafting.. .love and hugs Charanne xxx
Beautiful pics of things to make! I love the collar on Blondie❤️ Dear Pepsi looks so healthy and so well cared for. We had a dog that died a few years ago and our other dog would not go near the food or toys or even the kitchen. We thought Marley’s spirit was keeping him away.
Thank for making my day and I understand how to to make each project step by step you are a great teacher at sewing you make it fun thank you and God bless♥️🙏
Thank you for this video! I had an old Honduran blanket that had holes in it, and I wanted to use the salvageable pieces to make new items. I just made a scrunchie, and the pattern and texture of it is so beautiful! Definitely going to be making more items from this video!
@@DaintyDiaries thank you Catherine! Also may I say I’m was so sorry to hear about Pepsi. I know your heart was broken. We lost our fur baby March 10, this year. We’d had him for 14 years. Was so hard to say goodby. We also had our Cody cremated, he is home with us now. 😘🙏🏻
Hi Catherine xx 😘 it was lovely to see blondie and you making her a sweet color with the pretty bow. You gave her a loving beautiful life. I loved watching you craft , you have such a beautiful soul Catherine! God bless you abundantly in all things and much love from me too! 🙏♥️🥰😘
A wonderful tutorial, thank you. I made a scrunchie last night that I skimped on fabric, will now make one with your measurements x 🧵 love from new Zealand x
New subscriber here...love your ideas. Edit: ...and your choice of fabric, beautiful! Apron: a pocket for paint brushes..nah, a secret sweetie stash!! 🤗
Thanks for this video. I really love it 😍 When you do his it seems so easy but I'm afraid it won't go that smooth in my case 😅 And as someone mentioned below, your instructions are really simple. Thanks again 😊
What a absolutely beautiful job done on each thing that you made, I bought a sewing machine and I plan to leap in and create some thing simple. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you and Yours
Aww good to see Pepsi in there and Blondie such beautiful cats. I like the cat collar and I agree the snap off kind are great. My cat lost her collar one time and we couldn't find it for the longest time. My husband finally did find it on top of the hot water tank by an opening on top of the tank. 😮 she isn't allowed in the basement anymore for her safety.
